I reached out to Michael Georg for a consultation regarding a credit card debt that turned into a lawsuit. He provided honest and clear advice on my options for proceeding. I usually don't write reviews, I either forget, or am not invested enough to take the time to write my experience, or feel that the review platform is just for hearing my own voice. HOWEVER, I feel it important, this time, to write a review of Atty. Payne. I found myself in financial "hot water" this year and felt that I was stuck in a situation that had no end. I initially consulted with Atty. Payne and after spending an hour of time with me, I had not only a "road map" to solving my problem, but an increase in my knowledge about debt and debt collections and the bankruptcy process. He listened and offered advice based on my own situation, NOT some cookie cutter solution like you see on TV at 2 am. I suddenly had a plan, and steps to take to get out from under crushing debt and a pretty horrible situation. Atty. Payne helped me understand the plan, the steps, my options and was incredibly skilled in advising me without forcing me into a situation I wasn't comfortable with.
If you're reading this review, you're likely in a similar situation and looking for an attorney to advise you. Take the step and hire Atty. Payne. You won't regret it. It's unfortunate I can't give Attorney Payne more than five stars because he deserves them. I interviewed four attorneys about a difficult situation; two highly respected in their field. They promised to guide me through a process. Attorney Payne offered a solution nobody else had suggested, and he didn't guide me through the process, he directed the process. He created a plan with contingencies for what might happen, explained clearly what he was doing and delivered the result he originally suggested. You will not be disappointed.

I have had the pleasure of working with Luke and his team for 2 really bad car accidents (9/2015 and 1/2016). When I first met Luke I appreciated that he listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions and did not give me the typical lawyer pitch on how he could help me get a large some of money. Instead Luke told me exactly what the process would look like, realistic timelines as to how long the process would take and even step by step directions on what I should do if I chose not to use a lawyer. Luke and his team have been very responsive to my emails regarding my cases. Based on my results from my first case I know that he goes over and beyond to make sure you are compensated fairly. Atty Kerr went above and beyond with my case. I originally had a lawyer that a friend recommended who managed to botch just about everything. I looked at AVVO and Better Business Bureau and decided to go with Miller and Miller (A+ rating) where Atty Kerr works.

Mr. Lococo met with us initially to better understand out situation. He was quiet most of the initial meeting, taking down information and details about our financial issues. Once he had a complete history of our problem, he said that he would get back to us with options and next steps if we wanted to move forward. At first, we weren't sure that he was the right attorney for us, but we now are so thankful that we chose to work with Mr. Lococo. Just a few days after our meeting, he called us in to go over our options. He had several choices laid out for us in great detail and presented them in a way that we could understand. He was reassuring, compassionate and made it clear that he would help us get through our bankruptcy so that we could move forward on more solid financial ground. During the process, whenever we had a question or worry, Joe (as we came to call him) was always available or would call us back that day. I had a lot of credit card debt, and I managed to pay every month, but I could never get ahead. When my income went down during the pandemic, I knew I was a hare's breath from having my debt overwhelm me. As a responsible person, I was embarrassed and scared about filing for bankruptcy. The decision to file was hard, but, with Kirk's help, actually filing was MUCH easier than I ever could have hoped. My initial contact was with another lawyer at his firm, but I was assigned to Kirk for my first meeting. He is calm, funny, non-judgmental, efficient and absolutely reassuring. From the first meeting where we discussed my financial situation, he made me feel I was making the right decision. He told me what was going to happen and what records I needed to provide. He always answered my questions quickly, and I know he did a LOT of work on his end to make my Chapter 7 bankruptcy happen. I really trust him - he's dedicated to providing good service and doing the job right. If you're considering bankruptcy to discharge debt, but you're scared of what it will take, talk to Kirk. Concern #1: Do these guys know what they are doing? I was impressed with their structured approach. This made me feel comfortable that nothing would be "missed." Their free video library helped me understand trusts / wills. The videos also showed their knowledge and professionalism.
Concern #2: What is their patience for answering questions? Trusts / Wills are new to me and it is easy for my mind to glaze over. This was not their first "rodeo." They answered / anticipated my questions until I felt I had enough understanding.
Concern #3: What happens if I have a life changing event or there are issues after I die? They set up a process to deal with these issues.
Why did I want to get a trust? I was the personal representative for two estates. Probate is a tedious, expensive and time consuming process. The money I spent to establish my trusts is significantly less than probate costs.
In a short period of time I was able to make sure my estate could be settled quickly and easily.

I picked her based on the reviews, but If I could redo this process, I certainly would and wouldn't choose this attorney for something this important and life-altering. She was evasive, not very informative, and since working with her, I am no more informed than I was prior to hiring Deborah. She rarely responds to correspondences too, even with the various modes of communication these days. There seemed to be a correlation between the timeliness of her responses versus getting payment. After receiving payment, she was difficult to make contact with. I regret hiring her for something so important.
