Being a nurse with the same company for 28 plus years, I thought I was secure in my job. Through good and bad, we banded together to take care of our patients. I worked my way into management and was proud of my staff and my company. Until I became the patient.
Getting hurt on the job at first seemed like an untimely inconvenience. I was confident that I could get fixed and then back to my job. I was wrong. I was blocked at every direction by workers comp; jumping through hoops and not knowing which way to turn. I would be in literal tears with the case worker begging for them to do something to stop the pain, to please help me. I may as well have been talking to a rock.
When all else failed and I thought I was going to hurt forever, I found Jack Cannon and his team. To say I was blessed would be an understatement. His knowledge and background in navigating through the legal and emotional aspects of a workplace injury is second to none. He made sure we had money coming in, helped get me second opinions for the surgery I desperately needed, and was there for me every step of the way. He made the whole process easy and ensured I was taken care of. He and his team are easy to talk to and showed a level of compassion that impressed this nurse.
The two biggest things I learned:
1. It doesn’t matter how long you have been with a company, workers comp is like any other business and they are not on your side.
2. Don’t wait to call a lawyer if you are hurt on the job. I waited in pain for almost a year. If you are hurt, call Jack Cannon and his team. They are on your side. They will do the fighting so that you can do the healing.

I met James through my bankruptcy attorney
During the bank fraud forclosures in 2010. Heather was my attorney during my initial divorce proceedings and was an excellent listener. She was able to cover corners in ways I hadn’t imagined. After my ex came back in violation of our agreement, Heather should have been my first call, but I got tripped up because it was about the house and started with a real estate attorney. What a waste of time. As soon as Heather was back in the case, my ex quickly lost her appetite for the fight she picked, and then when she sold the house a few months later, Heather was there to ensure the agreement was enforced.
She has the experience to get it all done and as smoothly as you and your soon to be ex make it.
I would hire Heather again.

I hired them to handle a very contentious divorce, and it was the best decision I ever made. Reem Odeh helped my parent get a green card after a long visa overstay. When we were about half way through the process, we encountered a really difficult pothole and had to consider the fact that my parent would not be eligible for her card. Reem personally intervened, performed some miracle work with a letter she wrote to the USCIS, and we received the green card yesterday. The process took about 9-10 months.
We are absolutely grateful for all the work that Reem and her office put in for us. I strongly recommend her for anyone requiring help in immigration, because if anyone could help you, it will 1000% be her. She is so empathetic and cares about individuals, not the numbers.
