I was involved in an accident on the job and sustained major injuries to both my neck and back that required me to go through a major surgery which put me out of work for almost 3 years.
I hired John Roy, who has followed his fathers successful footsteps in becoming an honest, and noteworthy attorney in the Lafayette area, and his wonderful team of law professionals for the MVA side and Remy Jardell, a newer and much appreciated, bright, and talented addition to the Domengeaux Wright Roy & Edwards law firm for the workman’s comp side of the case.
I felt very well taken care of right out the gate, from the first day I walked in their building to give my statement, all the way up to the day I cashed my hefty settlement check. (that was 5x more than I had ever imagined I’d end up with).
I had another co-worker in the passenger seat with me during the accident who sustained major injuries also, requiring him to have surgery as well, however, he chose to hire a different attorney and unfortunately did not get the compensation he deserved. He actually got downright screwed during his experience and throughout the course of the case (pretty much the same case) and ended up almost empty handed in the end, even after I warned him of the incompetence and selfishness his attorney presented. I believe if he were to have listened to me and he had hired Mr. Roy and Mr. Jardell, his life would be much more comfortable today,! (to say the least)
Both John Roy and Remi Jardell were very professional, honest, with no bs, and very knowledgeable attorneys, who both, I would hire again in a heartbeat. It didn’t matter what the situation or what time of day, they were both there for me (even answering their personal cell phones 24/7) with answers, not bullshit, and I would recommend either one to anyone who deserves justice and a fat settlement!

Rachel D- James Domengeaux Jr. handled my auto collision claim and did an excellent job. He was very easy to work with and dealt with the difficulties of the accident with patience and compassion. I did not have to worry about how I would have to deal with the insurance paperwork and dealing with agents. It was a pleasant experience working with him.

I never thought that I would ever have to hire an attorney, but accidents do happen. I was referred to the firm Broussard and David, specifically Blake David by a friend of mine. The injuries that I sustained in this freak accident were serious making my recovery very difficult and life long. Because of the nature of my accident, it was difficult and complicated case. I needed an attorney like Blake David. He is an experienced attorney that worked hard and fought for me. Blake fought and made sure that I received a fair settlement. Three years later, I was in an automobile accident. I was rear ended by a driver from a delivery company. I didn’t hesitate to contact Blake David again. You see, I have complete trust in Blake, and his firm. I knew that they would handle my legal needs for the second accident. My injuries were again significant. Things get really complicated once you’ve had a couple of accidents but, I can always count on Blake, his firm and his staff. I have known Bill and worked with him for approximately 25 years. I first met him because he handled my father in laws legal business and I was named as a co trustee with my wife in his will. As time went on we starting using Bill in our family business of which I was President.
I also had dealings will with Bill informally on State University matters as I served on its Board of Supervisors and Its Chairman.
Bill handles our family personal legal business and started a Family LLC for us several years ago. We also have had several companies we started with Bill serving as our advisor.
In 2009 we sold our main family business with Bill serving as our attorney in the $125,000,000 deal. His advice helped us to get much more than we expected out of the sale and has kept us out of legal hassles since the sale.
Bill has recently served as my advisor for the purchase and valuation of $1,000,000 in the stock of a privately held company preparing for an IPO. Again his keen insight has been of great assistance.
Just today I called him on a new venture my son and I are buying into on June 30. We need operating agreements, services agreements and legal advice complete by June 30. We have to have $3,500,000 loan finalized. He is heading on vacation but we will meet Monday before he leaves and he will take our file with him. That is the kind of guy he is, always looking to do what needs to be done to help his client.
I am proud to not only have Bill as my attorney but to call him a true friend.
