After being T-Boned by an elderly driver who probably shouldn't have been on the road in the first place, Richard and his team helped me not only get well with quick medical treatment, but also settled my case with the insurance for more than I would have dreamed of getting on my own. He and Nichole were always quick to reply and attentive to any questions I had throughout the time. Thanks again.

Having had a car accident that changed my quality of life I’m so grateful to David and Nicole for getting me through it. I was sent for all my medical needs to good doctors. Everyone in the office is polite and knowledgeable. They stressed the most important thing was to get the treatment I needed. This took the pressure off me easing my anxiety. I can’t express my gratitude for all they did. I can now get on with my life.

I highly recommend Andrew! He (unlike the other attorneys I've hired and fired) is trustworthy. He truly has his clients' best interest in mind versus his pocket. I always trust that he will guide me in the right and honest direction. It's hard to find an honest lawyer and Andrew is it! Additionally, what I like about Andrew and his firm is that they relate to you...they put themselves in your shoes and make suggestions and recommendations as if it was them. All in all, I highly recommend Andrew and his firm!

I was the plaintiff against a Fortune 500 company. Not an easy task. After hiring a "high powered" litigator in downtown LA and being disappointed, I fired that lawyer and went on a search. Andrew impressed me with his attitude. He did a great job against a much larger law firm. Recommend him highly.

When I had my second car accident, I was hesitant to seek legal action due to concerns about the time and effort required. However, I was recommended to seek the help of a lawyer, particularly Quirk Law Firm. Im glad I called them. Filing a lawsuit doesn't have to be a daunting task. With the assistance of a skilled lawyer, the process can be made significantly easier and less stressful, it allowed me to focus on my treatment while they handled everything else. I get to do vacation and my job at home while my case is on going. The result was a seamless and stress-free experience with an amazing team that I highly recommend. Thank you for assisting me and for giving me the settlement that I deserve.

Wow! I am so grateful for Trevor and everyone else at Quirk Law Firm for handling my case and getting me some money for the pain and suffering. I got hit and initially thought I was not injured and told the insurance companies as such. However, a few days after my accident I felt pain all up my back and my shoulders. I was worried I could not do anything because I had already told the insurance companies I was not hurt. So I got in contact with Johnny Martinez over at Quirk Law Firm and he handled everything! I literally called him once and explained to him what happened and he handled the rest. He set me up with an extraordinary and kind chiropractor named Dr. Kraft that got me back to full health with no pain within a couple of months! I didn’t pay for a single thing. I got my health back and my car repaired and looking like new. On top of all this I got a check for all the pain and suffering. Before I called Quirk Law Firm I was worried I wasn’t going to get treated for my injuries but once I called I felt relieved because they really gave me piece of mind when they told me they would handle everything. They did just that. They handled everything for me and I highly recommend anyone that has been in a car accident or any other sort of injury to call Quirk Law Firm!

I hired Mr. Jarrod Wilfert for a DUI with injury case. This case was over two years old and even though I originally was told, I passed the sobriety test and did not get a DUI for some reason they decided to bring it back. Keep in mind, I had made several complaints about the police department, ignoring restraining order and allowing me to be abused. I had all the evidence to show not only was I assaulted that same month which is why I tested positive for a medication. They didn’t decide to bring the charge back because I got an evading police charge because I have PTSD Which had already been communicated with the police department many times. I did not evade the police. I let the car roll forward while having a panic attack. I tried to make that case for the police Evasion case Which should’ve been allowed because I really did have a mental health diagnose That I had been treated for four I had proof that I dealt with Negligence from the police and I put in reports. Nobody cared they wouldn’t let me make those arguments and they let me get a conviction which made them review the dui Decide to charge me. I had proof that I was assaulted that same month that I put in a complaint to the police department because the police who responded was friends with my ex who was my abuser. I also had proof that my car was rear-ended just a couple weeks before, and I took it into a mechanic who said that if it continued to Have break problems To bring it in, I had text messages with the owner of the car telling him that I thought I needed to bring it back in. I was on my way to the mechanic when the accident happened. I passed a sobriety test, and my roommate was with me when I passed it But for some reason, two years later during court They changed it And it said I did not pass. These were all viable arguments I could’ve brought in front of a jury But was advised not to because Mr. Wilfert told me he believed I could get it reduced to a misdemeanor, And from what I understand that would’ve this dismissed The whole case. While going through all this, I had to watch my abusive ex get hate crime And then get them dismiss due to mental health problems. Which he only saw because he was court ordered too, But as a woman who deals with a real medical condition and pays out-of-pocket for my my treatments Wasn’t the same treatment within my own community because apparently I’m a bad woman who needs to take a accountability. Besides all this There was several mistakes made with my case. For some reason, the police were very eager to have me go into the jails, So I was requesting house arrest, especially because of Covid. Mr. Wilford receptionist told me she was sending in the paperwork, right away. But after contacting the sheriffs department, I found out the paperwork was never turned in, I had to fill out the paperwork myself And turn it in last minute. If I didn’t persistently I would’ve had to go into the jails at one of the most dangerous times during Covid. Months later, I had texted Mr. Wilford because he told me to text him anytime, I texted him four times in one month Because the judge told me if I did everything within months, He would reduce the charge to a misdemeanor And get me off probation. So I was excited and I was texting him trying to get information on meeting up to discuss this. He never responded and you see me get concerned as if I thought something happened to him. Instead of getting a professional response and being allowed to be informed on my case and get help, I had the receptionist contact me getting… FULL REVIEW IN PHOTOS

For our case, dealing with the juvenile court, Mr. Wilfert seemed very unprepared. We would basically get information the day that we were in front of the judge, and the DA pretty much ran the show. It is a misrepresentation that Mr. Wilfert states that he will fight for you, and is knowledgeable because he used to be police officer and a DA himself, because he lets the court decide and have control of your case, thus your destiny. I had to start calling Mr. Wilfert's office and demand that he would communicate and tells anything about our case. If your case is serious and you are looking for an attorney that is going to fight for you, and present a good defense, communicate with you about your case, do yourself a favor, and do not hire Wilfert Law.

You have to be very careful about hiring this attorney. Your case will not get the full attention that it needs. You will have to check every thing he does including the spelling. He mixes up previous cases with yours. I had a case dismissed due to him not replying in time. Please do your homework and fully check this guy out. I do not want anyone to go through what I had to go through.

I would recommend to avoid using this attorney if at all possible. I was represented by Joshua Burt in a case against AT&T. When engaging the services of the attorney I signed a retainer agreement which clearly stated that he would have errors & omissions insurance (malpractice insurance). After the conclusion of the litigation I contacted Joshua to inquire about his insurance provider. Joshua told me that he did not obtain the contractually agreed to insurance. When I learned that Joshua did not adhere to the contract I contacted the California State Bar to inform them of the breach. The California State Bar informed me that Joshua was going through a personal financial crisis and as a cost savings decided to not purchase insurance. Also during settlement negotiations I requested for Joshua to withdraw as my attorney and dismiss the case. Joshua continued negotiating after my request for withdrawal. It would appear the Joshua's personal financial crisis motivated him to disregard my request for withdrawal and to engage in bad faith negotiations in order to obtain a quick settlement which contained in illegal waiver of rights pursuant to Business & Professions Code 16600. This is truly disappointing because Joshua does seem to have a great deal of knowledge of the law.

I hired Mr. Pell many years ago to fight a DUI case. We met a couple times over YEARS. He kept collecting money and in turn would push back the court dates. He kept telling me that this is how we win. The office itself was very unprofessional and always acted as if they were doing me a favor and that I was a disruption to them. He pushed my case off more than 4 years and cost me almost $20,000 to fight a DUI case that he did not win or even try to win. Run run run away from this law office and the "lawyers" who work there. Since then (more than 8 years ago) I now have experience with many other law firms, primarily for business and trust purposes. I have never met another attorney that was this terrible.

Mr Liss was paid $500 as a retainer for my probate matter. He made several broken promises. He had promised me paperwork to file and never provided it. A week later I email Mr Liss for the paperwork and he never responded. I then called him and he also never answered Two weeks after the promised paperwork to file he avoided my calls so I called from an alternate number. And guess what he answered! He couldn’t grasp his words when he answered and then again promised me the paperwork that weekend. Once again he failed on his word to provide it to me. So I wrote Mr Liss today and told him moving forward I am hiring someone new because this matter is very important to me. I basically got a letter sent to the other party for $500. Don’t waste your money.

What a Car Accident Lawyer Can Do for You

A car accident lawyer specializes in representing individuals who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents. These lawyers help victims secure compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, property damage, pain and suffering, and other losses resulting from a car crash. They also negotiate with insurance companies, investigate the cause of the accident, and, if necessary, represent clients in court to ensure they receive fair compensation.

If you've been injured in a car accident - whether as a driver, passenger, cyclist, or pedestrian - a car accident lawyer can help protect your rights, navigate the insurance claims process, and ensure you receive the compensation you're entitled to.

When Should I Hire a Car Accident Lawyer?

Consider hiring a car accident lawyer in several situations, especially when the accident results in injuries, property damage, or disputes with the insurance company. Key situations include:

  • Serious injuries: If you’ve suffered significant injuries, such as broken bones, spinal injuries, or traumatic brain injuries, a lawyer can help you seek compensation for medical expenses, future treatment, and pain and suffering.
  • Disputes with the insurance company: If your insurance claim has been denied or the insurance company offers an unreasonably low settlement, a lawyer can negotiate on your behalf to ensure you get fair compensation.
  • Liability disputes: If the other driver’s insurance company is disputing fault or claiming you were partially at fault, a lawyer can gather evidence to prove the other party’s negligence.
  • Wrongful death: If a loved one was killed in a car accident, a lawyer can help the family pursue a wrongful death claim to recover compensation for funeral expenses, loss of companionship, and other damages.
  • Uninsured or underinsured driver: If the at-fault driver lacks sufficient insurance coverage, a lawyer can help you explore other compensation options, such as filing a claim with your own insurance company.
  • Complex cases: Accidents involving multiple vehicles, commercial trucks, or complicated circumstances require legal expertise to manage complexities and hold all responsible parties accountable.

Hiring a lawyer early in the process can help ensure that your rights are protected and that you receive the full compensation you deserve.

What Does a Car Accident Lawyer Do?

A car accident lawyer provides various legal services to help injured individuals pursue compensation for their injuries and losses. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Investigating the accident: Gathering evidence like police reports, witness statements, photos, and video footage to determine how the accident occurred and who was at fault.
  • Filing insurance claims: Assisting clients in filing claims with their insurance company and the at-fault driver’s insurer to ensure all necessary documentation is submitted correctly.
  • Negotiating settlements: Working with insurance adjusters to secure fair compensation for medical bills, property damage, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
  • Calculating damages: Determining the full extent of your damages, including current and future medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost income, and non-economic damages like pain and suffering.
  • Handling medical bills: Coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure your medical bills are paid and helping you avoid financial hardship during the claims process.
  • Filing lawsuits: If the insurance company refuses a fair settlement, the lawyer can file a lawsuit and represent you in court.
  • Representing you in court: Presenting your case before a judge and jury, providing evidence and witness testimony to prove negligence and your right to compensation.

How Are Car Accident Lawyers Paid?

Most car accident lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, meaning they only get paid if they win or settle your case. The key aspects include:

  • Contingency fee: The lawyer’s fee is typically between 25% and 40% of the total settlement or award. You won't pay upfront fees; the lawyer's payment comes from the compensation they recover for you.
  • No fee if no recovery: If the lawyer doesn’t secure compensation for you, you generally don't owe any legal fees.
  • Case expenses: You may be responsible for certain costs related to your case, such as filing fees or expert witness fees. These are usually deducted from the settlement after the lawyer's fee is paid.

Discuss the fee structure during your initial consultation to understand how much you'll owe if your case is successful.

How Much Does a Car Accident Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a car accident lawyer is generally based on the contingency fee arrangement. General estimates include:

  • Contingency fee percentage: Lawyers typically charge between 25% and 40% of the total settlement or award. For example, if you receive a $100,000 settlement and the lawyer's fee is 33%, the lawyer would receive $33,000, and you'd keep the remaining $67,000.
  • Case expenses: Additional costs such as court filing fees, expert witness costs, and administrative fees can range from $1,000 to $10,000 or more, depending on the case complexity.

Ensure you get a clear explanation of fees and expenses during your consultation.

Top Questions to Ask a Car Accident Lawyer

Before hiring a car accident lawyer, consider asking the following questions:

  1. What experience do you have with car accident cases?
Confirm the lawyer has handled cases similar to yours, especially involving serious injuries or complex liability issues.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Understand the contingency fee percentage and any additional costs you may incur.
  3. What is the likelihood of success in my case?
Seek an honest assessment of your case's strengths and potential challenges.
  4. How long will the process take?
Get an estimate of the timeline for settling or taking the case to trial.
  5. Will you handle my case personally?
Ensure you know who will be managing your case and their level of involvement.
  6. What kind of compensation can I expect?
Ask about the types of damages you may be entitled to, including medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

How to Check the Credibility of a Car Accident Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Check their bar status: Verify with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  • Review their experience: Look for specialization in personal injury and car accident cases.
  • Read client reviews: Consult platforms like Avvo or Martindale-Hubbell for testimonials and ratings.
  • Ask for references: Request contact information of previous clients willing to discuss their experience.
  • Check professional affiliations: Membership in organizations like the American Association for Justice (AAJ) indicates a commitment to the field.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To maximize the effectiveness of your initial meeting, bring the following:

  • Police report: A copy of the accident report filed by the police.
  • Medical records: Documentation of your injuries, treatments, and medical expenses.
  • Photos and videos: Any visual evidence from the accident scene and of your injuries.
  • Insurance information: Copies of your insurance policy and any correspondence with insurance companies.
  • Witness information: Contact details and statements from any witnesses.
  • List of questions: Prepared questions about your case and the legal process.

Being well-prepared helps the lawyer assess your case accurately and advise you on the best course of action.
