Unfortunately, I've had to use Renee Lee far too many times. First, for my divorce from 2012-2014 and many instances since. She is reliable, determined, and committed. She has done a fabulous job every time that I've had to use her. She almost got me 50/50 custody of my son. I have him 12 days out of 30, and all holidays and school breaks are 50/50. I highly recommend her.

I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move. I would use Jack, Josh and the entire Berner team in the future.

My family came to Jack's Law office with quite a burden on our shoulders and a lot of confusion on how best to move forward. After a few consultations we decided to move forward with his services and I can tell anyone that it is 100% the best move we could have made. I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. Talking to her always made me feel better. She went above and beyond for me from beginning to end like no others, and for that I'm forever grateful for everything she has done for me.

I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. If you have ever dealt with a truly pathological person you know how crazy they can make a legal case. There is almost nobody who understands the abuse dynamics in family law. I am proclaiming this loudly- Rob Gets It!! My case isn’t done yet but I am so happy Rob has not given up fighting for what’s right. I can’t recommend him highly enough!!

This is actually a tough review to write because truly I have appreciated so many things about Emily and her team. Some things that come to mind are that she would always encourage me kindly and professionally not to waste my time, effort, and money on a battle that I would not win. That being said, when there arose a time that she knew there was something I was passionate about she was always ready to go to bat for me. Another thing I loved about her was her and her office teams attention to detail, my documents always ended up looking very professional and free of typos and although I am a strong writer, Emily is also a strong writer which really helped get the story that needed to be told out there. Emily is truly a unique individual; she is personable and friendly and honest and kind; qualities that can be tough to find in an attorney. I suggest that you learn to trust her implicitly as getting through family litigation issues is stressful enough as it is. I can’t tell you how many times I was grateful to have such an amazing lady in my corner. I can’t say enough good things about her.

"We are extremely disappointed with the services we received from M' at Genesis. Despite having solid evidence to support our case, she advised us not to present it to the court, resulting in a prolonged and frustrating legal battle. After putting down a small retainer, M' quickly exhausted it on a single motion, followed by a bill that exceeded $800. Despite our attempts to communicate our dissatisfaction, Genesis never responded, and M' never offered an apology.
We eventually decided to represent ourselves and, contrary to her repeated warnings, successfully won full custody. The very evidence she advised us not to use was pivotal in our victory. Our experience with her was marked by condescension and a lack of attention to crucial details about our case and children. It became clear that her focus was more on financial gain than on genuinely assisting us.
I strongly advise anyone considering working with an LLT to think twice and shop around before choosing M' or Genesis. Our three-year ordeal could have been avoided with better guidance. There are many resources available, from free consultations to online legal advice, that can help you navigate the system without falling victim to costly and ineffective representation.
While M' may initially come across as competent and trustworthy, our experience suggests otherwise. We were left feeling disrespected, misled, and financially drained. I would not recommend her or Genesis to anyone seeking fair and effective legal support."

If you are in the unfortunate situation where you are in need of a family law attorney, Genesis Law is the way to go. I have never needed an attorney before, so frankly, I didn't know what to look for when I needed one. Genesis has a reputation for honesty, even ending things with clients if they find out they have been lying. My experience with Sean Moore at Genesis lived up to that reputation.
My case was a pretty complex and contested divorce (involving military benefits, four small children, a Guardian ad litem and a psychological evaluation). There were many hearings, an attempt at mediation and we eventually ended up in a 4 day long trial.
There were many delays and difficulties in this case, and Sean Moore competently dealt with all of it. The opposing side had severe, untreated mental health issues which made it difficult to anticipate what bizarre talking point would be brought up in a hearing and in trial. Sean Moore was both strategic and flexible in trial as needed in this situation.
I guess it is probably in poor taste to say someone "won" or "lost" in a divorce trial, so i'll just say that my children are now safe, i'm getting some compensation, and the other side's time with the children is severely limited until they receive and maintain mental health treatment. Thanks to Sean Moore, everything that should have rightfully happened in this case is now in effect.

Walking into Rodi’s office for the first time, I was nervous. I was staring down what was certain to be a long, nasty, complex divorce and I needed to make sure I had the best representation possible. But, I also had to know I could trust and relate to whoever might provide that.
Rodi commanded the room with her presence, nevertheless, she immediately put me at ease. Within no time at all I could tell she understood where I was coming from, what my children and I were going through, and how my ex figured into these things. She got up to speed on my particularly complicated/unique situation extremely quickly, and I knew at once I had an ally. And a determined, smart, experienced, relentless, caring one at that. I knew she had my back from day one.
And she never once faltered. Through the countless, pointless and malicious deviations, distractions, and motions my ex threw up to complicate things; the endless diatribe of slander and lies, the messy and ugly, Rodi was my rock. She – and her equally amazing and dedicated paralegal – gave me confidence, kept me informed, and put everything into perspective. She has a vast history with and inside knowledge of the courts and judges and she possesses a fierce, but steady, demeanor. When my ex failed to even try to make mediation a success, we faced at court time—something both she and I had hoped to avoid. Mediation is always Rodi’s preferred outcome; that said, the court is truly where she shines. My own court experience turned into a three-day circus of sorts, thanks to my ex’s antics, vitriol, and curious representation. Although Nathan got me the initial paperwork the amount of money spent was not worth it. He failed to update the judge as required. Failed to submit paperwork I requested him too. Failed to explain billing. Failed to follow the judges order. Always wanted more and more money and accomplished nothing. Then when he wanted an additional 5 to ten thousand dollars and I just paid my rearage and refurbished my escrow he dumped me claiming it was not paid in time. Not true the payment through MI billing recieved the payment the morning of the 30th. Unless you have a fat wallet and can dump tens of thousands on these guys do not use them they are all about money with no results. 20,000 dollars later I get my butt chewed by the judge because Nathan did not do his job then dumped me with nothing to show but a twenty thousand dollar debt. Now I have to redo all of the paperwork myself thanks for nothing Nathan. Over billed with no results.

Ximena was referred to me by a colleague, and I'm so grateful I decided to hire her. She helped me with a challenging custody situation and was extremely knowledgeable and strong throughout the entire process. The situation was complicated and I wasn't entirely sure what the best approach was. She did an excellent job asking the right questions, helping me navigate the process and options with an objective eye, and ultimately helped to achieve the best possible outcome. Her approach is objective and direct (as it should be).
Ximena's approach is strong, but she is extremely compassionate and truly cares about her clients. It is definitely not about how many hours she bills or if she can get the case to trial. Representation was pathetic at best. Ken is very hard to communicate with as he doesn't give you the total answer till after the fact. Does not listen very well to his client, nor did he believe in his client/me. Accounting practices leave very much to be desired, missed numerous entries/expenses and the math was horrible. Has a negative attitude about the Judges and failed to counter the Mediator on numerous questionable decisions. Nice guy, just not a fighter.

Dropped a huge retainer and we have not had a single filing completed in time for my family’s case with Leslie Gilberston specifically. Communication is massively lacking. Divorce mediation oversight leaving out notice to let other party know of "late" missed payments. March to June 9th resulted in $28,500 in late fees. I paid immediately when notified. The $150 per day compounding fees added up. Unintentional oversight from changing accounts. I was threatened with imprisonment by opposing counsel Robert Miller/Brewe Layman.

It is so hard for me to build the courage to write what I know my fellow citizens and especially those like myself have held their right hand to their heart every single day in allegiance of the land we love. Aaron took money from me in a family matter. Knowing I am clean as a judge I was hoaxed into accepting an awe full arrangement which has made seeing my son nearly a functional obsolescence. Aaron. barged me near enough to $40,000 and I barely see my son. I do not smoke, drink and I am a good father.
I have since tried to reach Aaron but always seem to end up speaking with his extremely rude and obnoxious phone lady Jennifer.
Jennifer scares me as well. She is so rude and Aaron is one sneaky attorney. Stay away from the crooks.
In my clear purview Aaron is a washed up attorney with no loyalty to his clients. Aaron is a walmart attorney.
I have no fear that Aaron and Jennifer will now try and ruin my life even more. 100% not afraid of that clown.
Hire a young attorney who has not forgot why he/she became an attorney.
I feel as though Aaron was using my money to pay off debts or gambling I do not know what I know is the lack of representation and the amount charge seems criminal.

Although Nathan got me the initial paperwork the amount of money spent was not worth it. He failed to update the judge as required. Failed to submit paperwork I requested him too. Failed to explain billing. Failed to follow the judges order. Always wanted more and more money and accomplished nothing. Then when he wanted an additional 5 to ten thousand dollars and I just paid my rearage and refurbished my escrow he dumped me claiming it was not paid in time. Not true the payment through MI billing recieved the payment the morning of the 30th. Unless you have a fat wallet and can dump tens of thousands on these guys do not use them they are all about money with no results. 20,000 dollars later I get my butt chewed by the judge because Nathan did not do his job then dumped me with nothing to show but a twenty thousand dollar debt. Now I have to redo all of the paperwork myself thanks for nothing Nathan. Over billed with no results.

I hired Laurie, Completed my paperwork within 24 hours. Paid $5,000 in full. Then I waited. I thought to myself... She is a professional, I need to be patient. I waited months and heard NOTHING. While in other courts I was defending attacks from the the person I was divorcing. Finally I called her and she asked if I would be willing to work with another attorney Ian Johnson. Assuring me he was capable of getting a judge to see this case. Well Ian constantly promised (assumed because he said he would do these things) ! He did nothing and $20,000 I've gotten nowhere. It was a very difficult and painful divorce to go thru, and having Bob on my side reassuring me and explaining my rights as a wife was extremely helpful.
