Sam Mansoor represented the interests of us co-executors in a Fairfax County Civil Court trial regarding a dispute over interpretation of a Will with respect to the distribution of assets from the sale of my step-mother's house. When what should have been an uncomplicated divorce turned into a three ringed circus, I was very fortunate to have Alan Bowden as my council. From the onset he was caring, kind, upfront, plain spoken yet obviously very intelligent. There was never a moment I doubted his strategy or advice. During the court hearings he was very well prepared, professional, articulate and to the point, unlike the paper shuffling, mumbling and redundant questions from the opposition. Alan kept it simple, no mud slinging and classy. On top of Alan's apparent love for the law, justice and giving his client 100% , he is also a very nice guy and a pleasure to be around, even in difficult circumstances. I couldn't offer a higher recommendation!

In 2020, I was facing a Suspension and Debarment Case. The new was disheartening since I have had a successful military and contracting career with the Department of Defense and experience as enlisted within U.S. Navy, along with a history of winning awards and building a reputation of helping my local community. I relocated to work for a very large defense contractor, and I saw a lot of fraud and waste. I reported the incidents to Human Resources before I left the job, and I was placed on a PIP. My worker told me you will be punished for going to Human Resources, prior to reporting the incidents, the daily harassment and casual death threats in conversation that co-workers casually mentioned in front of management. I had a successful career at this defense contractor until I started alerting management and human resources about mis-mangement of funds and hardware and system use, and the dangerous comments made by coworkers. To my surprise Human Resources and my management were friends with each other, which led to backlash and retaliation about my terms of employment and false accusations waged towards me. I completed the terms of my employment, and I quit. One year later, the large defense contractor was working towards a proposed Suspension and Debarment notice stating I was a danger to the government. I searched many days for a lawyer, and I read about Ellis Bennett. He was nothing short of an angel, life saver, and career saver. I told him my story, and I provided him artifacts including the experience at the large defense contractor, and dates and times of my activities and projects completed there, along with the synopsis of the toxic environment; he took the time to listen and work with me, and I worked to help him with all the artifacts I kept of my daily experience on the job. It made a stressful and highly emotional time for me, easier to deal with me. Working with Ellis and his team made me feel as though I was his only client; he was efficient with his responses and always took the time to answer my questions. He worked and put together an amazing and beautifully written rebuttal package that showed who I am as a professional. I am forever grateful because through his response, my case was dismissed by the US Navy Suspension and Debarment office. I can continue in peace happily with me new career. I hope no one has to go through my experience, however, if you find yourself in this situation, Ellis is worth the time, money and caring and compassion, and he truly is a straight shooter, very honest. Thank you Ellis for saving my reputation and career, from a toxic environment.

Mr. Shin spent quite a bit of time discussing a resolution for a personal issue. He very clearly stated my options in understandable terms. My husband and I, as we enter our retirement years, retained Magner Law for an advanced planning and estate planning engagement. Unfortunately, we were very unhappy with the quality of the work product -- particularly the inattention to detail. We anticipated receiving Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, a Trust, and other products, that would provide us comfort and assurance regarding our healthcare and financial wishes. Instead, we were unable to use the products provided by Magner Law and must now contemplate hiring new counsel, and incur an additional expense, to meet our needs.

We had a great experience working with Mr. McClafferty. Mr. McClafferty got into every little detail of our case, and presented the matter in a truly professional way. We were appealing several violation notices that our HOA’s Architectural Committee sent us regarding our property. One notice was actually directly violating our rights as the residents of our Community. The second one was at the discretion of ARC whether or not to rule in our favor. Mr. McClafferty submitted a letter of appeal on our behalf to the Board. The letter was extremely well-written and presented both cases to the Board beautifully! We won both cases we were appealing for. Mr. McClafferty is a true professional and a very caring person to work with. We highly recommend him!

The other party was not understanding or sympathetic at all that my family went through a very long and tough time with identity theft which lead us to this case. I just won a tough trial. I never expected I would see this kind of devoted lawyer on earth. I could not remember details in my case sometimes but he never missed any events, dates and words. He did so concentrate on the trial, it looked like he forgot about outside world. I really appreciate his professional commitment. Mr. Grossman wrote a trust to cover my own needs and a second Supplemental Needs Trust for the care of a family member. I knew very little about trusts in general and nothing at all about Supplemental Needs Trusts. He explained both to me in careful detail so that I know that my estate will be used as I intend. During the process there were several major changes in my family which necessitated multiple revisions of the Trust. He helped me look at the various ways to construct the trust so that I could make well informed decisions. He provided witnesses and a notary for the signing of both trusts. A few weeks after my trust was completed I realized that I had made a mistake in some information that I had provided. It required a rewrite of one of the trusts and another witnessed signing and notarization. Again, he provided all persons required for this process. He is a very pleasant person who made a complex process easy and comprehensible. I can recommend him without reservation.

Mr. Grossman was hired to assist my family with trust and estate planning. When we were presented with the documents, neither of the witnesses information was correct. We had provided him this information on several instances, per his request, and we were extremely frustrated to find none of the information had been updated given we planned this meeting with out of town family specifically for this purpose. When asked about the incorrect information, he refused to acknowledge his error and was unapologetic. His competence is questionable at best and his arrogance is unparalleled—I would not recommend him to anyone as it was a complete waste of time and money.
