I hired Emily as my lawyer. My son's mother and I seperated and she was trying to move out of state with my son. I felt that Emily took personal interest in my case. She always had great ideas, and was always at least one step ahead of opposing council. My case continued for almost two years, and Emily was there to fight for me and my son every step of the way. I would refer others to Emily, and she will remain my lawyer for as long as she stays in this proffession.

Wendi came through when all other attorneys have faild. My ex was neglecting to care for my daughter and for 10 years I had other attorneys charge me an excessive ammount of money with no results. Wendi was able to help me get custody of my child and help get her out of a bad situation. She is passionate caring understanding and treats you as a person and not just another case. Wendi was able to take the stress and anxiety away and help me stay positive during the bad times. This is the attorney you want to have on your side and I will definitely be reaching back out to her if I ever have family legal matters again. In the end, Donna accomplished exactly what we sought out to do. She was able to guide our family through the (often terrifying) maze of attaining custody and ultimately not only keeping my son safe, but also changing his life forever. My son's entire life has flourished properly, the way it should have from birth but was unable to. Grades are up in school, friendships in a solid, safe neighborhood are popping up more than I count, and most importantly, we can raise my son with the security and love that only Donna could allow us. Even so our final court date was quite a ways back, Donna still keeps in close contact to our family. She's so important to us; she has invested so much of her time in our family all for the good of a young boy who was stuck in a dangerous living situation. Donna never performed any work that was less than 5 star worthy. Her attention to detail and diligence in filing her necessary court documents was certainly noticed by my wife and I. We appreciate everything Donna has done for our family. If you ever have the pleasure of consulting in Donna for your legal questions - do it! Accessible. I've only had one other lawyer and my first laywer took days, weeks to get back to me even when something extremely urgent was shaking out. Donna gets right back to you if she doesn't answer. She knows the law and is diligent and thorough on matters that are pending judge's attention. She cares about your situation. She doesn't let the black/white dynamic and sometimes flawed laws get in the way of how important your specific situation is.

When I met Rebecca Simms my husband and I had already had a bad experience with other attorneys and was basically told we had little chance of winning a custody case. From the moment we sat with her, shared our story, reviewed our potential case, we knew she was the one to help us through what wouldbe a four year battle for justice. Rebecca quickly proved herself to be impassioned, dedicated, and brilliant.
Never for a moment did she let us think we might not win, and the odds were definitely stacked against us. When things looked bleak she assured us with confidence. For those years we worked together as a team, she gave us extraordinary support and attention, treating us, our case, as if we were her sole focus. She always had time for us, and we never waited more than a day for a response to any question.
She put her heart and soul into this case. So many moments felt like divine intervention as she put the team of experts into place, but it was her hard work and determination that kept us moving forward. We won permanent custody that led to adoption because of her, her shear expertise and instincts. I know the outcome of our case could not have happened with anyone else, and I am eternally grateful. Beware of working with Rebecca Simms: Following her advice has left me in an unsustainable situation.
Ineffective planner. She repeats over and over - “it’s a marathon”. Rebecca focused on symptoms instead of causes. This can lead to more lawyer time needed with no end in sight to resolve the actual cause of issues. I was on an island most of the time working to create positive changes that would result in less issues in the future.
Her hourly rate is not justified. Her performance wasn’t good so it’s hard to say what hourly rate would be justified. $350 an hour is certainly too high.
Rebecca did not take responsibility for mistakes. When I asked her if she was responsible for mistakes made she filed a motion to withdraw as counsel due to irreconcilable differences. We didn’t have irreconcilable differences. I followed her advice, always. Instead of taking any responsibility she blamed me and quit. I didn’t even blame her. I just asked her if she felt any responsibility for the situation I was in due to her legal counsel, advice, recommendations, etc. It took that little for her to quit.
She never truly represented me or my child. She kept doing what she thought was best. Rebecca may work better in divorce with minimal or no disagreement.
Since working with Rebecca I have seen a continual reduction in my authority/autonomy as a parent while acting for, and displaying nothing but, the best interest for my child.
Make sure, if you don’t agree with language in proposed agreements, even if Rebecca urges you too, you don’t simply go along with it thinking she knows better. Be thoughtful and work through examples of what could happen in the future so language is incorporated that can mitigate potentially bad future situations. One would think an experienced lawyer would be good at providing better future-proof language. In my experience, I didn’t see the results of her advice and direction lead to positive results.
I hired Rebecca to make my life and my child’s life better. She failed to make either of those happen. If I could go back in time, I would have hired someone else or just put the money I spent on her directly toward improving my child’s life. Before hiring Rebecca, ask yourself, can you trust a professional that won’t take any accountability or responsibility for their work. Do you want an attorney that will blame you and quit on you instead of trying to fix mistakes?

I hired Michele to take over my divorce case that was on going, based on her 5 star reviews.
My first encounter with her was us going through details about the process. I provided every single fact/ proof that would determine fair and easy divorce.
She was all over the place on our two encounters, and the date for the mediation was set. She came in UNPREPARED, admitting she doesn’t KNOW my case minutes before the zoom call- mediation was taking place. When the zoom mediation started she did not represent me nor the case but she just agreed on whatever the other party wished for! She left the room every single time between breaks and did not want to sit and talk NOR consult with her own client that happens to be me. But she had the guts to say, CALL ME WHEN THE MEDIATION IS BACK ON!
I was left all by myself in that room that day, not knowing what’s happening, and the lawyer I was paying a tremendous amount of money to represent me, wasn’t even willing to consult nor communicate with her own client!
I faced a severe loss, as she was bothered to present facts during mediation to the opposing party that day.
As the mediation was taking place, she kept shoving all the possible assets towards my x-wife voluntarily, even though I had all the proof and documents stating the assets in question weren’t marital ones to split in two!
After I walked away confused and lost, the divorce was finalized, and I had to constantly beg her to send me either an email or mail me the divorce decree.
And unfortunately, I still had to take care of a minor thing left from the divorce, I asked Michele if she could finalize paperwork, my x wife’s name taken off the deed, ( this issue was a total neglect she could have handled the day of mediation)
I went ahead and paid another enormous amount for her to do a job she failed to initially do on the day of mediation.
Michelle Eisenmenger, my divorce lawyer, you were very expensive for the job you did not do, let alone do the job right!
My case could have been an easy one in comparison, but it cost me heartache, time and a huge amount of money, and time is the ultimate luxury.
It’s takes a lot to sit down and write an honest review as I feel for the people going through a traumatic experience with divorce and families being split, so they chose wisely, yes please, do chose wisely!
I would absolutely NOT recommend Michelle to handle even the easiest, slightest legal matter let alone trust her to handle your family/ divorce case.
It will shape your life in the most uncomfortable direction, because she decides to not break a sweat and learn about her client, learn about the case, so she can present her own client fairly. SHE CUT ALL POSSIBLE CORNERS TO EARN EASY MONEY, she used vulnerability and overcharged and crushed me in the process.

I’d give no stars if I could. If you don’t want to see your child and don’t want an attorney that will communicate with you, then this is your guy. He made it clear to me that the court system works slow. However, he is unable to reach by phone, I sent countless emails with questions that went unanswered, and never even got to meet with him in person. The most recent failure is after I emailed him, sent him screenshots of text messages between my daughters mom and me, stating that we are switching the weekend of when I am having my daughter and it will be AFTER I got off work. So he writes up a motion stating 9am-7pm for me to have my child which made the mother believe I would be off of work resulting in me missing a day. Jason is not to blame for me being in a court situation. However, he did nothing to help my situation other than take over $12,000 of my money. I heard from “my attorney” twice in the last two months and I sent multiple emails asking multiple questions. Any time I tried to call I would have to leave a message and never got a call back.

I was very naive, scared of my husband and knew he would take everything from me.
Ms. Skaggs knew divorce laws and made sure I received a fair settlement in my monthly maintenance, and division of all assets. (Not just the ones my husband wanted me to know about.
Ms. Skaggs would also have an associate handle some of the minute details, which saved me a great deal of money.
We were divorced in under 1 year. Afterwards my daughter finally told me that our divorce was very fair, and that her dad had over exaggerated what the final settlement would be.
I was able to put a down payment in a house, take care of my pets, pay my bills and take a couple of nice vacations.
I have never regretted hiring Diana Skaggs.

My experience with Diana Skaggs is she is only interested in billable hours. I find it appalling that she billed me to read an email.
