I hired Adam because my insurance company, which was the same company that insured the party responsible for the flooding of my condominium, refused to pay for damages. I hired Mr. Ferry in a collection matter about a year ago and although the outcome was not as I would have liked due to circumstances outside his control, I was impressed from day one with Mr. Ferry's approach and professionalism. He had a clear sense of the steps that needed to be taken in my case, identified potential pitfalls, outlined cost implications for continued litigation outside his area of expertise, and proved to be a strong sounding board when deciding whether to continue pursuing the case. He was instrumental in identifying another attorney outside his own firm with expertise in the area that I needed, continued to work with this attorney following, and made me feel perfectly comfortable conferring with him when things became confusing or I felt as though focus was being lost on my core objectives. I retained Joseph over an eight-month period to handle the litigation on a reverse triangular stock valuation. I found Joseph to be very legally competent, attentive, and sensitive to my budget needs. It was a highly emotional and frustrating experience but Joseph navigated us through all of the legal issues and we obtained the best settlement that was legally possible. I think that Joseph was diplomatically candid about the legal merits of our case and was careful to let me know what our real chances were for success from the beginning so that I did not pursue any unwise strategies. He did not sugarcoat the issues but I always found him to be optimistic in pursuing the best outcome for our interest. I found him to be very careful to control the legal expenses that we would incur, which I very much appreciated. I also think that he was good at just listening to my occasional venting as I ran into repeated frustrations caused by the legal complications of our case. I would highly recommend him for corporate litigation matters.

We were the plaintiffs against a very deep-pocketed set of VC firms (these would be household names among the tech community), who we alleged misappropriated funds when a technology company we co-founded was sold. Joe was referred to us and upon mutual consideration agreed to take the case on contingency. The case took a couple of years to wind through the legal system given the behavior of the defendants. We eventually obtained a favorable (mediated) settlement. He earned his keep, never lost his composure, worked through challenging legal and business matters, and was not put off by technical issues (though these were few). I would work with Joe again if ever in that unfortunate situation. But I would never start a company with those VC firms again.

I really like Carl, both personally and professionally. He understands the legal process and the impact it has on litigants. In that regard, his clients are well prepared for court appearances and the challenges the opposing party's counsel will present. Carl has sufficient family law litigation experience to do a risk-benefit analysis prior to litigation/settlement. His projections, based on my experience, were generally accurate. Carl was able to negotiate a generous settlement on my behalf. I would highly recommend him to anyone with an actionable issue in Family Court.

I rely on Carl Heckert, for my legal counsel, he earned my trust initially by handling my divorce, property settlement, and child custody proceedings. It was very tough time transitioning into the world of being a divorced, single, working mother of two young children. So, having such an excellent attorney saved me time, money, and the stress of navigating the judicial system completely unaware and extremely afraid. Looking back, I honestly don’t know how I would have made it without Carl looking out for our best interests. We have used Bonnie Benson two times in the past 5 years and are using her again for real estate transactions. Just average folks, we want the biggest bang for our buck, an honest attorney and one that keeps us up to date and will pull no punches if the seller is wrong. March 05, 2016 was a day I will never forget. I was a passenger in our family car, when suddenly we were hit by another car. It wasn't long I realized I would need legal help. I researched Attorneys, and called a few. When I called Mr. Carey's law firm, I liked that they put the client first, Miss Carla told me that they would have to check to make sure that there was no conflict of interest with any of their other clients....Wow. I received a call back late that afternoon informing me that they could set up the consultation with Mr. Carey. Our consultation went well and Mr. Carey made me feel at ease. He walked me through everything from beginning to end, I signed the paperwork and Blake Carey was now representing me. I was thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and mannerisms. As time went on and surgery passed, then recovery, Blake kept in touch, giving status reports as well as showing a genuine interest in my well being. Almost fourteen months later we reached a settlement that was fair and equitable to my family and me. Many times I became frustrated and angry and Blake would calmly talk me through those times. I would whole heartedly recommend Blake Carey for any of your legal needs.
