I had an odd situation where I ended up with visitation/ custody issues with my ex who ended up being a sex offender. I went into court the first time and didn’t have an attorney and got taken advantage of. Arianna ended up being in the courtroom when this happened to me. I decided I needed an attorney so my boyfriend started looking into some and found Arianna online. Let me just say I have had at least 10 attorneys for a multitude of matters. I know what it’s like for an attorney to just show up and charge hours but barely know your case. Attorney Nunez is exceptional she prepares exhibits to help create a successful outcome. She prepares and gets insight ahead of time and also a few days before hearings/trial and makes adequate time, so she is kept abreast to represent you fully. From the very beginning you could tell Ryan and his assistant Jen are both very passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. Ryan and his assistant, Jen, were very understanding and compassionate but yet professional and reasonable as they helped me file for divorce from my husband of 30 plus years. One of the first things Ryan said to me was… “ I am more expensive than a counselor, so if you want to chat about things not directly pertaining to the case, I will steer you back on track….but I recommend it is healthy to go seek out a counselor to help you emotionally get through the divorce.” Right from the start he was very conscious of a budget and kept things moving that were important to the case. He reminded me that somethings could cost more in attorney fees than were worth proving. Where I wanted to achieve something based on the principle of it, he steered me back to the cost that would be sacrificed to get it.
The divorce was complicated by the fact that I had put my career on hold to be a stay-home-mom to several children, allowing my husband to advance his career with the federal government and have all the perks related to early retirement eligibility, federal employee health benefits (FEHB), a government pension and a generous government matching Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). Although I had the same college degrees, education level, previous federal employment, and had recently picked up non-federal employment, I did not have the number of years to be eligible similar benefits. I counted on Ryan to weed through the confusing government rules and regulations pertaining to government “Spouse Equity,” “Survivor Spouse Annuity,” and “Federal Employees Health Benefits.” When my husband was adamant that he did not want to provide for the Survivor Spouse Annuity, Ryan was able to appeal to him and his attorney to have it provided because of the long marriage. Whatever Ryan did not know, he found out. He also has access to professional paralegals (at rates less than his) who are experts at dividing government retirement and TSP accounts based on individual cases. Ryan leveraged their information and guidance in preparing the court orders for the retirement division and the TSP division. Ryan is highly knowledgeable of the government retirement-type issues and an expert in the preparation of court orders specific to government retirement plans.
Although there were no longer any minor children, my case was further complicated by many other things, to include stock being held for an elderly parent with the intention that it would be returned to her if needed for her health care, multiple bank accounts, brokerage accounts, credit cards, student loans for a couple children, pages of personal belongings, hotel points, airline points, hidden cash, hidden trips, hidden debt, an adult child still in college-tuition, a house mortgage, a timeshare, multiple cars, some of which belonged to children, a dog, healthcare, dental and vision for adult children under the age 26, and the desire to be able to obtain federal healthcare when needed for myself.
One of the best ways to describe Ryan is that he has the mind of a chess player. He was always thinking one move ahead, and the topic of alimony comes to mind here (pros and cons)…. You’ll have to ask him.
Did the divorce cost more than expected? … Absolutely! But I am the reason for this. I can be wordy (this is probably the longest review on his page) and my emails long, but Ryan patiently answered every question, reminding me along the way to trust him, and that my wordiness and multiple questions would cost me more. I did not care because he was providing me with information which gave me peace of mind. He also obtained something that three other attorneys told me could not be done (ask him!). He is excellent, worth every penny.
Lastly, it is not in my nature to write reviews. I have made this one exception because Ryan and his assistant, Jen, deserve kudos for a job well done. A sincere Thank You Ryan for accomplishing the near impossible. May your practice thrive!

I think Denise Mirman is an excellent attorney. She was my attorney for 8 months this year. She came very highly recommended and with an excellent reputation. I know a number of people (including many people in the legal community) who know her, have worked with her in the past and came away with a positive experience. She understands the legal system, and directs her clients to the most reasonable path with the best promise of a good outcome. She doesn't candy-coat the process, but instead encourages her clients to adopt a practical common-sense approach to their situation. My divorce was just final almost a year ago. It was a difficult situation with our business involved. Denise ALWAYS looked out for me. I would get intimidated - just plain scared - and she would "talk me off the cliff"! This happened many times. She was always available - even at night and on weekends. I don't want to think about what my situation would be had I not hired Denise! She would often say to me: "I'm not your mother" but this is what I advise. There were many difficult decisions to be made and I learned that "leaning" on her was my best option. She truly cared about me and my health. She wanted me to be happy. When first approaching my divorce I must have tried meeting every lawyer I possibly could in order to find the right fit. I ended up knowing right when meeting him that this was the person I wanted to represent me in my battle that was going to be the worst thing I had ever in my life went threw. I walked in his office with a ton of anger from not being able to see my kids and all the false information being said about me. By the 3rd time I seen him I had my head firmly secured and was able to focus 100% on my goals. He was only a attorney yet made such a HUGE positive impact and set me and my children on the right path and not simply because he was being paid to do so. At many times he showed his genuine care, compassion and understanding. My kids grew to know his name and are still to this day very thankful for him. I am a father that now has my kids the majority of the time and can see to it the kids have a bright future. A few years have passed since concluding my divorce and I was forced to be right back in court for contempt that was so far from the truth. I figured I could try to find a cheap attorney to hopefully quickly fix the problem, 2 years later and thousands being wasted nothing was fixed. I once again hired Ken and the problem was fixed and luckily I am out of court again. I learned my lesson, any future needs he will be my first call! I was never asked to make any reviews or offered anything to do so. This awesome man truly deserves a good word put out there for him, about him.

I hired John midway through my divorce because I was not pleased with my first lawyer. John was able to get up to speed quickly and jump in,right in the middle of negotiations. The dynamics in each divorce are different and John took the time to listen to my situation and focused on my needs. He helped me understand what to expect if the court were to decide our case vs. us coming to an agreement which helped me as I was asked to make decisions. He negotiated with the opposing council and was able to bring our divorce to a resolution much quicker than I anticipated. When the stress of the divorce was at its highest, John showed compassion but also re-focused my energy to the legal aspects needed to finalize the divorce. At the last minute when it looked like our deal was about to fall apart, John again worked effectively with opposing council to get over the last hurdle and move the case to resolution.
I also felt that John was very respectful of my money. He worked hard and efficiently to quickly resolve the case and keep my costs to a minimum.

I was NOT a client. I was a 3rd party payer for a contract that was being done. the account was charged for time before the retainer was completed. There were ZERO changes or updates to the contract. Overall Emma was extremely unprofessional and rude in her interactions. We became afraid to interact due to being charged for everything. I get time is money but this was just ridiculous for the amount of work that was NOT conducted.
