Peter is an amazing attorney. He really is a miracle worker. Long story short I met with a bankruptcy attorney, Ralph Goldberg, to discuss my options for filing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. Without my permission or knowledge Mr. Goldberg filed chapter 7 bankruptcy which I had NOT authorized. Mr. Goldberg told me the filing could not be withdrawn. Peter was recommended to me by another attorney . I met with Peter & he agreed to take my case. He was able to get the false chapter 7 bankruptcy filing removed & undo the damage done by Mr. Goldberg. I highly recommend Peter.

Peter and his associate attorney assisted me through my Chapter 7 bankruptcy and represented me at the trustee meeting. Very efficient. Very timely and helpful with email communication. Price was half what some of the other attorneys are charging (which I suppose MIGHT be justified in very complex cases). Mine was fairly straightforward, but it was still a bankruptcy, so to not be saddled with MORE financial burden (of an over-priced attorney) was a big relief.

Lorena and her firm made everything so very easy. The entire process, from start to finish, always had either her or another member of her firm there to help make sure that everything was understood. Whenever there was a question, even during this time of social distancing, they were quick to respond the same day and often within the same hour! During the meeting with the trustee there was only one small stumbling block which was handled beautifully and corrected before the end of business that same day. Once the discharge was complete I was able to know immediately thanks to them contacting me to let me know even before the court sent me the documents. They even went so far as to help with resources and tips on how to rebuild my credit score after the discharge was complete and made sure to let me know how keep myself safe from temptations and scams related to people who've recently had a discharge. In a time that could have been stressful beyond belief, Lorena and her team made it a breeze!

As what some would consider being a 'high asset' client...my case was MUCH more difficult than most. I make that statement confidently due to the fact that I visited nothing short of 10 attorneys prior to moving forward with Howard's team. Thankfully I visited Howard late enough in my schedule of attorney interviews to KNOW what differentiates in terms of knowledge base, dependability and overall skillset.
Howard was thorough and obviously heads above. In my interviews I got 2 'yes' and 8 'no.' Howard knew what he was doing and got it done- for literally the SAME cost as the competition.

I came to Mr. Rothblooms office to seek counsel for a issue whereby a major furniture company that filed bancruptcy was seeking to claw back from me over $10,000 that I was paid for services rendered. Additionally, this very same company owed me money which I assumed I would never see again.
I was represented by an associate of this firm, Adam who gave me his full attention, instilled in me the confidence that he would represent me aggressively and professionally. His approach to my case seemed reasonable, effective and gave me a quite confidence that the outcome we be better than I hoped. Yes, the price was very reasonable as well -- a fraction of what the furniture company was seeking to claw back.
The outcome was better than I hoped. Adams preparation, approach and thoroughness won the day. We prevailed without having to pay back a penny to the furniture company. In fact, I finally did receive a check from the company that had filed bankruptcy. A win win outcome.

I have found Counselor Jakob-Barnes to be personable, professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and trustworthy.
Getting out of debt can be a scary, expensive, and arduous process, especially, when there is old charged off debt involved. Understanding that it would take time and looking to, ultimately, pay off every single old debt, I contacted Counselor Jakob-Barnes in order to understand my options and to represent my interests when dealing with collection firms. Removing the uncertainty and ambiguity associated with settling old debt, she fully explained both the process and my options; she never once tried to convince me of more expensive legal services. Counselor Jakob-Barnes prevented the escalation of a collection legal proceeding and negotiated with the collection firm to get me the requisite time needed to pay off the debt without going to court or enduring the garnishment of wages.
If you are trying to settle old, bad debt, my recommendation is to do some quality research, and I --highly--recommend that you hire Counselor Jakob-Barnes. We met with Ms. Jakob several months ago to discuss her representation in a lease dispute. She felt she could help us out to come to a fair settlement with our previous landlord. After reviewing our case, she contacted the landlord's attorney with an offer to settle, which was accepted, and much better than they had previously demanded. We have come to an agreement that is mutually acceptable with terms that are within out financial limits. We are very pleased with Ms. Jakob, and would definitely use her again. She made sure to update us regularly during negotiations, gave us advice on what we could request and ideas for an offer, and helped us every step of the way. I was looking for a lawyer who was honest and trustworthy, not someone who was out to screw the opposing side. We hired Attorney Brandon Hughes to help out with a landlord/tenant issue in 2021. The landlord violated several terms of the lease agreement and old us money. Brandon was able to listen to our concerns and provide great legal counsel. Brandon replied to all our emails. And handle the situation with the landlord quickly. The landlord was really difficult but Brandon stepped in and was always calm. And explain what was the best solution for us because the lease was a trap and the landlord was not honest.
