If i can give less one star i would do it.
First of all he has no time for new clients and delayed the filling for 6 weeks which made my X kidnapping the kids and give them Trauma.
Didn’t answer emergency calls on time at least if he was busy with courts he would act like professional and let one of his paralegals follow up on the situation.
Asked not to pay transportation for my X and still he decided to make me pay it. ( even if it was according to his experience he didn’t explain i was just forced)
Asked million times to be copied in any communications with the my X lawyer and never did.
I don’t even trusted him for the confidentiality.

Jill Anderson did a great job on representing involving child support and spousal maintenance errors in my original divorce decree. Jill along with her team was able to amend my divorce decree and correct the errors n the original court document. It was more than I could do and it was affordable, quick and professional. Jill represented me but worked with my Ex-wife to get all documents signed and sent to court to be notarized and finalized. I would definitely go to Jill for any family law matters in the future. Because Jill is professional, cost is fair, she is up front in consultation with procedures, cost and time frame.

Scott was my attorney for a divorce that got very messy. Among other things, my ex-wife attempted to relocate my daughter to another city, had me served with a frivolous restraining order, and tried to have our parenting consultant removed after our divorce.
Throughout all of this, Scott provided excellent representation and guidance. Early in the case, he laid out a roadmap for how I would be able to maintain involvement in my daughter’s life and protect her interests. He showed me how I would be at serious risk of losing parenting time with my daughter if I did not make the right choices. As the divorce progressed, things went as Scott predicted, and I now have a custody and parenting time arrangement that is great for both my daughter and me.
Scott was never rattled by anything he encountered with my case. He has deep knowledge of Minnesota family law, and he had a strategic approach to every situation we faced. He gave me wise advice and encouraged me to take the high road. He was highly professional and ethical, and he helped me minimize my legal costs. I can tell that he cares about helping his clients, not just getting the job done.
Another thing I appreciated was that Scott tries to avoid litigation whenever possible. He prefers to settle things through mediation or direction negotiation, and he avoids pointless conflict. However, when my ex-wife took aggressive actions against me, Scott gave strong responses and forced her to back down. He tries to keep things amicable, but he is not afraid to take a strong stance when necessary.
We had only a single court hearing, when my ex-wife attempted to have our parenting consultant removed after the divorce. Scott gave compelling oral arguments and helped the judge see our perspective, even though she initially was inclined to grant my ex-wife’s request. She ruled in our favor after the hearing, and there is no doubt that Scott’s courtroom arguments were key to that outcome.
I feel very fortunate to have worked with Scott in my divorce. I could not have asked for a better outcome, and Scott’s representation and advice are what made it possible. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a family law attorney.

I had a very difficult family law issue regarding my ex-spouse's ongoing parenting plan violations and documented parental alienation efforts on my daughter. I had spent years working w/ past attorneys and family therapists to help ameliorate some of the more destructive effects of my kids' mother's behavior. The clock was running out quickly for any type of legally enforceable remedies - family therapy or otherwise.
Scott promptly assessed my case via his legal assistant and decided that I had run out of legal remedies. I still needed more info so I scheduled a paid consultation. When we finally met, Scott immediately cut to the chase and in just a few minutes gave me a complete and definitive legal prognosis about winning any additional legal action or even getting my daughter into any type of reunification therapy. Zippo chance. I had previously spent thousands working w/ another attorney just trying to get this answered.
Scott correctly perceived that our family issues were far more than legal. He spent the remaining 45-50 minutes of our 1 hour consult giving me some of the best family therapy advice I ever had. He had seen a lot of parental alienation cases and understood the long-term affect on adolescents and parents. He was empathetic. He understood the big picture. I would go so far as to say that single session was transformative. I so wish I had found him at the beginning of my divorce. With Scott, I knew I would have definitely gotten what I paid for.
For all who read this, please be aware that for many going through a divorce, you get one chance to do it right. After that, you can nibble at the edges w/ some modifications but if you don't have a competent attorney fighting for you from the start, you could get utterly steamrollered. I spent more on legal fees trying to enforce a court order drawn up by my original "econo-lawyer" then I did for the original divorce.
Scott knew what I needed and not only did he not try to sell me more futile legal services, he even waived the consult fee. His generosity of time, counsel and spirit made him stand out head and shoulders w/ any other family attorney I worked with over the past 7 years.

I had a one hour consultation with Obi Chukwu to have him review a joint petition for divorce that my wife and I had drafted. He had a lot of great suggestions as to how I could improve the language in the joint petition. He knew that this would be a one-time session, but he was committed to making sure that all my questions got answered to the best of his ability, even though that meant going 15 minutes over the scheduled time. I called A LOT of different lawyers, law offices and law organizations to try to find the best lawyer to help with the I-130 immigration process I was going to begin. Karen was an excellent divorce attorney, and provided great guidance and support throughout the process. This divorce case was extremely long and drawn out, and required a lot of patience on her part as far as dealing with the opposition. My case required an abundance of paperwork, numerous orders and I continued to require her services for several years, dealing with contempt orders, child and medical support obligations, affidavits, and required court appearances. She was very thorough with my case, and always went through every possible scenario with me so that I understood exactly what was happening. Derk Schweiger was amazing in court, and I felt that because of his professional demeanor, articulateness, and sheer brilliance in court, the judge was able to see where I was coming from, and my life situation, my desire to better myself as a man, and my desire to be a father. My girlfriend needed an employment attorney and the reviews seemed overall very good. At my gf's request, I contacted this company and told them to contact her at her number. Imagine my surprise when they contacted me again instead of the number that I gave them. After that, they finally get ahold of her and set up a time for a "consultation" (their words). We get the call on the agreed upon day and it's not a consultation. We, instead, speak with a paralegal, Bernice, who sets up a time to speak with the attorney, who we are told is Nick in about a week. We wait for the agreed upon date, which we were given not a specific time, but instead a window that the call would come in from Nick. Well, we waited and around the end of the window of time, my gf called and was told that Nick would be contacting her soon. He didn't. So my gf called again, now almost an hour after the window of time ended. We spoke with Miguel, who was professional albiet short and not very helpful. He indicated that Nick had some other pressing and thusly could not take our consultation at this time as agreed. My gf inquired as to why we were not given a call to inform us this change. Miguel had no explanation whatsoever. My gf asked when would we be able to speak with Nick and again Miguel was completely inept. We asked to speak to a managing partner and Miguel refused to pass that request along. So, to review, we have waited weeks for a consultation and got blown off with no explanation whatsoever. We can't get confirmation on when we can speak to an attorney or a managing partner. This is easily the most unprofessional and inept law firm I've ever encountered. I get that things happen but communication, professionalism and a willingness to make things right is key.

I hired Drewes Law for a family to family, as-is real estate transaction so therefore a much more expensive realtor was not needed. I hired them based on the other great Google reviews and it was a great decision!
They explained the process in detail and answered all of my questions up front, then got going on the process while always keeping me in the loop. We were working through a family member who was Attorney-in-fact/Power of Attorney for my grandmother, which slightly complicated things in my opinion but it was never an issue for the Drewes team.
Toward the end there was an issue with the county rejecting some filings, to which Drewes Law reached out to me immediately to let me know, but also let me know they re-reviewed everything and told me they were confident there was no reason for the rejection. They called my county the next business day to which the county recognized the mistake and that it indeed should not have been rejected (mistake due to being down workers/having new workers due to Covid). The County immediately approved and I was sent the Deed a few days later. Excellent work and thoroughness by the Drewes Law Team!
David, Annie and Jonathan were fantastic to work with and I would recommend them to anyone needing Real Estate law representation.
