After a terrible experience with an attorney during my initial divorce a few years back, I needed to hire an attorney as my ex filed to amend the decree. The ex was looking for more child support as well as to implement other financial restrictions against me.
Needless to say, I was shocked to get served and knew I needed the best representation to protect myself. I was referred to Jane from someone very close to me and I am so thankful that I made the appointment.
From the start I felt comfortable and at ease as Jane examined the case brought against me. She listened intently while providing realistic and valuable feedback as to my legal rights as she explained the processes and next steps.
Throughout the case Jane demonstrated professionalism, communicated open and honestly, and fought for my rights as a father. I never once felt that she was not giving me and my case her best effort. Communication and follow-up/follow through were never an issue which I appreciate so much.
With the help of Jane we won the case by a landslide!!! Child support did not go up, it went down SIGNIFICANTLY!! I also received 50/50 custody of my kids!!! (had expanded standard).
I went into this scared, afraid, and anxious. Jane provided reassurance, guidance, and fought for me and my rights.
My case was unique in that I had a lot going for me, but without Jane's experience, toughness, and overall fighting spirit, the outcome may have been different.

Jane worked with us for 2 and a half years. She was quick to respond, compassionte but honest. My niece was facing a very difficult and complicated custody battle for her little girl; so, my wife and I stepped in to help. We located Dana and could not be more pleased with the choice. He proved to have a depth of knowledge with respect to family law that is equal or greater than the best family attorneys in the area. Our basis for this statement includes both attorneys we have engaged in the past as well as those we encountered from the opposing side. Dana coupled this with exceptional strategy as he applied the law in a manner that stayed one step ahead of opposing counsel. His knowledge and skill, however, are equally matched with compassion and true concern for not only our niece as his client but for her daughter, which was very clear with his exceptional communication skills. I came to Debby with a mound of mistakes through my divorce. She had to undo so many of my mishaps and explained everything in plain English. She let me know all my options, both good and bad, and all she asked of me was to be prepared.
The preparation before trial made me feel confident (although horribly nervous and scared) and I was able to answer the cross examanitation without any surprises at all.

I do not know how this attorney manages to have any positive reviews. I was referred to her by a friend to handle my divorce. She was extremely unprofessional from the start including implying she had her own firm & office. She works out of a small leased business office space & rents rooms at other buildings to hold meetings in cities she actually has no presence in yet advertises that she supports. She has no staff but occasionally brings in a rent-a-lawyer on the cheap to assist her with paperwork she doesn’t want to handle.
She must be extremely successful as a gadfly & social butterfly in Republican circles, SMU alumni circles, various women’s clubs & bar associations. Yet she ran for judge as a Democrat. That’s about how loyal she can be.
She was late to every meeting we had except the first one & frequently rescheduled important milestone appointments. Christy was never prepared. As a rule she waited until the night before to prepare for a court date, hearing, trial, etc. Her appearances performances in court were absolutely abysmal & although she billed me a lot of money she was a complete failure representing my interests. As she has no office support, I did an enormous amount of paperwork, typing, creating documents & trying to get her to set agendas, goals, lists of issues & due-by dates for action items- to no avail. She is lazy. She put the least amount of effort into work although she billed extraordinary rates.
She unethically collaborated with the opposing law firm, where she was once an employee & went behind the scenes to speak to opposing counsel & delay progress. It is ridiculous that she practices law.
