In June of 2020, I was entering a grocery store and slipped in a puddle of water on the floor and broke my ankle. I was on vacation from California and did not know any Attorneys. A friend suggested George MacKoul in Hyannis. George had practiced in California and was very knowledgeable in both California and Massachusetts law.
George really helped me with ideas to assist him in preparing my case. One suggestion was keeping a daily diary. The case took 2 years to close. George negotiated a very good settlement. He and his Assistant, Diane, made our long-distance communication and document filing seamless.

I hired George to represent me in a dispute I had with a boat yard. The boatyard failed to properly winterize my boat causing damage to the engines, and the cabin. The boatyards insurance company tried to offer me a small amount of money, but once I had George on the case things changed rapidly. I ended up getting the compensation I was asking for from the insurance company, and they had to dispose of the boat themselves. I can't say enough about George and how he efficiently worked through this dispute for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need.

After being involved in a serious rear-end car accident caused by a negligent driver, I found myself in serious pain & overwhelmed. I had to deal with insurance companies trying to minimize their payout and healthcare providers who weren't guiding me toward the best recovery plan and were making billing errors beyond my understanding. Realizing I needed help, I asked a couple of very knowledgeable attorney friends for recommendations on the best personal injury lawyers on Cape Cod.
Attorney Peter Goldberg's name came up multiple times.
The first attorney I contacted had the most ratings online, but he opted for an initial phone consultation instead of an in-person meeting. He mentioned handling the most personal injury cases on the Cape and would assign an associate to work with me. My impression was that I was just a number to him, and when I reread his reviews, it seemed I wasn’t alone in feeling this way.
The second attorney I reached out to was well-credentialed and came with strong professional recommendations. However, it was clear from his reviews that personal injury cases were only a small portion of his practice. I wanted someone who primarily specialized in personal injury law.
