Before retaining a lawyer and filing for divorce, many people warned me that lawyers were soulless, especially in Las Vegas, and only concerned with lining their pockets with my money. I was told horror story after horror story from people who've dealt with lawyers here in Vegas. Scary stuff! Fortunately, not only was this NOT my experience at all, but my interactions with McFarling Law Group was, in fact, the best experience with lawyers I have ever heard of!
McFarling Law Group is the absolute BEST law firm in Las Vegas, BOTH HANDS DOWN!! Not only are they determined to fight for you and win, but they actually care about the people they are fighting for.
I was divorcing a certifiable, textbook narcissist. When I first met with Emily McFarling, I was in a tight spot financially and could not pay her entire retainer. Emily gave me a significant discount so that I could secure McFarling Law Group as my counsel.
My ex-husband hid money and assets, got people to forge documents and falsify information, lied throughout the case and caused the case to be prolonged many times by not following the judge's orders and by not submitting requested, subpoenaed documentation. McFarling Law Group made sure to get judgments against him for this.
This case went on for years! This, along with circumstances due to the Covid pandemic, eventually drove me into bankruptcy. Although I owed several tens of thousands of dollars to McFarling Law Group, when I consulted with them about having to file bankruptcy, they supported me in doing so even though it meant that my bill for their services at the time would be totally discharged. They also further reassured me that I would not lose their counsel because of this and they were true to their word.
We finally ended up settling before the trial was to begin. One of the agreements in the settlement was for my ex-husband to pay them. Anything that was left over for me to pay, they completely wrote it off and cleared my entire balance!
They held my hand through years of litigation, stood beside me, and fought for me the entire time. I had a team of various lawyers and paralegals working on my case. There was not one time that I reached out to them and was not able to get a hold of them. The communication was great and they always updated me on any new occurrences involving my case.
I can not thank them enough for everything they've done for me. They were truly a godsend and I will NEVER forget the kindness they showed me, nor the fight and tenacity they exhibited throughout my entire case. I am grateful beyond words and from the bottom of my heart appreciate each and every person who worked on my case over the years. Karen Gesund handled my case, she’s straight forward, answers her phone and responded very quickly to an email I believe it was a weekend. When a debt collector in my words, “tried to get me,” by suing me, she backed them off me. She settled my case for less than half of what was owed. I really thought I was going to have to pay them half at the least but Karen Gesund got it down more than half. I’m so glad I found her. Peter James esq. has been my armor and shield against my narcissistic Borderline personality ex-wife saying anything she thinks might sway the judge including (I kid you not) that I treat our daughter like "a modern-day Cinderella" in her actual motion! Peter often cited cases of precedence from memory during consultation and always included these in his written and verbal arguments. He did not waste time with hearsay and stuck to referencing actual requisites of family law for the judge to weigh against whatever false or twisted half truth that (sadly in Nevada) must be taken as true unless evidence to the contrary is provided. Peter is the only reason I have maintained primary custody of my kids and I am so grateful.

Mr Onello charged 30k but simply did not do his job for the amount he charged. The divorce got dragged out much longer than it supposed to because Mr Onello wanted to charge maximum for the minimum work he did. At the end, I had to file my own forms because he was asking for more after I paid 30k. The case is listed as Cassel vs Cassel in Clark county so this is a legit one star review. Avoid at all cost.
One last point I want to make. Mr Onello spends more time removing one star reviews than actually working so I would assume all the 5 star reviews are not legit. Don't fall for false reviews like I did.

I highly recommend Marshal and all the legal staff at the Willick Law Group. I hired them to assist me in a complicated family matter and they were simply amazing in their handling of my case. I wish, I had hired them to handle my legal case initially, as I feel so doing, I would have likely saved money. I am not someone who writes reviews, however on this occasion have to say that Robert Kern is one ROCK SOLID Contact Law attorney. I was referred to Mr. Kern by my attorney who was relocating out of state and was unable to represent me / my case. Robert Kern went right to work, he actually cared about the Breach of Contract and money I lost. He was very generous with his time and handled all documentation and communications like a master chess player. He was available to answer my questions expertly and made sense of the legal system regarding my case, that I thought was extremely complex (I believe it is the former school teacher in him). I was both glad and fortunate to have Robert Kern by my side from start to finish - he definitely knows his stuff and as a result I got money! I highly recommend Mr. Kern for Contract Law.

Tara was my neighbor and when I got into a car accident, I hired her to represent me. She settled my case for the insurance policy limits within ten days from taking the case. After she got me the maximum possible amount, we received a "subrogation claim" from my own health insurance company which meant reimbursing out of my settlement for my hospital bills and medical treatment. Tara explained to me that fighting the subrogation claim would be a long shot but might be able to prevail,her exact words were, “well, it is a long shot, but let’s fight them!” She wrote a very strong letter to the health insurance provider, and in response to her letter, they waived their subrogation claim. I was so happy - Tara saved me money that would have otherwise gone out of my settlement check and I ended up getting the full policy limit! Although I was hurt and in a lot of pain after my accident, having Tara as my attorney gave me absolute peace of mind. I certainly felt like a winner in the end!
