Farah was the second attorney that I hired to help me with my divorce that involved a spouse out of state. She was definitely worth making the change! While going through a divorce is difficult, I found working with her to be a truly good experience. Farah Ahmed is a very capable and efficient lawyer. I chose Ms. Ahmed to handle my divorce because her firm was highly recommended by a friend of mine.
During my first consultation she asked a lot of questions about my situation. She mentioned a few problem areas that she would have to look into, but, at the end, she gave me a good overview of how the case would proceed and how it would end up. Her overview ended up being quite accurate.
Ms. Ahmed is very thorough and organized. She stayed on top of the case throughout, making sure that the necessary documents were supplied by both sides. She does not mess around and gets straight to the point. You shouldn’t expect a lot of chit-chat from her. Nevertheless, she is very pleasant and easy to get along with.
She was able to foresee multiple pitfalls and roadblocks and was able to get around them. Ultimately, she got me to a good resolution. I don’t think that I could have hoped for better.

I can't express how grateful to have Lisa Richardson as my lawyer, what I appreciate the most, is that Lisa always let me know what is a realistic view of the possibilities and outcomes ( though sometimes it was hard for me to accept at the beginning, but it turns out, things go down that route anyway ).
Lisa never sugarcoats anything and her team takes crispy actions to help me fight through this ugly divorce case.
Some people are fortunate enough that they never encounter divorce as a chapter of their life, but unfortunately, I had to experience this tough journey. I truly appreciate Lisa and her team for helping me to get the facts, go through all of this with an acceptable outcome.

Lisa and Team handled my divorce case with urgency and care. The mediation process was easy and upbeat because Lisa and team were prepared, they had prepared me and advocated beautifully for me throughout this process. I have been a client of hers for over a year and she is amazing. She responds to my calls and texts quickly and always makes me feel better. In the courtroom I was blown away by her skill and ability to argue in front of the judge and with her ability to question the witnesses and helping me to make sure my daughter is with me when my wife has tried to take her away. She seems genuinely concerned about what is best for children and truly cares about her clients. I have recommended her to a couple of friends dealing with divorce issues and I would recommend her to anyone going through a divorce or custody issues.

Where to start? Jay and I have been “roughing the seas” for two years with a difficult divorce. My experience with Jay has been nothing but great. The man knows the law and leaves nothing to chance. He’s a very patient but assertive in his doings. Never has he left me wondering about the status on the divorce and his communication is excellent. I highly recommend Carl Knickerbocker as a divorce/family lawyer. Working with him and Amanda helped my divorce run a lot smoother than it could have. As a father of two teenagers, I wanted custody. You can imagine it is not easy. Therefore, the first and most important thing is to hire a competent attorney. After I interviewed 7 attorneys, I immediately hired Patricia. She could quickly catch the main points and understand my pursuit. She focused on clients’ needs and was willing to try it for me. She is very professional, listened to me and provided valuable ideas on how I should present my case to the court. She worked hard and even had a conference call with me on a weekend. Paula, the paralegal, is also very professional. She read all the documents I prepared. She read my Final Decree of Divorce and found more violations of my ex, which I had never known before. She was quick and efficient and always answered my questions in time. The fee is reasonable and may save more than others. They don't itemize the costs of each email or phone call, which may prevent you from communicating when in doubt. If you have any divorce or custody issue, I suggest you hire Patricia.

I found Patricia through an online search when my ex-husband was filing for a divorce. Once I met her and Paula, I knew I’d chosen the right firm.
Patricia provided guidance and support when I was going through a very emotional and difficult time. She helped me understand all the steps in the process and what to expect with each one. She and Paula were available to me by email and phone. Instead of worrying about legal issues, I was able to focus on keeping my daughters and myself safe and healthy.
Since we first met, I’ve had to retain Patricia’s services when things come up with my ex-husband. They understand the law around custody and divorce and all the little details that can easily scare someone in unfamiliar territory.
I believe her fees are reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend her.

Winnie Bates “let me go” as a client after I questioned thousands in charges for time that simply and clearly was not spent, and time that undeniably did not need to be spent.
For example I was charged for her time to send me an email requesting I reschedule a meeting that SHE missed (no call no show). To top it off I had already rescheduled that meeting two days prior. I was billed for both her time and her paralegals time simultaneously through mediation so she could openly work on other cases to the point that she wasn’t even effective in mediation. She didn’t say a single thing in 3 hours that was either relevant to the conversation or to my feelings.
She did however share all her personal and professional correspondence via email, and instant message during those 3 hours because she was sharing her screen. Even after she was warned it was all coming up on my screen she continued to forget I was even in the office. She bad talked multiple in the process, shouting it across the office. It was a show to say the least.
After seeing it in person it was obvious why we had to have the EXACT same meeting 3 different times, not including consultation where we addressed the same facts. It was obvious why the process took 3 times longer than it should have. It was obvious that I wasn’t going to stand beside this bunch while the fate of the most important was decided.
I asked them to stop putting time into my case immediately. Once I had time to look over the charges I requested a meeting to talk about several particular discrepancies, she directly responded by dropped me as a client, no explanations. More than a month later, I get another bill from Winnie. She won’t stop making up things to bill for, and apparently forgotten who I am again, but she’s willing to write off that last bill if I remove my reviews.

Winnie came highly recommended by a former client who had a highly contested divorce. I also had a very complex, highly contested case. Prior to Winnie I had meet with and spoken to around 5 other attorney's before I decided to choose her. Winnie took the time to listen to my story, asking questions along the way and providing feedback. She was able to answer all of my questions and was very straight forward with my expected outcome. I felt very comfortable with Winnie and I knew she had me and my child's best interest at heart. To me her knowledge and experience is second to none and that is what you need when your looking to win a case. Take the time and spend the money on the consult, its worth your time and money.

He is an extremely savvy courtroom lawyer and who I wanted sitting next to me should things get difficult. A total waste of 2 months he did literally nothing!!! No statement in 2 months or even forward my case file to my new Attorney after I fired Leo for incompetence in my opinion!! Paid cash up front and nothing for it but excuses!!!!
Do not waste your money on Leo, he is my 5th divorce attorney I have had, and by far the worst I have ever seen!!!! I took a recommendation from a friend and regret it.

I think we're all in the same pond. Jeremiah I believe has gone far and above what most attorneys would have, especially in my case. In a contentious situation most people overthink and overlook the outcome sooner rather than later. Unfortunately this was my mistake and I felt incredibly emotional and unsure (doesn't everyone?) Really there isn't much to it once you see what goes on behind the scenes. Dolores is wonderful too in that she is a great assistant to Jeremiah. I typically don’t type reviews however, as a Family Lawyer you would have thought Nadia Stewart would care more or even showed interest in helping. Nadia did none the sort, as a matter of fact, she was quite rude when I called to obtain assistance. I am an ARAG member who was provided Nadia’s name as a Lawyer- she seems very knowledgeable and I was excited to reach out her. Once she answered that phone my first impression and excitement went down the drain. Not quite sure the reason why she was being so rude or if she was having a bad day- absolutely no excuse; Nadia wouldn’t let me get a word out edge wise. Long story short, she wasn’t interested in hearing what I needed for a petition my daughter received. I made her aware of the situation at hand and she stated “first of all I charge a $4k retainer fee/$200+ an hour fee and in my past experience ARAG family members cannot be represented”. She didn’t even look at what my ARAG membership consisted of and showed absolutely no interest in wanting to represent my daughter. Regardless of an ARAG member or not show some dignity when someone is willing to pay the money for a lawyer. End result she wasn’t hired and doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

I had seen Nadia work in several different legal cases and had admired her legal knowledge and abilities. I've seen her fight tirelessly for other clients to a successful outcome. I would be in awe of how humble she was after she had beaten much larger groups in court. Anyone in her position should have been screaming to the world about how awesome they were. Nadia would just act like what she just pulled off was an everyday event.
So when it came time for me to find a lawyer, Nadia was the first person I called. Divorce is never easy, even if it's a mutual, amicable divorce. It was at this moment I learned that not only did Nadia have a great legal mind, but she was extremely compassionate to her clients. She's able to fight for what was right, while also showing how much she truly cared. I honestly don't think I could have made it through this difficult time without her guidance. Thanks Nadia.

Nadia Stewart was my counsel when I was accused of a crime. She had no advice for me, and told me not to press the issue or I'd probably be arrested. She asked absolutely NOTHING about my case from me, and totally supported the opposition, costing me my career, even though the investigators/prosecution could NOT have the evidence they hinted at having because it did not/could not exist. Not once did she speak on my behalf, listen to what I had to say, and did not believe me. To add insult to injury, she actually spoke out on BEHALF of the other side during a disciplinary hearing when I was terminated. She told my supervisor (who terminated me) she appreciated meeting with him and looked forward to seeing the supervisor in the future and that she was pleased with the new disciplinary policy. I thought an attorney was paid to fight for you, but I guess I just wasn't able to afford REAL representation that would speak up for me rather than just treading water, collecting a paycheck, and kissing up to the opposition instead of backing her client. Before she was assigned to my case, I had another attorney assigned to it, and within 12 hours, he did more work than she ever did in three months.
She will make grand promises, "I know that investigator, she'll tell me what the details are." "They have had the case for five months so far and didn't do anything, this will probably just go away.", all her professional "insight" and inside information won't help you, because she is (or was) just busy making friends at the cost of her clients. She is useless.

I was very unhappy with the representation I received from Ms Hernandez during my divorce in May of 2020, she gave me very little guidance and no explanation, she allowed my ex-wife's attorney to bully her, causing me to submit a lot of unnecessary paperwork. When I reached out to her to express my discontent she simply never responded I guess because she got her money already.... If you're looking for someone to just show up, she's your gal.

Rachel Hernandez is an amazing and very professional lawyer. I can’t recommend anyone better if you need family law help!
She helped me find success with my divorce. She fought hard for my rights, was very understanding of my military background, and never lost sight of what I felt was ultimately important to me (my son). She is very knowledgeable of the legal system and Texas divorce/family law. She’s excellent in the court room, and can hold her own in any negotiations or case arguments. Rachel will defiantly out do any other attorney(s) in shear will to ensure her clients get what they want, need, and is fair. I was referred to her by a very dependable attorney and a retired judge to represent me in Travis County for a military divorce proceeding, and at first meeting I was very impressed and very hopeful after talking to her.
During the whole of the case, I found that she was very keen and well prepared against my spouse's very high priced attorney(s), and ultimately got me more time with my son, a more-than-fair portion of the divorce settlement, did not waist my money, was always their when I needed to contact her, and gave me the ultimate peace of mind. That is why any time someone needs an attorney in Austin, Round Rock, Williamson and Travis Counties, I recommend they start by contacting Rachel Hernandez first.

I don't like to start things out this way but I don't have enough negative things to say about someone that should be in a professional role and trying to take care of people issues. I'm in the military and was summoned to court, I gave Kevin 3 weeks notice that I wouldn't be able to attend, a day before the court date he decided to act on my information, charges me for $442 to cancel the appearance and to call the other sides lawyer, he's a scam artist. 2k retainer and he's done nothing for me. Be careful and protect yourself, He'll pitch a nice introduction to you but you'll get the worst service and be taken advantage of. He's a con artist that won't return emails nor phone calls. His assistant returns emails after a week or so that are so vague a child could have done so. He doesn't remember specifics about cases and doesn't even seem to check his emails since he always has to refer back to them when asked "did you receive this form or that". This is my first experience with a lawyer and I dread doing so again, I fired Kevin after settling the matter myself with my ex via a one on one discussion, do not give this man your hard earned money.

I hired Mr. Henderson to handle the modification of my divorce which my ex husband filed. It was the first attorney I have ever had to hire. I fell into his sales pitch of all the steps we would take to ensure my ex husband would not screw me over. He made ONE court appearance. During the consultation he promised all these things we would do during that court appearance. Then the day came. He showed up late, and advised me to give my ex husband everything. I sent numerous emails and phone calls the following day to express my upset. I put in writing what I expected of a lawyer and requested that he either work with me or let me know he can not so I may hire someone else. One month he was my lawyer. That is it. One month. He made no court filings, no copies, no mediation was done or scheduled, nothing. When I finally had enough of the lack of communication on my case and realized how much my daughter was suffering by being caught in the mess I demanded to know the remainder of my $5000 retainer. Less than 2 grand is what they claimed I had left. 3500 was spent on what exactly? I cant even afford to hire another attorney now.
