Gabriela Asrow gave me my freedom.
My divorce and post divorce was extremely complicated to say the least.
Gabriela jumped in head first, knows the law and my allocation back and forth, and represented me with gusto and professionalism.

My divorce was extremely contentious to say the least. Negotiations were extremely difficult. However, Ms. Gabriela Asrow never gave up. The mere fact the divorce was finalized in a little over a year is a testament to her hard work. I appreciated her vast knowledge of the law which was very helpful during this difficult process. This was a tough settlement. However she got it done and was tough with me when necessary. She also cares deeply about children so I highly recommend her if should children / visitation an issue.

Hiring Gabriela for my pre-nuptial agreement was the best decision I could’ve made. Not having a legal background, she quickly brought me up to speed on the critical concepts covered in the agreement & ensured I understood the risks to each.

Melissa was fantastic. We partnered on my prenuptial at later stages. And, in hindsight I do wish I had started the initial process with her. I entered the conversation initially thinking most of the heavy lifting was done; however, it was quickly apparent there were more topics that needed to be addressed and quickly. She was responsive, accountable, respectful of my time, and helped me to prioritize and to de stress a time sensitive and overall stressful period. There was a lot at stake in my divorce. I am glad I hired Tanya Witt. I would've made costly mistakes without her. Once I hired Tanya, my ex and her lawyer immediately stopped trying to take advantage and became rational. There was something related to my child that I was trying to get in place for over a year and my ex always refused. Tanya got it done in like 30 minutes. My child was the most important thing to me an Tanya listened. Had I kept representing myself, I would not have my child as much as I do and I would not have gotten a fair settlement. My friends and family suggested I contact the law offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. located in Chicago. I chose to have Jim Hagler and Summer Du represent me. BEST DECISION I MADE IN YEARS!
I came to Jim Hagler because I was not getting any time with my daughter, even though we had "equal custody" after the divorce almost 4 years prior. Our original divorce paperwork from a different lawyer was vague and poorly written, leaving my ex-wife lots of loopholes to keep my daughter away from me, unless she felt like "granting" me access to see my own daughter. I was heartbroken, depressed and mad. I hope no one has to experience the pain I was going through. I wanted to be her father, not some weekend or periodic person that could only see her occasionally.
I was done with feeling helpless, and knew I had to stand up for myself and get my daughter back into my life. Every daughter needs her father, and ever father needs to be with his daughter! Jim and Summer refiled the custody paperwork so it reflected what equal custody really means. That started the expected battle for custody. And holy cow were they ready for it!
Jim and Summer are real hero's to me. They blew holes in very false accusation and unsubstantiated lie my ex-wife could dream up! And I assure you she came up with new ones every time Jim and Summer proved the last one was a lie! No matter how ugly the process became they guided me through it all with a level of support, dignity and professionalism which gave me the confidence to know we would come out on top! In the end even her own lawyer knew the truth, it was a great victory- and by victory I only mean having my daughter (and best friend) back in my arms!
Today, I have equal custody of her and could not ask for anything more in life! My relationship with my ex has also returned to normal and we are doing a great job coparenting. I never though any of this would be possible.
MY WORD OF ADVICE: Don't ever give up your rights as a father and do what you know is right- call Jim and Summer if you really want your daughter back!!!!!!!!

I hired Leah to represent me in my divorce in 2018. My divorce was an extraordinarily difficult and complex process with many personal and financial angles to measure, manage and negotiate. The set of circumstances involved children, property and a very large estate with multiple trusts and investments to consider and maneuver through and around.
Once Leah was presented with all of the details of this highly complex situation, she was able to synthesize the information and, ultimately, present to me a set of potential options with their likely outcomes. Reem Odeh helped my parent get a green card after a long visa overstay. When we were about half way through the process, we encountered a really difficult pothole and had to consider the fact that my parent would not be eligible for her card. Reem personally intervened, performed some miracle work with a letter she wrote to the USCIS, and we received the green card yesterday. The process took about 9-10 months.
We are absolutely grateful for all the work that Reem and her office put in for us. I strongly recommend her for anyone requiring help in immigration, because if anyone could help you, it will 1000% be her. She is so empathetic and cares about individuals, not the numbers.

My ex wife hit me with a ridiculous and totally unfounded demand for "past due" support. Her lawyer threatened me and filed endless demands with the courts for 2yrs (during wich time my parents were both ill and passed during.all this) my ex knew that my mother had all my paper work , and with her gone i was all but defenseless. I was in a very dark place emotionally and financially with no way out. Thank God a friend referred me to Olga , she literally showed me a light when i thought there were none. Hannah was phenomenal to work with. I started by trying to navigate the divorce process on my own but became overwhelmed. I found Hannah in a neighborhood Facebook group and decided to book a consultation. Having done one consultation already with another well known Chicago firm, I was super hesitant. Unlike other firms, she did not make me fill out a 10 page questionnaire prior to getting on a call and was actually honest and gave advice during our one hour call. She didn’t push me to get off the phone within a time limit. She was present and made sure I was comfortable and my questions were answered. Throughout the divorce process I could not have asked for a better attorney to partner with. While my divorce was relatively “easy” she was on top of it! Every email was answered in way less than 24 hours (usually within 1) and her follow up was impeccable. She always had a plan and always told me what to expect next. I cannot recommend Hannah enough.

Andrea is by far the best personable lawyer. I have hired other lawyers and felt no connection, which was starting to harm my case. What set her apart from others, was her natural approach which allowed a connection on so many levels. Ms. Pratt immediately upon receiving my case acquired all the standard time I was to be alloted with children that previous representation never acknowledged. Ms. Pratt only contacted me necessarily. I didn't realize this at first, however it let me know she's not just trying to run up a bill. She is well informed of the law and was strategically aware on how to pursue my desired outcome. Although life's issues were taking place in her world she never dropped the ball on the most important thing in mine. The end result was fair for both parents and kids. I used Mary Katherine In 2010 and since then have had to use her on and off for a coulpe things after my divorce. She was wonderful to work with and always did what she said. She understands this is a difficult time even after the final divorce and walks me through what I need to do. She is very understanding and when going through these difficult times she makes it alot easier. She is very prompt and gets things done in a timely matter.
