Anthony was instrumental in resolving my incredibly high Allegheny County Property Reassessment. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Allegheny County property assessment appeals process, which made my life so much easier. My property had almost doubled in value and thanks to Anthony’s diligence and attention to detail, my property was revalued at a very reasonable number. He is a consummate professional and very service-oriented. You could not ask for a better attorney if you have a problem with property reassessments. My divorce was starting to look much different than what I thought my ex-wife and I had amicably agreed upon. She hired a lawyer and never told me about it, then did a complete 180 on me and basically wanted everything but the shirt off my back. Because we have children, I wanted things to be as least messy as possible. During my time with Attorney Kunka, we came to discover that she actually had monthly income of which I was not aware, in addition to a trust that she had never mentioned before in our fourteen years together. Needless to say, Mr. Kunka impeccably argued my case and we came to a very fair agreement. Situations like these are not fun, so it was great to know Ellis had my back and answers to my questions from the time we began working together. For someone who is independently wealthy and stood to lose everything, Mr. Kunka saved me and my relationship with my kids. Thanks, Ellis!

Watching Christine practice law is like watching a fish practice swimming.
Christine is pleasant, personable, and awesome to deal with. She is attentive, analytical, and shrewd. I would not want to be the opposing counsel.
I tried calling two billboard firms, but no dice. I needed to talk with somebody who could pick up on the nuances of my case. Christine was that person.
I left a run-on voicemail at 4pm on a Friday, and received a call back within an hour.
We exchanged about 500 emails, and if I had to guess, I sent them at a ratio of 3:1, at all hours of day/night, often ranting and going off on tangents, but still communicating valuable information. Christine always got back to me.
I would recommend Christine to anyone.

I bet you never thought "decent human being" and lawyer could reside in the same person, but JPI seems to have found them!
I temped for them as a legal assistant in early 1998. I wasn't a regular employee or a client (well, we'll get to that), yet I was always treated like I was one of the gang. I was included in their Friday night outings after work, and spoken to like an equal. Mr. Pass, for being a name partner, is so down-to-earth - I've worked in D.C. law firms with junior associates who treated me with less respect - and I had more seniority than them!
Despite working hard, I had a big drop in income from what I had been used to and needed, so JPI helped me file for bankruptcy and even represented me - and they didn't ask for a dime over the filing fees. All Mr. Pass wanted was to see me get to a better place in life. We stayed in touch as I left Pennsylvania to make that happen.
Nearly 25 years later, as I write this, I can still call and ask his advice and chat with him, if he's not busy. How many people do you meet in a lifetime who are genuinely good people, who are good at what they do? How many of those people are lawyers? I mean, I can tell stories about lawyers I've worked with and how mercenary they are even in their private lives. The profession seems to attract that type. The law firm of JPI turns the idea of the stereotypical lawyer on its head. They're good people out to do good. It's like they never lost the idealism that drove them to go to law school. This should be the ideal boutique law firm.

Cant say enough good things about this firm. They kept us informed about our case some of case is still ongoing but the workmans comp part is settled. After the lose of my father in a tractor trailer accident and being a only child so the brunt of keeping it together for my poor mother along with some help of friends and family it has been a upward climb plus dealing with the company my dad worked for at first i just didn't know what was going to happen to everything my dad worked for for 45 years and what was my mom going to do i didn't want her to have to sell the house or anything aspeciely when it wasn't his fault. Our attorney traveled back and forth between Pittsburgh and dubois pa to make it easier on my mom he made her so at ease and even did court threw zoom, we never had to leave our house. Its not over theres still things to figure out but mom will be taken care of and dads legacy will live on thak you Rhett for all your help i can't say enough to show my gratitude .

I reached out to Amy for a consultation regarding my deceased brother’s estate/trust, and the problems we were facing while dealing with the estate attorney and financial advisers. She offered excellent advice, but because the estate is held in Ohio, we were not able to actually hire Amy, unfortunately. She did, however, get us put on the right path, and we are using the advice to the best of our abilities.

Ours was an extremely high end, complicated medical case against a powerful institution. Regrettably we'd known litigation before and worked with other good lawyers. I hired Jim Lieber a number of years ago in regard to an education work-place discrimination matter that touched on any number of intricate points tied to the school’s standards/politics/contracts/personalities. Jim proved masterful at bringing justice to the situation. He was able to air the details that proved greatly (and appropriately) embarrassing to the opposing side while couching all such information within the proper legal/contractual framework to maximize the effectiveness of the complaints I was raising before all the right authorities. I worked with Goldsmith & Ogrodowski, LLC. for a few years. Even after a few years, I had to go check and make sure I had the name of their Law Firm correct. I know them by their first names, Fred, Rich and Heather. My 5 year nightmare started while working on a towboat as a deckhand, I was severely injured. After surgery and about 6 months, I tried going back to work. I didn't like where things were headed. I just wasn't able to do the same work as before. I still had so many issues. At the time, I had never had to call an attorney. I didn't know which way to go. It took a lot of time and thought before I finally made that decision. I now know that it was the right decision. My case was very complicated and took many years. Fred was my attorney, He worked tirelessly on my case. It felt as if I was his only client. It also felt like I was a part of his family.
They even treated my fiancée and kids like family.
I've had Fred call me at 8-9 p.m. and he was still working on my case. I could call or text any time with questions or concerns and he always responded quickly. It was never an issue. The amount of experience in this firm is amazing. Fred and Rich are the best at what they do. Very knowledgeable. This injury changed my life, forever. Fred understood that. Fred and co. helped my mother first, then my brother and I as co-executors, hold a large company responsible for damages to our family-built riverside property. Fred extended absolute professionalism in all endeavors relating to our situation. He was attentive, prompt and most of all, completely competent in every action executed. I used this firm a while ago for a car wreck and thet got me a great settlement. Recently I used them for a neck injury and they got me 1/10 of what I should have got. I was extremely disappointed and upset. I had to call numerous times to remind them I was a client and was waiting. I talked to some other firms after I received my settlement and they told me they could have gotten me a lot more money. I would rather use Edgar Snyder than these guys again what an insult the amount of money I got for a neck injury. These guys are a joke now.

I was hit by a car on November 16, 2023, and it’s been a long road to recovery. Through a friend, I was recommended to Brendan Lupetin, Greg Unatin, and their associate Garrett Trettel. They were there for me every step of the way, guiding me when I didn’t know what to do and answering my questions pretty much anytime—day or night. They worked hard to get me the best results possible and even reduced some of their fees to help me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

3 years ago my son and I were involved in a car accident. My son’s grandfather referred me to Lupetin & Unatin for representation for the accident. His referral came highly regarded due to him having a case where he was sued Duquesne Light for damages to his property and he won. So needless to say, I went with his recommendation.
Regarding my own case, the representation I received from Lupetin & Unatin was superb. I filed my lawsuit at the beginning of 2022 and they diligently gathered all the information needed to settle the case for me and my son. It took some time, but the end of 2024, they were able to get us a reasonable settlement and they only charged 25%. Garrett Trettel was representing us and he treated our case with the utmost importance and urgency, being very transparent of the necessary steps that had to be taken along the way in order for us to cross the finish line.
I can honestly say I am pleased and satisfied with the service I received from this law firm. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Highly recommended. I got there name from a google search when I suddenly needed a lawyer. They had great reviews and responded immediately when I needed time-sensitive counsel with a family matter. Thomas McKinley is an excellent lawyer, very clear in his communications, reassuring and compassionate. Lawyers are always expensive but I found their rates reasonable. He was able to communicate directly with the DA and save me a lot of footwork and time, and was able to get the matter resolved without me having to deal with the court directly and provided great reassurance throughout. Well worth the money and I will call him first if I ever have any other needs

I was extremely disappointed and upset. I had to call numerous times to remind them I was a client and was waiting. I talked to some other firms after I received my settlement and they told me they could have gotten me a lot more money. I would rather use Edgar Snyder than these guys again what an insult the amount of money I got for a neck injury. These guys are a joke now.

I was hit by a car on November 16, 2023, and it’s been a long road to recovery. Through a friend, I was recommended to Brendan Lupetin, Greg Unatin, and their associate Garrett Trettel. They were there for me every step of the way, guiding me when I didn’t know what to do and answering my questions pretty much anytime—day or night. They worked hard to get me the best results possible and even reduced some of their fees to help me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

3 years ago my son and I were involved in a car accident. My son’s grandfather referred me to Lupetin & Unatin for representation for the accident. His referral came highly regarded due to him having a case where he was sued Duquesne Light for damages to his property and he won. So needless to say, I went with his recommendation.
Regarding my own case, the representation I received from Lupetin & Unatin was superb. I filed my lawsuit at the beginning of 2022 and they diligently gathered all the information needed to settle the case for me and my son. It took some time, but the end of 2024, they were able to get us a reasonable settlement and they only charged 25%. Garrett Trettel was representing us and he treated our case with the utmost importance and urgency, being very transparent of the necessary steps that had to be taken along the way in order for us to cross the finish line.
I can honestly say I am pleased and satisfied with the service I received from this law firm. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.
