I've worked with multiple attorneys who have handled different matters for me and by far John has gone above and beyond in his representation. I hired him for several real estate transactions and also a Will preparation. I am beyond grateful to have done so. He is incredibly efficient, intelligent and experienced. He has the ability to maneuver through complicated real estate transactions with ease while protecting my interests and maintaining fair dealings for all. At the recommendation of my real estate agent, I contacted Allison and, after speaking with her, I immediately hired her. I was in the process of buying my first coop apartment, and I was overwhelmed by everything it entailed. Allison was extremely knowledgeable about dealing with coops, and explained everything to me along the way so I would know what to expect. She was always available to take my call, or called me back after I left a message. Allison was very patient with me when my anxiety level got the better of me at times. Dealing with a coop purchase, as I came to learn, can be a very tedious, time consuming and, at times, frustrating process. Allison spent a great deal of time going over all the coop records she needed to review as part of her responsibilities as my lawyer. She was aware of the fact that I was very eager to move out of my previous apartment, and advocated for things to move along as quickly as possible. I always felt that Allison was doing everything within her power to be an advocate for me. This was especially true when Allison coordinated with all the parties involved so the closing date could be scheduled as soon as possible. In all of my contacts with Allison, she was professional, courteous and patient. I found her lawyer fees were very reasonable, especially considering all of the services that she provided. Demetri recently represented me in a wrongful termination dispute with a former employer, a global bank with over 200,000 employees and a Human Resources Department with a large legal team. It was a complex matter involving standards of conduct, false allegations and ongoing slander, flawed advice from an internal HR Help Line, a gender-biased and superficial investigation by the employer, and an unusual fact pattern.
I had briefly retained one of the most highly-acclaimed employment attorneys in NYC, and had had an appalling experience. Then I engaged Demetri.
That Demetri listened carefully and sympathetically from the outset provided my first glimmer of hope. That he thoughtfully brought together the various legal threads of the case into a compelling argument evened the playing field. And his patience and persistence, and years of experience in this area, ultimately resulted in my former employer agreeing to a Separation Agreement largely on my terms and paying an award that was almost 800% higher than they had initially budgeted for this matter.
Demetri is a consummate professional — skilled, accessible, responsive, compassionate — and is truly a David vs the Goliath of large Wall Street firms. I was very glad to have him on my side.

We retained Mr. Lacher for a real estate transaction in New York State. He was referred by the large real estate office that was working on our transaction, and is supremely knowledgeable regarding real estate, particularly in Westchester County, NY.
Mr. Lacher has years of experience, and enjoys sharing it. We did not feel he was a "clock watcher", as he gave thorough, well - experienced advice in detail, and answered questions thoroughly. He was responsive via email, text message, and telephone calls, returning calls on weekends, while he was on vacation, and well past business hours (upon my request) at times in need.
He was emotionally supportive too, sharing personal experiences, and other niceties that provided life perspective; something which we did not know we needed, but welcomed once received!
Finally, his flat fee was slightly more than other real estate attorneys, but only by 20%, but if we were to calculate his actual billable time, we would have had to pay around double his rate. If there was one critique I would give to Mr. Lacher, is to avoid jumping to conclusions. There was a minor incident when he did, but the limitations that I presented were not my own; they were from a financial institution, so it was not me being a difficult client...at least not that time. All in all, he apologized, and we moved on to other work together, and hopefully many more future and successful transactions. I recommend Mr. Lacher.
