I consulted with Eric sometime last summer. He took his time. I never felt rushed as I went over scenarios that my life was facing at that time. He gave me his advice, and I hired him a few months later and his staff was great at the intake and the processing and communicating with me any need items.I always felt safe that I was taken care of and being looked after while my file was being handled through the federal bankruptcy court system. I received my discharge almost precisely as Eric had indicated from the very beginning, and I was more than pleased with with Erik as my attorney representing me in my bankruptcy case and his staff full support, always communicating and always had my back. Attorney Dorothy Bunce represented us in a Chapter 7 case. We are an older married couple, and we were so worried about losing everything we owned this late in life, and concerned about the bankruptcy proceedings. Dorothy removed all of that worry; she explained every step of the way, and she involved us in each important decision and allowed us to review each document before filing. She always returned a call or email promptly and personally. Instead of working with a paralegal, we worked directly with Ms. Bunce, who is clearly an expert debt resolution attorney. She helped us protect our assets to the maximum extent of the law, and it is quite obvious that she really knows this area of law inside and out.
When we had a problem with a difficult and harassing creditor, Ms. Bunce handled that situation professionally, firmly, and resolved the situation in a legal and crisp manner; we have never heard from that creditor again.
Ms. Bunce's fee was disclosed to us, in writing, before we hired her, and her bill was accurate to the penny.
After the conclusion of our case, Ms. Bunce provided us with a written guide booklet on rebuilding credit. Her steps to rebuilding credit were simple, but they worked. We now have no debt, ample credit lines, and decent credit scores. Having Dorothy Bunce representing us was the best decision we made.

Waste of time and money!
Not responding to calls or emails!
Took 6 months to file a SINGLE MOTION that used up the entirety of the retainer ($2500) and withdrew right away.
Took another 6 months to finally come up with a billing history that made absolutely NO sense.
Stay away at all costs!

I was in a huge bind and was 3 days away from losing my home due to a lease option contract gone wrong. I email Tish thru avvo.com on a Saturday afternoon on a Christmas holiday weekend and set an appointment for me to meet her first thing Monday morning, even though she was off for the holidays and she was also very sick. Michael’s clerk/secretary was very kind, friendly, and understanding. The soonest appointment they had for a consultation was several days away, but she told me she would ask him if he would make time and call me that day.
He did call while I was on the phone with the other attorney’s office, and I missed the call. I called Michael’s office back, and both he and his secretary were still kind and willing.
Michael and his secretary/clerk were both warm, friendly, willing to listen and answer questions without interrupting. The other attorney’s office I consulted (Patrick King in Carson City) had a helpful and willing clerk, but she interrupted and spoke over me a lot. The speed she discussed the issues with made it difficult to take notes, but Michael Millward was very understanding of waiting while I wrote down what he said to later share with my husband. He also spoke with me directly for the consultation instead of a clerk.
My mother-in-law passed away intestate (without a will) over the weekend and my sister-in-law’s family didn’t understand how probate works and were already going through our mother’s belongings and throwing them away. They had no intention of filing for probate and didn’t understand that it isn’t optional and is legally required.
We all planned on needing to empty out the mobile home and possibly make repairs and renovations. We didn’t know what creditors Mom had or what assets. We knew she had a lot of medical bills and a small car loan. We were looking at having to do a *massive* amount of work, and it was very stressful.
Since Mom’s estate likely would have more liabilities than assets, Michael informed me that we don’t have to do the probate process and don’t have to administer the estate ourselves.
We can hand this over to the Carson City Public Administrator who handles estates for individuals with no will. Michael looked up the phone number after I asked for it. Phone number: 775-887-2260. Michael informed me that it might be the clerk’s office that answers because it appears that they share a division or office space; if so, ask for the administrator.
Michael, said to tell the administrator that a family member died, the cremation is handled, and no one in the family is interested in administering the estate.
That’s basically it.
There’s probably paperwork to sign, but we don’t have to do all the hard work we were planning on.
Again, we don’t have to clean out her house, dump her belongings, pay her rent, sell her house, or pay her bills. We don’t have to do anything beyond the cremation.
We *can* get photos and heirlooms, too, before handing it over.
Isn’t that wonderful??
I received a free consultation. I told Michael that I would gladly pay him for his time for the extremely helpful advice, but he said it wasn’t necessary. He also welcomed me to call back if I had any other questions.
Months ago we consulted a different estate/elder law attorney regarding my mother-in-law, Ernie Adler, and he was awful. He was disinterested, unhelpful, wasn’t friendly, answered our questions to a minimum or not at all, couldn’t answer some of them (said he didn’t know), and charged $200 for the brief consultation (less than 30 minutes).
Michael Millward was the stark and complete opposite. We highly recommend him!

Aaron helped me to gain ownership of my home after the seller of my house tried to dispute the transaction 4 years later! Apparently, we did not prepare the paperwork right, but Aaron won our lawsuit!
I decided to sell the property and Aaron got me a check for $60,000! He did not charge me a dime. Aaron is a great attorney and I cannot recommend him more.

Like many in Las Vegas I was one of those who had bought a house at the wrong the time - 10 years ago! My house was so upside down and I had invested SO MUCH in it, it was hard just 'letting go' like many would tell me to do. One other lawyer I saw, asked me "What are you attached too? are you attached to stucco?! Just do a bankruptcy and start over" but I just couldn't accept the letting go of my home. Like many others, I tried doing loan modifications. Year after year with all the wrong people. I would wait so long to even be able to talk them about my process and at the end their offer would never benefit me in the long term - all i was doing was buying time. Eventually I got to a place where my house was going to be sold within a couple months. That letter really wrecked me.
That's when I found these guys. They were my last resort. I only found them right at the end and I probably had 30 days left before I would lose my home. At the time I sat down with Sean and he evaluated my situation. He was upfront about my options, and while doing so, he spoke and typed numbers in his calculator... while taking notes on paper and checking a million other things in his computer.. doing it all so fast.. his language was mostly 'numbers', and I was like "Who is this guy?!..." well this guy (together with their whole team) was right about everything he told me. The whole team working collectively, saved my home. And I got approved for a good loan modification. I was pretty happy and couldn't believe I still had that home. A couple of years later other loan mod programs came up and I thought, well, maybe I can try those. Once again we sat down and spoke numbers and facts and I said "I want to try again" Sean was a bit skeptical this time, he thought I already had a good loan (and I did) but my gut said "try again" and that's what we did. I not only got approved for a GREAT loan-mod, I was also one of the few, that got approved for a principal reduction. My loan was cut in half, and the new loan-mod reflected that change.
After all was done, I waited a year and I decided I wanted to settle my second mortgage. Well, guess who helped again and were extremely effective at it! I was then done with all!! :)
I referred them to everyone I knew that had a house and was going through similar situation. My friends did go to them and they also got approved for better loan modifications then what they had. I have no doubts in my mind (speaking from experience) that the Vohwinkel & Associates, are the best team in Las Vegas, when it comes to handling a bankruptcy or real state law.. they just have so much experience from doing it, year and after year. Go to the best, don't waste your time with the unexperienced!

This process was amazing. My husband and I were in over 50,000 of debt and it was making it to where we just couldn't make ends meet anymore. We were doing just fine until the recent economy crisis (thanks Biden and Harris) but then, when the prices of everything went through the roof, we ended up having to use our cards for everything. In the end, we lost our home and ended up staying with family because the debt was just too high and the landlord wanted up our rent 700 a month with our new lease so we had to move. From the second that I called fair fee, I felt like I was finally starting to see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel. It took about 4-5 months from start to finish, but that was OK because we knew that it was going to be worth it. We just got discharged today and feel like we can finally breathe again. Thank you fair fee for helping us when we really felt that we had no way out. Now we'll be able to make better choices to avoid this problem again in the future!!
