An absolute amazing man and a wonderful staff to match. I didn't know how to use technology when he helped me in my time of need. So this is a few years after the matter. My husband had just passed away and I found out the insurance company didn't want to pay up. My sister referred me to this angel. He got me my husband's policy I was owed. It was a hard time for me and I didn't know how to deal with this part and i was crying uncontrollably . He was so professional, yet an understanding human. He told me to ake all the time I needed, because the thought of signing these papers seemed so final on his death, that it was a realization to me that he was really never going to come back to me. It's going to be 8 years on the 24th of February. Not a day goes by that I remember the kindness that he and his staff gave me, as this was and still is the first REAL loss (close to me), that I've experienced. Thank you cannot begin to express or acknowledge the respect, and love I have for this man and his staff. Thank you isn't enough for the help and genuine thoughtfulness y'all showed me.

I hired Jay Henderlite to be my lawyer for a case involving a relocation with two of my children. He was recommended by my father in law. He was always honest with me from the beginning about how hard it was to win this type of case but not impossible. He was very knowledgeable about my type of case. On the day of our scheduled court date I was very impressed. He showed up overly prepared for our case. He had all of our evidence and pictures neatly printed in notebooks for all of us to see in court (including the judge & my ex & his lawyer). I would highly recommend him to anyone I know in the future for anything involving family law.

My company was downsizing and as a senior employee at retirement age, I lost my job. Knowing that I could not continue paying the high-cost permanent alimony that the court ordered years ago, I needed help. Mr Dorsey and his team helped dig me out of the messy trench my last 2 lawyers had left me in. I can’t begin to explain how bad my first few lawyers had screwed up my case and made me look bad against an abusive drug addict narcissist who could charm the pant suit off Hilary Clinton. Mr Dorsey took on my case and for the first time I actually felt like I could trust my lawyer. Unlike my last attorney who charged me an insane amount of money to screw me over, Mr Dorsey gave me a free consultation and always charged me honestly and fairly. He gave me his personal cell number for emergencies and him and his team were always very responsive to my calls and emails. He fought tooth and nail against one of the most dishonest and corrupt opposing councils I have ever seen! He is well known and honored around Jacksonville and St Augustine by many other esteemed lawyers and judges.

No one really wants to go through any family/custody battles. So when I was faced with this issues I had no choice but to retain an attorney. After numerous hours/days of research I found the Dorsey Law Firm.
I came to Mr. Dorsey with a lot of uncertainty with my impending custody case. During my consultation Mr. Dorsey was fully tuned in and very attentive. He answered every question I had very confidently. After I retained Mr. Dorsey, his team and himself started working on the case promptly. They filed an emergency motion and was able to get a hearing for temporary custody within a few weeks. I was granted temporary custody until the outcome of the final hearing.
In Preparation for the final hearing Mr. Dorsey and the team were with me every step of the way. They reassured me of the potential outcome, instilled confidence in myself and the direction of the case. During the final hearing Mr. Dorsey was very thorough, firm, and fully prepared. His cross examination skills, rebuttals, presentation, and delivery was superb.
As a result, I was grant 75% percent of time sharing. I have never felt better and once again I was stress free.

We were referred to this lawyer by a previous Duval county (Florida) judge after the separation of the unwed parents of a child with the indication that the mother might leave the state with the child and will not return. Florida law does not grant legal rights to an unwed father until paternity, time-sharing and shared responsibilities are established in court.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the result of this temporary hearing, giving credit to Debra and Thomas Treece. We are still waiting for the final hearing and hope that the Treece law team will continue to represent us fairly and honestly.
The Treece law team does not shoot for bashing the opposite party. From the beginning on, it was clear that they want a fair and honest outcome with no lies and only honesty. The reason to seek help was to fairly establish legal rights for the father and do all we can to benefit the child. The Treece law team maintained to fairly reach an agreement and asked for the continuation of the child's primary parent, which is tough to establish if it is the father who performed most parental responsibilities.
One "thing" I would like to mention is that I wish that the Treece law team would be more readily available when the father has an IMMEDIATE legal question, due to the mother using unfair tactics, lies and accusations that are unwarranted. I would love to at times receive a quick, brief legal advise right then and there, though acknowledge that we are not their only clients.
If you are looking for an aggressive lawyer to bash your opponent, keep looking. If you are looking for an aggressive FAIR lawyer, "fighting" for what is the honest truth and the best for the child, you found a calm legal team working for you.

Once my daughter received an order from the court, my daughter interviewed with many other attorneys. They would only allow her to talk with them. Upon meeting Mrs. Treece, I felt an immediate connection to her and Mr. Treece. In my opinion, they are like family to us. They are very approachable as well as professional. I want to thank God that we found Cindi ! When things look grim and hopeless for my daughter and children I believe we were guided to Cindi. It is a rare occurrence for an individual, or a team, to impress me with their knowledge, diligence, service, and expertise, all at the same time. Therefore, I am obliged to commend the efforts of Heather Visali and the staff of the Lasky Law Office. With my divorce settled and just a custody agreement to iron out, I am far from a high priority client for the group, but you would never know it by the level of service and professionalism I receive from the group day after day. In this complex time in my life, my attorney, Heather, has a rare and enviable ability to offer solutions and guidance through this turbulent process for both my near and long term goals. The legal advice she provides for me isn’t mere opinion, but diagnosis and prescription. Over the past two years Heather has become much more than just my “lawyer,” she is my legal physician, who has kept me legally healthy through litigiously turbulent times which included an injunction, a divorce and custody battle. Heather is a legal specialist who goes above and beyond what any other lawyer would care to worry about. I don’t worry about my case, because Heather is doing it for me. An absolute amazing man and a wonderful staff to match. I didn't know how to use technology when he helped me in my time of need. So this is a few years after the matter. My husband had just passed away and I found out the insurance company didn't want to pay up. My sister referred me to this angel. He got me my husband's policy I was owed. It was a hard time for me and I didn't know how to deal with this part and i was crying uncontrollably . He was so professional, yet an understanding human. He told me to ake all the time I needed, because the thought of signing these papers seemed so final on his death, that it was a realization to me that he was really never going to come back to me. It's going to be 8 years on the 24th of February. Not a day goes by that I remember the kindness that he and his staff gave me, as this was and still is the first REAL loss (close to me), that I've experienced. I chose Brian Roberts as my lawyer because, in his words, he "is NOT the type of divorce attorney that pours gasoline on the fire." His intent is to separate two people fairly and as amicably as possible.
I have a 13-year old son who is my whole world. Often there is a misconception that fathers have zero rights for custody and visitation. This is incorrect. Fathers have equal rights, and the state of FL emphasizes the importance of both parents involved in their childrens' lives.
My divorce started out amicably, then descended into hell...as my wife hired an attorney who did nothing but "pour gasoline on the flames."
Brian really knows the law and how to fight the tactics adopted by "bottom feeder" lawyers interested in nothing but increasing their fees.
