Michael was hired to help with a case involving two cross-border jurisdictions. An amount of undue stress, frustration and mental/financial cost was unfortunately beyond normal, largely due to us having to deal with an extremely dishonest opposing side, whose counsel (a gentleman named Gaurav Bali) in a counter motion was close to facing the judge and get sanctioned due to his unethical/illegal actions on this case (which included them faking the evidence, as well as illegally subpoenaing my former employers and financial institutions). Amidst all of this, Michael was the one who actually helped manage this mess, providing much needed clarity and guidance as to what to do and how to sanction them.
I plan on further retaining (and working with) Michael going forward, and highly recommend him as a person/professional with the highest standard of integrity.

I interviewed dozens of lawyers, and I hired one who was soothing but turned out to be incompetent. She was not only a waste of money, she left me hanging with a trial date that was approaching fast. I had to scramble and thank God Sean was willing to take my case. He does not sugar coat anything. He's extremely professional, organized, competent and honest. He does his homework, talks through all aspects of your case, writes briefs well, prepares you thoroughly for trial, and speaks in court with authority. My divorce started with a different attorney. A firm I will not name here who honestly took a great deal of my money with very little oversight. I received a referral to Sean and I'm so glad I made the switch. You can't prepare for divorce so I was blind sided and hadn't done my research. I wish I had started my divorce with Sean as my attorney. He listed to me and was able to see my side and advocate what was best for me and my daughter. I will forever be thankful to him in remembering all the details of my case. We didn't have to rehash everything every time we met. Sean was so efficient every time we met and also very sincere. He made himself available and he always gave me both sides of an argument and he prepared me every step of the way. I settled my divorce and child custody case with my ex-husband and I feel that it was fair. I wasted so much money in the beginning by not using an attorney such as Sean. I can't tell you how rare he is and I'm so grateful for the time and service he provided.

I am an attorney and am familiar with litigation. I retained an attorney to file a divorce proceeding, and that attorney did nothing but bill me for work that did not move the case forward. Fed up, I was referred to Sean Patrick Joyce. What a breath of fresh air. Mr. Joyce took immediate action, was a great communicator, and effectively utilized his terrific paralegal. In a matter of weeks, Mr. Joyce resolved issues, moved the case forward and obtained a stipulated judgment for me. Divorce is a very personal matter and I had very little knowledge about the legal process. I needed an attorney who understands what I wanted and be able to deliver. I wanted to keep my share of the assets. I wanted to have sole custody of my child. I wanted the divorce process to settle as quickly as possible. I was going through an 'amicable' divorce with my husband and we agreed on how to split our assets. Being a paralegal, I was able to complete and file most of my own paperwork with the court. However, I needed the assistance of an attorney to draft a marital settlement agreement that would be acceptable to the courts and be in accordance with the law. I was referred to Nate by an attorney friend of mine. Nate and I met and I laid out the facts of my agreement with my husband. Nate accepted to work with me on the settlement agreement aspect of my divorce without asking to take over my entire divorce matter. Nate quickly grasped the issues at hand, and drafted a marital settlement agreement accordingly. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of family law, including the laws governing retirement accounts and retirement funds which often become an issue in divorce matters. There were only minor changes to Nate's initial draft of the agreement and we were able to complete the process in a reasonable and timely manner. During the process, Nate was on vacation for some time, but despite being out of state, he would respond to my questions immediately and address any issues that came up during that time. Nate was also very mindful of keeping his legal fees within reason and he never wasted any time in meetings, phone calls or e-mails. I greatly value Nate's legal services, his professionalism, and his knowledge of the law and highly recommend Nate to anyone.

I don’t have a ton of experience with lawyers, but would 100% recommend working with Cary after utilizing him to help with our prenuptial agreement. Cary was knowledgeable, quick to respond, and made the process as easy and straightforward as possible.
Since Cary was my lawyer and my partner had a different lawyer, I can tell you that our experience was one of extreme differences. While Cary was no nonsense, great at listening and modifying the document to support our wishes, and respectful of our timeline- my partners lawyer was an absolute nightmare for us both.
One large difference between the two was that Cary had a flat rate fee and my spouses lawyer charged by the hour. Because of this, I firmly believe his lawyer drew the process out as much as possible, often completely disregarding our express wishes, and did everything extremely last minute- causing a lot of stress and unnecessary anxiety for us all.
That said, Cary did a fabulous job handling working with someone so unimpressive, and I believe is the only reason we ended up with a document at all.

There are a lot of good lawyers out there, but when your child is in trouble, you need a GREAT lawyer, and that's where Mike Silveira comes in. Today, Mike contacted us to share the fantastic news that our son's case was dismissed. This was no easy feat. Our son received a DUI in Nov. 2020, and to make matters worse, fentanyl (not intentionally ingested) was found in his system. We looked at reviews online and we chose Silveira Law based on the great reviews we read. We could not be happier with the outcome. For more than 3 years, Mike Silveira fought for our son, never giving up and doing everything legally possible to have the case dismissed. Kristine was the best lawyer I ever had. She is a wonderful person, and also very knowledgeable with divorce law. She tries to do things collaboratively, and that actually worked very well in my case, as my ex is not the easiest person to deal with, neither was his lawyer who is known to be very aggressive. In this case, trying to be collaborative and civil actually worked quite well , and I was very happy with the outcome. Mine was a divorce because of domestic abuse. Valerie negotiated with my former husband's attorney to get my former husband to accept a 3-year stay-away order without my having to testify in court! It was an achievement I hadn't expected but was extremely grateful for. It truly saved me a lot of anxiety. On the other hand, Valerie needs to acknowledge that older people have more life experience than she does and are frequently more experienced in human behavior, especially their spouse's behavior and thinking processes.

It's never easy to write about or disclose personal information involving Family Law, but I honestly found a good lawyer that performed her work exceptionally, so I feel I should let people know. I screened a lot of attorney's and discussed my personal situation. It wasn't easy re-living the ordeal. I quickly realized that the law is complicated and a lot of lawyers can focus in on one particular area and neglect the others. Other lawyers can hit the panic button and lead you to think that the situation is dire. I was looking for sound advice about my situation according to my legal options. And I found it in Susanne. She really listened and explained the law well. I met with her several times, in her convenient downtown location. This is not something I typically do - writing a review for an attorney - but thanks to an “unhealthy” and highly litigious ex-wife, I’ve had more lawyers in my life than I care to admit. Since I unfortunately have a lot of experience within the family law system, I can say with the utmost confidence that Lorie Nachlis, without question, is the best family law attorney you will ever find.
My case had a little bit of everything but, from the moment I met Lorie during the search for representation process, I knew she could expertly handle it all, and she most certainly did. Family law is an interesting specialty - they attorneys there are your advocates, but also they need to really think about what is best for your family and what is going to be possible within a court system that has the best interests of the children first in mind. And its hard to know what you want and there is no instruction manual about how to deal with some really tough questions and decisions so at best they are able to help you think all that through and reach a good place for you. There are a lot of lawyers out there that may not be the best lawyer for you.
Natalia and her team have been great over the last six years. She knows the court and the court system and was able to explain to me the process, the judges and magistrates, even the mediation process. She helped me understand not just my options, but helped me think about how my choices might affect my family and what might be best for them too. She brought in specialists when needed that were very helpful and informative. She treated my counterparty with kindness and respect even when those things were hard for me to find. She was always responsive and available when I needed her.

After being married for 14 1/2 years and having two teenage boys divorce is extremely complicated. I met with three attorneys, Ross Meltzer being the third. We got started by just talking for about 20 minutes and I appreciated his relaxed warm style. I was hesitant as he is young but I read some reviews which interested me, and sure enough I am thankful I did find and choose him.
He helped me navigate a very tricky situation and in the end I could not be more happy with the judgment ordered. I thought I knew what I was doing in handling it my self and quite frankly did not want to fork over a few thousand dollars to hire a lawyer. What I paid Ross is literally a small fraction of what I would have lost had I not had his insight. His fees are very reasonable and I never felt "on the clock". The amount he asked for up front was more than I expected, but he did not ever ask me for a dime more, nor did I ever feel that he favored getting paid over helping me and my children have the best outcome.
The future of my and my children lives is so much better off thanks to his insights, and expertise. I have completely regained the ability to take care of and raise my children in a safe, happy, and healthy environment.

Ross is an extremely good lawyer. His fees are reasonable and he knows what he is doing. He took care of a custody case that had been started by another attorney but the other attorney botched it up big time. I live out of state and Ross excelled at both keeping me informed as to what was going on and was always available to answer my questions, even after hours. He was 100% honest with me and was a complete professional. I highly recommend him and will use him again should the need arise.

I'm convinced that Ann Riley is the most ethical, competent, and intelligent divorce attorney in the Bay Area.
I interviewed a lot of lawyers and many of them were simply not confident about the law and fairly apathetic. Ann really cares in a way that is helpful. She doesn't waste your time, she is able to be firm when needed, and is extremely logical.
She has a good understanding of the family court system in SF. Opposing counsel was unprofessional and difficult and Ms. Riley refused to engage, knowing that it would cost me more if she did so and that it wouldn't get me any further ahead.
A lot of attorneys like to engage in time wasting activities because they know they can get away with billing you for them - there wasn't a single line item in Ms.Riley's bill that was questionable - she deserved every penny of her retainer.
I wish I had met Ann under different circumstances but I'm really grateful to have met her when I did. She gives me hope that there are still decent and good people who find value in doing the right thing.
