Curtis Bounds handled my child custody case so that I can maintain custody of my grandson bc I knew his mom was still not fit. I had a very complicated case. The first time , I looked at him and said to myself ,He is too young ,does He have experience. Then a found out He is an expert, a very good listener, respectful. What was impressive on him ,He feels sorry for you when you don't have money ,helps you to cut cost . He doesn't want just to money from when you don't. He gave me so many advises to lower fees. My wife and I could not be happier and are truly grateful for the services provided by Mr. Joseph Wahl and his staff Lisa and Sophie. We live in Texas and were in immediate need of legal representation for our visitation petition case in the state of Delaware. We reached out to several firms in Delaware but their responses felt somewhat less personal. Mr. Wahl, on the other hand, leaned in to what we had to say and came up with the blueprint of our case shortly after our initial consultation. By our second teleconference, he walked us through exactly what to expect and what to prepare to better present our case before the court.
As with most legal cases, our petition was no walk in the park. As my now ex-wife and I finally decided to end our marriage the idea of searching for a lawyer felt like a completely dreadful process that I was not looking forward to at all. This was not because I wanted to stay married, we both wanted out.

Let me first state that Mrs. Cutrona was my first lawyer: EVER!!!! Never did I image I would ever have to get a lawyer in my life, let alone for custody reasons. Mr. Hitchings did an excellent job with my divorce and custody case. Had a very complicated custody with multiple children involved and an ex which was very manipulative. Had to go to court multiple times due to the complexity of the custody. If Tim said he was going to do something he did it. He is very straightforward and honest. He gets to know you so he can better understand what needs to be done. He actually cares about everyone involved in the case and wants what is best for all, especially the children involved. He will meet with you as often as need be to make you comfortable before going to court and throughly go over all paperwork involved. I had many,many pages of documents that I had to send to Tim and he went over every email that I sent him and called me on many occasions if something didn't make sense. Bottom line is HE CARES. If I had to do it all over, I would not change a thing. He guided me in the right direction every step of the way.

Going through a custody battle can be confusing, exhausting and stressful. Especially, when you find out two months to trial the other side retained an attorney.
I decided it would be best to seek some form of counsel. I was referred to Mr. Tsakataras through another attorney. I immediately called because I had been praying for guidance, and this attorney gave him a stellar recommendation. I did my own research while awaiting the consultation meeting. His reputation was incredible! He has EXTENSIVE experience in custody matters. He has state / federal contracts in the family court system. This man has earned the respect; and you only do that by working hard! So, everything in me said “THIS, is exactly WHO you need to talk to!”
Fast forward to the Monday we were meeting, we ended up rescheduling because an emergency hearing was the following day he had to prepare for. I was timely notified by Steven (his paralegal) and informed of what was going on. How could I even be upset? That’s the type of person you WANT on your team. Somebody who is DEDICATED to your case and will FIGHT to see the best outcome.
Finally, it’s the day of the consult, he called me in a timely fashion; and he let me know how the process works; 50 minutes, i had already sent all my documentation to him- so even though it was via phone; it was as if I was in the office.
He told me the retainer fees, and asked me if I wanted to be prepared, OR, if I would be able to pay the fee. I opted for preparation as trial is set for next month and the fees as a result was going to be very high.
During this consultation, he outlined in details which factors are the factors I should be focused on, how to highlight them, how to present them to court. He gave me valuable information that you really can’t put a price tag on. Once the 50 minutes was up, he did not rush to get off the phone. He made sure I was able to take very detailed notes, giving me dates, telling me how to get things admitted into court and before the judge.
I feel very confident in my case, however, he has made my confidence level boost while fright of the attorney has diminished.
I 110% recommend this attorney and I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak with him. It’s evident that he cares a lot more about the people he HELPS than he does about the money; I can only pray he continues to have great success in all paths of his life and continues to be blessed.

I would NOT recommend this law firm. Lawyer was unprepared for trial. Spent hours on the phone padding his bill to do trial readiness than didn't ask 80% of the question talked about; even asked the wrong questions to us. He was not vocal in the trial and barely payed attention to our answers. The other lawyer mopped the floor with him. Never got our case across. Than received an enormous bill...travel & expenses. I would rate him in the negatives if I could.

On my recent closing I found the attorney to be very competent and friendly. My complaint is about how I couldn’t get the attorney to call me when I found out I, the buyer, was paying some of the broker commission. I wanted to know how common that practice was in Delaware. Instead I had a paralegal tell me how great my broker was and how many deals they do with him. I also wanted to know when the language about my new found obligation had appeared in the CD. Nothing, just crickets from this law firm.

After calling and having an initial consultation with Mitch, I sent the requested documentation that his office asked for. I then inquired as to when they would get back to me. Two weeks went by without a response. I called his office again and talked to their front desk personnel in which they verbalized that Mitch would call me. This did not happen. I did receive an email from a paralegal in which she was polite and conveyed accessibility via email. Again this was not the case. I emailed this individual three or four times and got ZERO replies. I then called their office again and talked to the woman at the front desk and what she stated was that Mitch would call me. This did not happen. It's been 4 weeks and this office has not returned my phone calls responded to my emails or reached out to consult me on my case. I don't even know how much I'm supposed to pay for the retainer because the office has not communicated such information to me even after signing a retainer. This office is unprofessional and irresponsible. ABSOLUTELY NO FOLLOW-THROUGH!!! This was my experience and is my opinion.

I retained Mrs. Hopkins to represent me in a complex custody case, where I was seeking relocation. She was able to reach a settlement for us that was almost exactly the same arrangement I had proposed to the opposing party. When I found myself in an emergency PFA situation with no lawyer, STEVE made me feel welcome and with no hesitation took my case under short notice reviewed it and addressed it, he is a professional of utmost respect and walked with me to the courthouse making me feel safe being that I was, as I'm sure many are in our shoes, TERRIFIED. Ms. Reynolds does not like to represent certain clients, which is her prerogative; however, she basically robbed us of the $400 consultation fee. She requested documentation several weeks before but gave us the excuse that her assistant failed to print them out. She was completely unprepared! If she was prepared she could have spared us the $400 fee, by being honest and upfront beforehand. She was so disrespectful and shaming. We would have went elsewhere. I’m disgusted. Please go elsewhere unless you want to be judged, shamed and out of money. I agree with every other negative post. No response necessary Ms. Reynolds. Please spare me any more insult.

My case was unnecessarily lengthy with an exhausting counsel on the other side. Jennifer handled the situation with utmost professionalism & got the job done! I paid her a $10,000 retainer and she proceeded to burn through it like it was toilet paper. She provided zero representation. Her complete advice was, "Just do what the court and DFS tells you to do." Every other lawyer I've talked to has told me I should have had my children back long ago. I would NOT recommend this law firm. Lawyer was unprepared for trial. Spent hours on the phone padding his bill to do trial readiness than didn't ask 80% of the question talked about; even asked the wrong questions to us. He was not vocal in the trial and barely payed attention to our answers. The other lawyer mopped the floor with him. Never got our case across. Than received an enormous bill...travel & expenses. I would rate him in the negatives if I could.

On my recent closing I found the attorney to be very competent and friendly. My complaint is about how I couldn’t get the attorney to call me when I found out I, the buyer, was paying some of the broker commission. I wanted to know how common that practice was in Delaware. Instead I had a paralegal tell me how great my broker was and how many deals they do with him. I also wanted to know when the language about my new found obligation had appeared in the CD. Nothing, just crickets from this law firm.

I hired Kathy about 5 years ago to help with my divorce. She was able to help guide me with split custody and filing for help with child support. After many years of custody issues and lack of support issues she would then help guide me with those as well. Eventually I would need Kathy to help me with an emergency full custody order that would in turn lead into a termination of rights and adoption of my daughter by her step father.
