I filed chapter 13 and it started rocky but after meeting with Tina and Mr. Adams and the process being explained. I got a discharge paid in full from the court. After months of talking to bankruptcy attorneys and getting the door slammed in our face because we were above the median income, we almost gave up on finding a lawyer to help us file for bankruptcy. All the lawyers I spoke to did not care about our situation just saw our income. Then I came across Robert J Adams and Associates. We decided to give it one last shot. Robert and Tina Adams didn’t just look at our income, they listened to why we needed to file with all our medical expenses. Our son needs so much special medical care and our insurance does not cover a lot of it. We were drowning in medical bills and they took our case. Sadly in the state of Illinois drivers can have as little as 25000 insurance.
With over 250000 in hospital, rehab, physical therapy and other various doctors charges that 25000 doesn't go very far.

After my dad passed away in April 2024, my mom and I filed for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) through the VA. Despite working with a VA liaison and following up for 10 months, we received no real updates—just that the claim was still pending. Then, my mom received a notice from the VA, which she mistakenly believed was a denial of the DIC claim. Unfortunately, even the local VA liaison misinterpreted it, causing a lot of confusion. Given that my dad’s passing was clearly linked to his disability, we realized we needed legal representation and turned to James Comerford.
From our first conversation, James took the time to listen, understand our situation, and guide us through the process. Initially, we thought we needed to file a rebuttal, but after investigating, he discovered the VA had actually misinformed us—the claim was still being processed. He assured us he would follow up, and shortly after, he called with the great news: the claim had been approved. Not only did he get us answers, but he also knew exactly when my mom would receive her benefits, including back pay.
When I asked James what we owed him, he refused payment—he was simply happy my mom received what she deserved. Even after I insisted, he suggested we make a donation to a charity instead, which we did. His generosity, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients truly set him apart.

I worked with Keating Law offices and the attorney that helped me was Jack Dassow. I had searched a while for a law firm, and no one would take my case, but Jack and his team believed in me and was able to help me. I was able to get the most amount of settlement per the type of case. I was also able to get compensation for my Bike as well. Steven was great to work with. I had a crypto tax issue that Steven was able to review and resolve. I on my own would not have been able to navigate this issue with the IRS and State. My experience with Salvador is that of hope. Salvador was referred to my family and it honestly added hope to a situation for too difficult cope with. In 2015, my parents along with my sister, seemed to had been fighting a losing battle to save a home. Mr. Lopez did an outstanding job assisting me with the foreclosure sale of my home in Illinois although I lived in another state. He was very thorough explaining every step of the process. I especially appreciated the fact that the process was completed in 30 days. I communicated with him via phone and email. I was concerned about having to come back to Chicago for closing and that was not necessary which was a tremendous load off of me given my financial state at that time. CJ Lamb was outstanding with my representation. There were some challenges that were a result of the condo association not settling a civil suit that CJ navigated to keep the deal together and also went far and above in chasing down UPS trucks literally to obtain paperwork that was supposed to be delivered overnight but was not.
