I gave them 1 star because I called to get my remaining balance to pay off. Their accounting person was awful and rude. She did not know what the fees are being charged for nor the remaining balance that I would had to speak to the lawyer handling the case to get the final balance. That was fine but why be nasty and rude if clients are asking. They really need to train their front office or accounting staff better customer service or how to properly talk to clients better. My husband called a second time and asked to speak to a specific paralegal or lawyer involved in the case to get the final balance and they mistakenly transferred him to this accounting person they had again. She was soo rude and spoke to us both slowly like you are talking to a 1st grader like we did not speak any English. I do not know if it’s because of our last name but we both were born in the states so there was no need to belittle people that are trying to pay off their remaining balance. Makes me think she speaks to all foreigners this way and everybody should be spoken with respect regardless what race, former or current client. We will not be using them ever again for any services knowing they have rude and nasty accounting or front office staff that are not properly trained. I will also be telling others I know about this awful experience.

I had a big car accident in June 2018; I almost lost my life because of a careless driver that crushed my car to rush to the gas station. I suffered a lot from this accident, been through so many medications and treatment, mentally so stress, and financially been rough. I contacted Ms Sampson after I was involved in a car crash resulting in personal injury. She reviewed my case, presented my options and vigorously fought the auto insurance company of the at fault driver. They tried to get me to settle for far less than I received, and Ms Sampson never gave in to their less than sufficient offers. Sandra Sampson was my defense lawyer for 3 Felony charges in the City of Norfolk. The charges had a combined maximum sentence 30 years in jail and up to $100k in fines. I contacted Ms. Sampson the day after my arrest and she immediately took up my case. She kept me informed through the processes and always presented all of my options, their consequences, and, if I asked her questions about the proceedings, she gave me informed answers. The entire process from arrest to outcome took only about two months, and as the title states I received a nolle prosequi (no contest) for each charge against me. Thanks to Ms. Sampson's efforts, I got the outcome I deserved and my good name isn't tarnished.

Met with me and the lady looked at all my paperwork for some stuff we that happened with Portside rehab after about 20 minutes of going through all my stuff she pulls out the first document that I handed her in the beginning and said I’m sorry, but we can’t represent you. mind you for the 20 minutes she was rifling through all of my stuff she made four pages of notes so this makes me think that maybe she’s not being so truthful and somebody who is not part of my best interest is a client of hers already??? on top of that she lied about the validity and legality of one of my documents. I guess she thought me to be of inferior intelligence and would just walk off and be dumb but I am willing to bet money that she is connected to the other side of my legal problems and this was just researching what I may or may not have. Very very shady. Oh yeah then they were whispering and cutting their eyes out the corners when was leaving

I got an advertisement letter in the mail among many. I got many quotes but to me I feel like I hit the jackpot with Sidney Kelsey. First, all of the other letters seemed threatening and made me uncomfortable. I called Mr. Kelsey's office because his letter was very genuine, second, he was understanding and realistic about my case. His fees were so reasonable and so I decided to go with him. I wasn't able to make it the first time to court so he got me a continuance. When the date came he got it dismissed and I am such a happy person thanks to him, in my opinion people who complain about their attorneys do not follow their advice, that's what they are there for!

If I could have given Nicole zero stars, I would have. I have never seen a more one sided attorney in my life. During the most important court case I’ve ever had to deal with (custody), She gave the most inaccurate, opinionated prospectives I’ve ever witnessed. She never viewed ANY of my supporting documents and literally spoke to me for 5 minutes during a custody hearing. That is hardly enough time to make a determination on the rightful guardianship of a child.
I would not hire her to represent my goldfish let alone leave my lively hood in her hands.
Good luck to whoever is forced to have her as court appointed anything.

I have NEVER seen someone so sloppy and unprofessional in the court room. She would blatantly flirt with my ex husband in front of the entire court room. She was supposed to represent my child but was in his back pocket the entire time. She spoke to me for exactly 44 minutes through our entire (months long) process meanwhile she was running to my ex after the court hearings. Offered him a home visit I didn’t get, and blatantly LIED to the courtroom and in her evaluation. She gave all of her reports late and they had absolutely nothing factual, just what she took as truth from my ex husband. This woman is a disgrace and I do not know how she sleeps at night being the vile disgusting excuse of a human that she is. If she is assigned to you, especially if you’ve been abused by the other party, GET HER OFF YOUR CASE NOW. She should not be allowed in another courtroom or to be the voice for another child ever again.
