I was in a car wreck oct. 2015, Mr.Vaughn and his staff helped me fight State Farm . Mr.Vaughn did an excellent job with my case. Before the trial he kept in touch with me ,went over everything that would be going on in the court room. I had a situation with Southern Eye Group in Bay Minette, Alabama where they gave me the wrong prescription and I spent close to $400 getting new lenses, getting a new exam (to determine my real prescription) and the trouble of getting more glasses yet again. I called and called and they flat-out told me they were not reimbursing me and stopped taking my calls. Clearly, a lawyer is too expensive to use for just being owed $400, but Mr. Mitchell worked w/ me anyway.
Before I get into his goodness, I’d like to say that I am melo-dramatic over my principles. I was fully committed to spending money I didn’t have for a lawyer over this nonsense after the way this business treated me. Many lawyers were not available when the paralegals heard my story (due to the lower-tiered financial outcome for the lawyer in question is my guess.) Many are so good (I guess) that they were always in meetings. Mr. Mitchell was available the first time I called and talked directly to me. I promised him no money up front or anything. He genuinely wanted to hear my story and just started advising me right then and there.
He walked me through the entire small claims court process, told me what to do when they defaulted and told me to keep quiet for the next 42 days after I filed the default while the courts work on it so their team of lawyers can’t do anything about it once that grace period passed. Not only has he continued to show me the best routes to take in my specific situation, but he even had me continue to call him to let him know how things were going. I’ve been chomping at the bit to get these reviews out about this man. (I specifically asked him for this website so I could leave the review where HE wanted it.) I wanted to wait until everything was finalized so I could give a full account of all the kindness and advice this sweet man has shown me. I even brought him and his team donuts! He’s so freakin’ nice! I go OUT MY WAY to let folks know about him because his kindness is never-ending. He reminds me of the kindness Alabama USED to show to strangers. Salt-of-the-earth at its best.

Its only when you really need an Attorney that you consider who is out there. I called many most were just talk. Attorney Waite and Miss Kim Grimes walked me through the process and I couldn’t be happier. I was in an automobile accident. Following the accident I was seriously injured and had mobility issues. The other driver's insurance company was condescending and borderline hostile towards me. In 2005, my company purchased some (new) heavy equipment for a specific project. The equipment failed immediately, and the manufacturer would not warranty the repairs. This resulted in an almost insurmountable financial hardship. I met with numerous lawyers, that would not take my case. Pete Mackey and his co-counsel, not only took the case, but won at trial. The result was the highest jury verdict award, in that particular court, in nine years! Pete remains my attorney to this day, and I have no apprehension in recommending him to anyone.

It really is so hard these days to find people who truly care and want to help you in times of real need. This attorney is very unprofessional in my opinion. He made a probate/estate case drag on for 4 years. It cause alot of grief in my family. He slithered in while we were using Greene and Phillips to work a wrongful death case. They referred him, and he originally charged $10,000 to work the estate side of the case. He is very unprofessional as he admitted that he made mistakes in the case, and that's why it took so long, also his paralegal Angel was very rude and short with me. After hiring this man on a contingency basis (we had a contingency contract), he without our knowledge billed our insurance company for services for several thousands of dollars. The insurance company paid him for most, but not his entire invoice. He then began trying to bill us monies, even though he was dismissed from our case by our insurance company. He took us to district court for $10,000, but the judge only made us pay for phone calls and copies only, resulting in a judgement of $2,000ish. He appealed this to circuit court, who dismissed the case. He then reprimanded the judgement back to district court. WE paid the judgement in full and have EVERY RECEIPT!!! Now, out of the blue, over 2 years later, we received a levy on our property from this Attorney claiming we owe him interest on the judgement. We were unaware of any interest owed and have NEVER RECEIVED ONE piece of correspondence from this attorney until this came today. We contacted district court, whom shows our payment in full. We were also informed by the courts, as well as attorney we have contacted that he does this to numerous people, and takes advantage of any and every one he can and uses the legal system to do so! He is not an above board or honest attorney and will take advantage of you any way he can. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY. I would give him 0 stars, but the system makes you give at least one. We have every bit of documentation to verify this review. Years later, this man is still trying to milk monies from us for work he never did. He was dismissed from our case and did not represent us. He is not an honest attorney.
