October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. On very short notice, Julie and her team were able to frame and present my case which secured a positive outcome at the temporary orders hearing-- for me to be awarded primary custodian of my children and to be able to temporarily remain in the family home. I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. If you have ever dealt with a truly pathological person you know how crazy they can make a legal case. There is almost nobody who understands the abuse dynamics in family law. I am proclaiming this loudly- Rob Gets It!! My case isn’t done yet but I am so happy Rob has not given up fighting for what’s right. I can’t recommend him highly enough!!

Unfortunately, I've had to use Renee Lee far too many times. First, for my divorce from 2012-2014 and many instances since. She is reliable, determined, and committed. She has done a fabulous job every time that I've had to use her. She almost got me 50/50 custody of my son. I have him 12 days out of 30, and all holidays and school breaks are 50/50. I highly recommend her.

I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move. I would use Jack, Josh and the entire Berner team in the future.

My family came to Jack's Law office with quite a burden on our shoulders and a lot of confusion on how best to move forward. After a few consultations we decided to move forward with his services and I can tell anyone that it is 100% the best move we could have made. We ended up requiring his representation twice and came out on top both times. Walking into Rodi’s office for the first time, I was nervous. I was staring down what was certain to be a long, nasty, complex divorce and I needed to make sure I had the best representation possible. But, I also had to know I could trust and relate to whoever might provide that.
Rodi commanded the room with her presence, nevertheless, she immediately put me at ease. Within no time at all I could tell she understood where I was coming from, what my children and I were going through, and how my ex figured into these things. She got up to speed on my particularly complicated/unique situation extremely quickly, and I knew at once I had an ally. And a determined, smart, experienced, relentless, caring one at that. I knew she had my back from day one.
And she never once faltered. Through the countless, pointless and malicious deviations, distractions, and motions my ex threw up to complicate things; the endless diatribe of slander and lies, the messy and ugly, Rodi was my rock. She – and her equally amazing and dedicated paralegal – gave me confidence, kept me informed, and put everything into perspective. She has a vast history with and inside knowledge of the courts and judges and she possesses a fierce, but steady, demeanor. When my ex failed to even try to make mediation a success, we faced at court time—something both she and I had hoped to avoid. This is actually a tough review to write because truly I have appreciated so many things about Emily and her team. Some things that come to mind are that she would always encourage me kindly and professionally not to waste my time, effort, and money on a battle that I would not win. That being said, when there arose a time that she knew there was something I was passionate about she was always ready to go to bat for me. Another thing I loved about her was her and her office teams attention to detail, my documents always ended up looking very professional and free of typos and although I am a strong writer, Emily is also a strong writer which really helped get the story that needed to be told out there. Emily is truly a unique individual; she is personable and friendly and honest and kind; qualities that can be tough to find in an attorney. I suggest that you learn to trust her implicitly as getting through family litigation issues is stressful enough as it is. I can’t tell you how many times I was grateful to have such an amazing lady in my corner. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Emily Hahn has represented me in two cases, one of which we are still involved in. First, she helped me get a protection order. This was one of the most difficult times in my life. She gave me wonderful representation but her very caring and compassionate nature was what really won me over. Since then she has been representing me in a divorce. I hired Emily from day one she worked on my dissolution case and my dvpo case she is a true hard working and dedicated professional. She has amazing critical thinking skills and is always ahead of the game. She is fiscally honest when billing, honest in her advice and truly very organized. Attending court numerous times I objectively saw many attorneys running through facts and data and flying paper work around. Emily always presented her self as calm and organized, which was amazing. Deeply unprofessional and discriminatory conduct from Theresa Lorella and this firm. Unethical law firm that refuses to provide an itemized receipt. Ms Lorella sold herself as being capable of the most difficult divorce settlements but after 3 months and tens of thousands of dollars later she was incapable of doing even the bare minimum such as get my non marital personal property back. Ms Lorella also engages in bigoted behavior and when her firm disciplined her for the matter she quit the next day in retaliation. If you are a member of any marginalized community you do not want to hire this law firm.
I also believe there was a fraudulent use of funds and Ms Lorella’s relationship with opposing counsel was a serious issue. I do not believe she operated in good faith. Must be nice to collect a six figure paycheck off of the dissolution of families.

Ximena was amazing. She got me started outlining the situation while she looked up the court case details, and knew exactly when to I perfect with a question to get to the heart of the matter. She's incredibly good at multitasking and accessing /cross referencing information. In addition, her long standing in Snohomish County gave her direct knowledge of the Commissioner who heard a previous hearing, so I finally had confirmation of the Commissioner's background and perspective... 1st attorney I've worked with who could do this!
After (a lot of free consultation effort) we finished a basic review she gave me direct and clear information, and then referred me to another firm because she didn't have postnuptial contract experience; she knew about the postnup from the beginning, but helped me to understand my situation better.

A comment that still haunts me 16 years after the divorce. Such a red flag and Aaron shields should have been fired on the spot. During the divorce he said “your kids are young enough, you can leave now and they won’t remember you!” Two weeks later my X said word for word the exact same thing. So Aaron was bought off by my X whose mother worked for her attorney abill Sullivan at the time. Clearly they wanted to erase me from my daughter’s existence. It’s now 2024 X held in contempt 2x, one daughter completely alienated since 2022. I hope people avoid using lawyers like this one because he is nothing more than a used used car salesman- that clearly works for his pocket lining and not his clients best interests.

Divorce mediation oversight leaving out notice to let other party know of "late" missed payments. March to June 9th resulted in $28,500 in late fees. I paid immediately when notified. The $150 per day compounding fees added up. Unintentional oversight from changing accounts. I was threatened with imprisonment by opposing counsel Robert Miller/Brewe Layman.

It is so hard for me to build the courage to write what I know my fellow citizens and especially those like myself have held their right hand to their heart every single day in allegiance of the land we love. Aaron took money from me in a family matter. Knowing I am clean as a judge I was hoaxed into accepting an awe full arrangement which has made seeing my son nearly a functional obsolescence. Aaron. barged me near enough to $40,000 and I barely see my son. I do not smoke, drink and I am a good father.
I have since tried to reach Aaron but always seem to end up speaking with his extremely rude and obnoxious phone lady Jennifer.
Jennifer scares me as well. She is so rude and Aaron is one sneaky attorney. Stay away from the crooks.
In my clear purview Aaron is a washed up attorney with no loyalty to his clients. Aaron is a walmart attorney.
I have no fear that Aaron and Jennifer will now try and ruin my life even more. 100% not afraid of that clown.
Hire a young attorney who has not forgot why he/she became an attorney.
I feel as though Aaron was using my money to pay off debts or gambling I do not know what I know is the lack of representation and the amount charge seems criminal.

Representation was pathetic at best. Ken is very hard to communicate with as he doesn't give you the total answer till after the fact. Does not listen very well to his client, nor did he believe in his client/me. Accounting practices leave very much to be desired, missed numerous entries/expenses and the math was horrible. I hired this attorney while facing extreme crisis in my divorce. She seemed competent on our consultation. After I paid retainer fee she became confrontational, was avoiding me and dismissing important information for my case. Never called me to prepare for our contempt motion. I was the victim of parental alienation in a state that is known for automatically siding with the mother. By the time I reached out for a consultation, I was feeling quite hopeless. Mr. Miller gave me honest feedback and realistic expectations, making the decision to retain him easy.
