I and my mom consulted Mr. Head for assistance with an estate concern that included the complexities of multiple properties in multiple states, a decedent's (father's) potential probate, and living trusts that were complicated by socio-generational issues related to 1st generation Americans.
Though VERY late in offering this endorsement, I want to share that he was a consummate professional, was highly knowledgeable, kind, empathetic, and had the insight to recognize what might need the assistance of other expertise outside of his wheelhouse. I found his character and engagement to be of the highest order and I can't thank him or highly recommend him enough. I contacted David Soble for advice regarding a legal matter and he was both responsive (calling me back after hours) and helpful. As it turned out, I didn't require his services, but he contacted me for a follow up call to make sure that my legal issue had been resolved and offered to help should I need his services in the future. Gary has been a tremendous help to our investment group in the LLC setup and structure. He has also been an used as an advisor in our Public Accounting Firm and assisted us in Partnership Tax Law/Compliance/Tax Return preparation. He has a very strong skill set relative to Partnership/LLC Taxation in planning and structure. Gary has the ability to to apply the Tax Law to practice/application and not just theory, this is not common for many attorneys we have worked with.

I heard about Leen through a trusted colleague. To start, I am so thankful to have found Leen. If you are looking for a physician contract lawyer you can trust, who is knowledgeable, thorough, and timely, then that is Leen. For context I am a dermatology resident and needed assistance with two contracts that I was between: 1) large hospital system contract and 2) individual contract joining a solo practice owner with potential for partnership.
I got the basic review for the large hospital contract and more in depth package for the solo practice. I had a very short time window to have the contracts reviewed and completed. Despite her busy schedule, she really prioritized me and my situation. I was also looking at other “highly recommended” physician contract lawyers from white coat investor but ultimately decided to go with Leen who I felt would be able to give me personalized care based on our initial consultations. I self negotiated a lot of my contract, so I can’t speak on her ability to negotiate on your behalf but she did give me helpful tips and always made sure I truly understood my contract. I ultimately signed with the solo practice. I will be recommending Leen to my colleagues who are need of a great physician contract lawyer!

Joe Lavigne is an exceptional attorney and an even better human being. He's extremely compassionate, uber-responsive and highly intelligent. He is even a resource for the police community and trains officers on the utilization and dynamics of the DataMaster Breathalyzer.
My OWI was high profile and involved an accident. I needed the best representation possible. I thought I did my homework interviewing more than 6 locally based attorneys, because I felt that was necessary given the accident and the "homer" culture of the community. I hired someone who advertises a ton and claims to be the best. The reviews looked good. But his arrogance and lack of compassion showed through after I paid him, so I moved on. Then, I hired another attorney who was recommended due to his connections to the judges. I thought that was extremely important, so I hired and paid him too. This guy, however, was consistently unresponsive. He even put in a substitute attorney for a video hearing! But then I learned about Joe and hired him, despite feeling backed into a corner because of the locality. I made a lot of mistakes in this process but one thing is clear:
It does not matter where you are in Michigan, local representation does not matter. It can actually even hurt you, since some attorneys put themselves and their community relationships first. You need someone who is smart, thorough, responsive, compassionate and gets the job done. Understanding of the law is what matters! Joe Lavigne is all of that and more. He delivers results!

The best decision I ever made was hiring Joe Lavigne. His negotiation skills are unmatched and he is extremely professional and courteous with all parties when it comes to handling matters in a case. Joe managed to take a felony case punishable by a minimum of 25 years in prison down to a lesser charge with a 6 month probation period with dismissal of all charges upon completion of probation. He does not push you to make any decision you do not want to make, but will give you all of the facts and perspectives so that you can make a fully educated decision on where to take the case. You can tell he truly cares for his clients and is committed to doing whatever needs to be done to get a favorable outcome. Every time I met with Joe or was with him in court I always felt calm and collected knowing he was by my side during this trying ordeal. Hire this man. You will NOT regret it.

I had to file a fraud /seller non-disclosure lawsuit last summer. After speaking with five attorneys and listened to their individual assessment, I knew Dominic was the right guy to take on the case. It was not an easy lawsuit, but Dominic successfully obtained a settlement for me, and I was happy with the result.

An IRS Criminal Investigator came snooping around my house and began asking me a lot of alarming questions. The investigator had a badge and a gun! Basically he was not welcomed into my house. The Tax Attorneys at 1-800-LAW-FIRM calmed me down. The tax attorneys told me that an IRS criminal investigator investigates tax crimes and helps prosecute tax crimes. I was very disturbed by the IRS coming to my house. I thought I might be able to talk myself out of the problem but the tax attorneys told me this was a bad idea. The Attorneys talked to the Investigator and after some negotiation the problem went away. That’s all I can really say about this but the Attorneys did a good job and I did not go to jail.

IRS sent me letters saying I had to pay them back for a big tax refund I got. I was shocked because I did not get any type of refund. I could not figure out what was going on and I was scared. So I started calling some people to figure out what to do. My CPA referred me to Federal Tax Defense at 1-800-LAW-FIRM – I had about a 20 minute conversation with one of the Tax guru’s over there who totally knew what I was going thru. I completed the paperwork and they called the IRS for me and explained what was going on. It seemed fairly easy to them but very complicated to me. The Tax Defense team got the IRS to begin an investigation on my case and all the crazy letters stopped. Now I am able to move forward because the identity theft defense was granted by the IRS – my Lawyers won. I’m glad I retained a Tax Defense team who knew what they were doing. I made a good decision and their customer service was very good. Thank you.

I came to Elizabeth 3 years ago with a pile of paperwork, a lot of stories and a drug addict mother of my son.
After looking through my very unorganized evidence of what’s been going on for a few years, she explained to me that I have a case. She said with honesty that this is a very “different” case considering the drugs, alcohol, mental instability, etc and being able to prove all of this.
She admitted that this kind of case is more rare than others but she would study all areas of everything going on in my case and represent me to the best of her ability.
Now fast forward 3 years, tons of court dates in front of our referee and judge, a 2 day trial and even more court dates in front of our judge, post trial. I now have full custody of my son. He is out of harms way and is the happiest he’s ever been.
Elizabeth went above and beyond. She accepted all my calls, she called me regarding issues and has fully been just as involved in every aspect of this case as I have been (which is ALOT). She has completly took it upon herself to further her education regarding the very “different” aspects of my case such as drugs, how the mom is beating drug tests while still being high, different affects from different drugs and alcohol, getting medical records showing the mental instability and much much more. NOT TO MENTION, I AM A DAD. We all know courts can be a little biased towards fathers.
Thanks to Elizabeth Silverman, my son is safe and happy. It’s been a extremely long road but Elizabeth has been here for me every step of the way. Not only as my lawyer but as my advisor and even sometimes my therapist. All while seeming like a good friend.
I would also like to add, Elizabeth only hires the best Paralegals there is in the state of Michigan. I could not write this post without saying how great they all are but especially Gina. Gina has been here for me for so much and was always just a call away to talk me through my troubles and help with anything I needed.

Dear Elizabeth,
It was my pleasure to have you as my lawyer and my counselor during my divorce trial. Having some ideas that divorce is very painful procedure, yet I could not even imagine that a person whom I considered my best friend and the most closed person (my ex-wife) turned into the bitterest enemy.
Your professionalism, your excellent knowledge of judicial system helped me tremendously during the divorce trial. What impressed me, that you pay your attention to big issues, as well as to little or even tiny problems. It is your big role in Macomb County Court’s decision to award me not only with joint legal custody, but also with joint physical custody. (Later I found out that it is not often for men in Michigan to be awarded with joint physical custody.)
Based on my experience, I can advise to person who is going to get divorce, try to avoid it. If there is no way to avoid divorce, then talk to your spouse, try to solve problem peacefully.
But if it doesn’t work, I really can recommend person, who is facing divorce, use service of my lawyer Elizabeth Silverman. Elizabeth will do her best to get the very satisfactory (at least) results for her client.

Evan Chall worked on my case diligently and with determination for over a year on a difficult case. Ed Plato represented me for getting back 2600 dollars on water bill which the City where I have rental property was trying to collect from me. The meter was running backwards and therefore my renter was not being charged for the water consumption. The city did not detect the error for over an year and then using some complex mathematics tried to collect the money from me. Ed found negligence on part of the city to not detect what was happening through their meter readers and the city, who had collected the money from me in advance via using threat of cutting the water altogether, had to pay me back the entire sum.
It was very gratifying to see Ed beat the city.
