I was shocked to speak with a lawyer who doesn't listen when others speak. He treated me as less than human, this is a disrespectful person who thinks his intellect makes him better than the rest of us. Well sir, I am of the 98th percentile intellectually. But all attorneys out there think about what u r writing and what the state of the person is who opens this email Does this take her or him over the edge For me..I just didn’t want to live as it was the last horrific ! David Fiol represented me for a personal injury claim and I was very happy with the service I received. I was very seriously injured and had a long recovery period with several surgeries. It was a very difficult time for me, but after starting with David I soon felt confident that I was in good hands and could stop worrying about my injury claim and could focus on my rehabilitation. David did a very thorough investigation and even managed to located witnesses in the area where the injury had occurred. My case was difficult and took some time to settle. Attorney John Kakinuki tremendously helped me with my divorce proceedings. He said divorce wasn’t his specialty but mine was an international marriage and he is expert in international work and was recommended by mutual friends in our church, so he worked hard to make sure everything went right.
He provided me with excellent service. He gave me a lot of professional advised as to how and what I should expect from the court.
He is very very professional, very knowledgeable. I was so impressed by his work ethics. My case went quick and smoothly because he paid attention to all the details and paperwork’s required by the court.
Honestly at that time I don’t care about anything. Divorce was a nightmare for me. All I know is I just want it done and get over it. Even today when I should forget the proceedings. I was wrongfully sued by a former contractor who had helped build my house. Richard was indispensable in helping me WIN that case. Instead of BSing around in arbitration, my case was transferred to superior court, where the judge found for me, WITH PREJUDICE. How often does THAT happen??? I intend to use Richard again, soon, to help me get all my assets into a revocable living trust, because I want a very specific line of beneficiaries prioritized in a bit of a non-traditional way, and I know Richard can provide more than the boiler-plate forms so I can rest easy that my estate will be properly distributed.

Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with, overcharged for minimal work.
I even had to locate the applicable case law for him. Of some of the work product produced I ended up throwing a majority out as it was completely unusable before i fired him I found an another lawyer for literally a fraction of the price
While working with him he refused to bring my demands to the opposing side claiming they were "unreasonable", Oddly enough when the case was settled they approached me offering, If not exceeding, what he refused to present. Could've save thousands of dollars has Richard Paris presented my demands when requested

I interviewed a dozen or so franchise attorneys before going with Rob. After our first chat, I knew I wanted to work with him - he wasn't pushy and really just wanted to give me sound advice from the start. It was so refreshing to work with someone who was really genuine and thoughtful.
Now back to his work. We were new to franchising but not new to business - in fact, our team has a few serial entrepreneurs. That said, we knew enough to know that we needed an expert to guide us through this process as franchising is a completely different ballgame. We engaged Rob from the beginning of the process (reviewing our FDD) to final execution of our franchise agreements. Here's what I liked most about Rob:
1. He was SHARP on details - Rob pointed out a number (and I mean a lot) of issues that we needed to address. Franchise agreements are really setup to be one-sided in favor of the franchisor and Rob helped us navigate through many onerous terms to either eradicate or shape them to be more favorable.
2. He was very PRAGMATIC - Rob did a good job of reviewing our agreements and coming up with a good game plan for negotiations. Some attorneys will fight tooth and nail for an all or none solution - this rarely ends up favorable for anyone. In fact, in my experience, this will likely end up with the client walking away from the deal with a lot of attorney's hours. NOT Rob, he respected everyone's time and our budget. He helped us figure out the best approach to getting a deal done.
3. He was EXTREMELY EASY TO WORK WITH - I work with many attorneys across different industries and I can easily say that Rob would be one of the friendliest. One of the challenges I faced talking to other franchise attorney's was that they were very "unapproachable" - almost giving the sentiment that I should be lucky to get their time. Not Rob, whenever we spoke, it was all about me and what I needed - no condescending tone.
Going into any new venture can be kind of scary. With Rob, we felt very confident the whole way through. We continue to work with Rob today and would gladly give him a glowing recommendation.

Our adult son was hit by a car while on vacation in San Rafael CA. We recieved the call the night before Thanksgiving 2022. We flew from MPLS to San Fransisco and got to the hospital where our son was. He was injured badly, after emergency brain surgery he was placed in a medically induced coma he woke up after three day's. We decided as a family to contact an attorney. He made my case close by the court on August 31 2021 because he did not show up twice and did not serve the other part. He also said that nothing changed or he had to tell me after my case was dismissed thanks to him. After he did not show up the first time he had the courage to ask for more money .he will be reported to the state bar and sued . What a mistake was hire him, I lost my case and 2 years of time.Joe is incompetent, untrustworthy and lazy . He keep not answering messages and never reopened my case. He refuse to refund my money Wich he never worked for . The reviews on Facebook are from friends and family.
