I reached out to Abrieno Law after my friend suffered a serious injury from a fallen tree at a state park. Even though I wasn’t a paying client, they were incredibly generous with their time and knowledge, offering valuable information over the phone. They went above and beyond, and offered to visit my friend in the hospital to discuss the matter personally. My brother was hit in the of his truck on duty. The defendant and the cop in charge of reporting the crime to the court have tried to intimidate and blame my brother to be at fault of the incident. We asked for Mr. Yeargan’s help and he fully represented my brother and won the case. My brother was not found guilty in anyways.

Jad..was able to get my 107mph down to improper driving, in Fairfax. Prosecutor wouldn’t do anything for us so he took it directly to the Judge and got it reduced. Highly recommend, and his prices are very reasonable. He did for 1/3 The price of other lawyers.

Steven and his assistant Julia were and are the perfect professionals with the patience and expertise and experience to guide me through my first and hopefully last divorce. I was and am probably their most disorganized client ever and after a 30 relationship ended at total wreck. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and not only did they get me through the darkness but where and still are my most trusted councilors. Jason Weis represented me in a post-divorce matter to look at spousal support. This case was a bit more complicated and required hiring a couple experts and Jason was awesome throughout everything. The experts he suggested were excellent and really helped our case. He and his whole team were extremely detail oriented, kind and polite to deal with (which makes a HUGE difference to me), and were really thinking about every angle and aspect to make sure we presented the best possible case. In court, I was blown away. It was clear throughout our 3 days in court that he was the better attorney, made sure all our evidence was presented and we got everything in that we thought was important, and always kept a calm and focused demeanor. The case ended up better than I ever could have imagined and am SO thankful that I was able to find Jason. Jenny, his paralegal, was also great to work with and helped make sure all documents were provided, didn't miss anything, and kept everything for this whole case extremely organized. I was being charged with a very challenging felony and misdemeanor some years back. My situation wasn't the easiest though, at that time I was also in the process of obtaining legal status in this country and being charged with those type of charges was a definite and clear way to deportation; at least that's what the two previous two lawyers said about my case, "there is no point of fighting the case" they said, I was doomed and I was going to return to a country a barely knew...But my family and I didn't want to accept it, and so we kept trying! and I'm glad we did ! One amazing Immigration lawyer referred her to us, and that's when everything changed for the better for me...The moment you walk into her office and start speaking to her, you realize this is no ordinary lawyer. As I finished telling her all about my case, a part of me thought that she was going to do the same as the previous lawyers and tell me it was a lost case...but no.. she listened, took a moment, and made some calls...after that, she told me that she was going to represent me, and although it was in fact a difficult case, I could just tell she believed in my case, but most importantly she believed in me, she believed I didn't deserve to get deported, and I deserved to stay here...Long story short, after multiple court visits before judge...I was finally free! Hiring this firm is better than no representation at all but I would think twice in hiring this firm if you have the funds to go elsewhere. This firm has hired lawyers struggling to maintain their good standing with the bar association and then the firm does not disclose that. Anything that could potentially affect a client's case should be disclosed and the firm not disclosing that is unethical. The firm has a poor mechanism for clients to make complaints and to also act on client complaints. The only person you will talk with is an office manager who has no authority to do anything. It's more like they have a person just to hear complaints so the owners of the firm don't have to deal with them. My whole time I hired this firm I felt like I needed to micromanage them. Its not ok for mail from the firm to be sent to the wrong address, for purge orders to be not filed, for clients to get emails and email communications for different clients that have nothing to do with your case, and info needed to be given to court to be not done in a timely manner or not done at all until the client has asked if it's been done. I'm sure the attorney I hired was a kind person and tried as hard as they could but I should have been informed of the situation so I understood how many micromanagings and check ins I needed to do. My name is Angela Marie Dodd. On 7/15 my former co-worker Mr. Hami, and I had what was supposed to be a consultation with Mr. Cook. This is a wrongful termination case for Mr. Hami. Mr. Hami is From Afghanistan. For those that are patient enough to listen to Mr. Hami, they would find that it is quite easy to understand what he is saying. However, that is not the case for most of the lawyers that we have had consultations with. This is the reason that I accompany Mr. Hami. I do not speak Persian; but I understand what he is saying. I also worked at the same place; and held the same position as Mr. Hami.
I was very disturbed by Mr. Cook's attitude and conduct towards myself, and Mr. Hami during our conversation on 7/15. July 15th was the first time that we met Mr. Cook on the phone. This was an Initial conversation. There was no prior discussion between us about anything. The only prior information that Mr. Cook had about Mr. Hami was that he had been given the right sue by EEOC.
Having the right to sue from EEOC meant that we were successful in proving to EEOC that some form of discrimination occurred towards Mr. Hami by his former employer. Somehow after asking Mr. Hami two questions about the form of discrimination that Mr. Hami received from his former employer; and having zero information about the details of the actual case; Mr. Cook was able to concluded that Mr. Hami would not be able to afford the $100,000 that it was going to cost to receive legal representation from him. Even after I stepped in and told Mr. Cook that Mr. Hami could afford to retain him; Mr. Cook insisted that Mr. Hami could not. Mr. Cook advised us to seek a lawyer that offered contingency services; and then without ever hearing any details of the actual case - told us that he would not be able to take on the case. What level of discrimination is this?
