Six years ago I was in desperate need of help after my accident. I was desperate and had no idea what to do. I reached out to this law firm. This was the best decision I have ever made. My lawyer Daniel Ecker is one of the best he has an immaculate talent. Mr.Ecker is companionate, passionate, and extremely helpful. Daniel Ecker is the best, to say the least. Mr. Ecker was the person who helped me through the toughest time of my life. The person who believed in me and wanted justice to be served. I would highly recommend the Douglas Family Law Group. I have come to realize that you either have a horrible lawyer or a great one. I feel the best measure is when they are transparent and show that they actually care. I was first represented by a pro-bono lawyer who wouldn't tell the court my ex-partner boyfriend threatened me, that she caused him 38 lates to school and she didn't have him half the time and she moved out of state without telling me or the court. He just kept telling me " you never know what the judge will say so take the settlement". he refused to even put my requests in the settlement if he felt they wouldn't agree. When I retained the Douglas Family Law group it was a different experience. There was constant communication, empathy and acknowledgment for some of the unfairness that I had experienced. Elizabeth spoke up for me in the courtroom and stated many things that needed to be on the record. Elizabeth put in my reasonable and justifiable requests when engaging in the settlement process. Elizabeth many times had to explain to me what the court pays attention to and what path we can take to present that. I have a great disdain for the family court system and it's practices but if you have representation from this law firm they can professionally and honestly represent and defend your interests in this institution. I, thank them for finally giving me a voice in this arena so that my son can truly have what he needs that serves in his best interest.

My experience with Ivana has been nothing short of outstanding. During the most upsetting situation she stepped right in to ensure I fully understood what needed to be done, what to expect, and how to separate the emotion of what I felt to what legally was possible and necessary so that I could listen to her counsel and "let her do her job," which she did without missing a beat. Her confidence, knowledge and willingness to be available anytime put my mind at ease, and for me this was in many ways lifesaving. Ivana keep me informed at every instance, and to her credit she listened to me "sharing" advice and pressing a bit to move forward with patience and grace.

Ivana was extremely helpful throughout my entire divorce process. From our initial consultation, I walked away with a lot of information, and not feeling as lost as I first felt when faced with this challenge. She gave a clear and honest overview of the process ahead of me.
Upon hiring her, and throughout the process she was always available and extremely quick in her responses to any questions or concerns that I had. She was consistently professional with both myself and with all the other lawyers that we dealt with, even when some of those lawyers were less than professional. In addition to handling all legal aspects of this case in a superb manner, she went above and beyond to help me through this process emotionally - when I would be at my wits end because of the frustrating antics of my ex, she would remind me of the big picture and walk me through all my options to help me feel more in control of the situation.
Not once during this whole process did I doubt my choice in hiring her as my attorney. I felt very supported and guided. I would highly recommend Ivana to anyone going through the divorce process.

Greg Salant was straightforward beginning with the consultation through what was a very long and trying negotiation. I'm glad that he was recommended to me, and that I hired him. His response times are prompt, he's very thorough and prepared, and most importantly - he knows the law. I was one year into my divorce case, my Ex wife had all sorts of false order of protection against me crippling my ability to even see my kids, I hadn’t seen my first son for 6 months and never met my new born until he was 3 months old. My old attorney did nothing, they were money down the drain until Adam came along, in ONLY 2 WEEKS, ADAM knew my case like the back of his hand and ready for trial where he dismantled the opposition and laid all their claims to ABSOLUTE WASTE. Adam got rid of all my Ex wife’s Phony Order of protection by proving to the judge beyond a reasonable doubt that all her claims were false. In another few months ADAM got the judge to give me interim Custody of my kids while OUR DIVORCE WENT ON for another year instead of my ex wife. This man was phenomenal, he brought my case from the grave yard literally to LIFE. I don't often write reviews but my experience with Adam through a highly contested, emotional rollercoaster of a divorce proceeding compelled me to do so. Adam's calm demeanor, steady approach to litigation and solid advice throughout the proceedings allowed me to navigate the mine field of my divorce with confidence. His pragmatic approach was much appreciated as he always communicated potential outcomes which we discussed to decide the best way forward. Went through an international custody case, ex wife a successful attorney. I interviewed 4 other attorneys before choosing Harvey. He was so well prepared. The trail lasted almost 3 weeks and the result was that I became the custodial parent and my daughter who was living in Italy was returned to the US now lives with me lives with me. Carol Most took an approach that was unlike any other matrimonial attorney that I spoke with - she showed care, concern and understanding from the beginning. Ms. Most took the time to understand the case and fully assess the situation before we jumped in - not just review the size of the estate and just begin the process. As my case went from a simple divorce of 25+ years of splitting assets, to one where there was a 6 day trial, carol remained committed and focused. Ms. Most explained the process during every step and provided strategy that was fully discussed before every move. Ms. Most remained open to my thoughts and suggestions, showing a willingness to bend on approach if what I offered was found to be helpful - there was no ego with this firm - simply what will work and what is best for the client. Carol and her partner< Adam Schneid, stayed the course through an absurd trial, filled with now proven false statements and false accusations by a predator opposing counsel. Mr. Schneid is highly intelligent and strong, detailed (to a fault) oriented litigator - They did not stoop the absolutely low level of opposing counsel. They remained focused, sharp, professional and honorable to the end. The result, considering the above, was one where the absurd was tossed out and fairness applied due to their efforts. Ms. Most and Mr. Schneid showed a level or professional that went beyond the expected and provided a level of personal attention and care that was unexpected, but more appreciated than words could express.

I had a very frustrating, and potentially negatively life altering, experience with Ms. Ressler earlier this year. The error on her part cost my family time, frustration, and stress to myself and my children.
I was advised to file a temporary order of protection which involved making claims against family members. Unbeknownst to me, Jessica Ressler has a general modus operandi of being an extremely aggressive attorney, regardless of the situation. Her tactics involve getting her clients temporary orders of protection, involving the police, and using false statements. For those who are not aware, these tactics often negatively impact children. She treats every case the same, and her reputation in the industry is well known as being overly aggressive to the point of being detrimental to her clients and their cases. Further, her strategy unnecessarily involves child protective services who are legally obligated to investigate each case, and each parent, regardless of the accusations made.
Without going into significant personal detail, the filings I made under Ms. Ressler's guidance landed me in the cross hairs of CPS for no apparent reason. The result could have led to a permanent record, termination from my job, and an inability to be involved in some children's activities. When I pointed this out to Ms. Ressler, I was met with vague explanations and no real accountability, nor help to assist me from a legal standpoint. While initially she was attentive to my questions, once this occurred, her communication stopped instead of following up on ways to assist me, as though she signed off from my case. Ultimately, the CPS case was resolved without issue based on evidence provided by my family.
It should be noted that Ms. Ressler was recently formally admonished in court for her tactics and procedures. As previously stated, her reputation amongst attorneys in the NYC metro area is well known, and not well regarded.
I would not trust this lawyer with anything important and would highly caution others to do their due diligence before hiring her. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for legal counsel.

I was advised to file a temporary order of protection which involved making claims against family members. Unbeknownst to me, Jessica Ressler has a general modus operandi of being an extremely aggressive attorney, regardless of the situation. Her tactics involve getting her clients temporary orders of protection, involving the police, and using false statements. For those who are not aware, these tactics often negatively impact children. She treats every case the same, and her reputation in the industry is well known as being overly aggressive to the point of being detrimental to her clients and their cases. Further, her strategy unnecessarily involves child protective services who are legally obligated to investigate each case, and each parent, regardless of the accusations made.
Without going into significant personal detail, the filings I made under Ms. Ressler's guidance landed me in the cross hairs of CPS for no apparent reason. The result could have led to a permanent record, termination from my job, and an inability to be involved in some children's activities. When I pointed this out to Ms. Ressler, I was met with vague explanations and no real accountability, nor help to assist me from a legal standpoint. While initially she was attentive to my questions, once this occurred, her communication stopped instead of following up on ways to assist me, as though she signed off from my case. Ultimately, the CPS case was resolved without issue based on evidence provided by my family.
It should be noted that Ms. Ressler was recently formally admonished in court for her tactics and procedures. As previously stated, her reputation amongst attorneys in the NYC metro area is well known, and not well regarded.
I would not trust this lawyer with anything important and would highly caution others to do their due diligence before hiring her. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for legal counsel.

In an 8 year contract law case, Ms. Alberga was instrumental in an estate case that was dragged from Surrogates to Supreme Court to 2nd Appellate and NY Court of Appeals. Then again on a different issue (same estate) from Surrogates to 2nd appellate. There were approximately 8 decisions for which the courts agreed and affirmed with the facts supported by law that Ms. Alberga laid out in her briefs and summary judgements. Ms. Alberga was not only professional, she was extremely supportive and responsive to questions and concerns. If she needed to followup, she jumped through many hurdles to make sure she was following the law in the best defense of her client. John Pappalardo and his associate, Judith Murphy worked diligently for me for over 5 years through an extremely contentious divorce. Despite the fact that my ex controlled all the marital assets and was willing to spend everything to destroy me, John and Judith stuck by me. My case was also very difficult as we had 4 different judges presiding due to the length of time it took to resolve. Two of the four judges were completely inexperienced and were blatantly incompetent. These circumstances made for a very challenging battle. During all of this, I felt that I had the best possible attorneys representing me. In an extremely emotional and soul crushing time, both John and Judith always made me feel like I was a person worth fighting for. I am incredibly dissatisfied with the legal services provided by John Pappalardo and his team during my child custody case. They consistently ran up the bill with ineffective strategies and failed to properly guide me on the best course of action, resulting in significant financial strain and distress.
Moreover, communication was severely lacking throughout the process, with my emails and calls often going unanswered for days. I felt like I was constantly kept in the dark about important developments in my case, and when I did receive updates, they were vague and unhelpful.
Additionally, the level of professionalism exhibited by John Pappalardo and his team left much to be desired. I often felt dismissed and belittled whenever I raised concerns or asked for clarification on legal matters.
Overall, I would not recommend John Pappalardo's legal services to anyone in need of competent and reliable representation. My experience with his firm was nothing short of a nightmare, and I am left feeling extremely disappointed and let down.

It took me several hours last night to get over the unexpected strong emotions I was feeling from the events of the trial today.
You and your staff have spent hours, days and weeks doing the most thorough job in preparation for my trial, including all those heavy file boxes you methodically carried back and forth to court.
You were superb! You walked into a situation where several meetings with the judge, my ex-husband's attorney and my prior attorney had already taken place. You fought full-force against a judge who believed my ex-husband was ill, penniless and not capable of earning money.
When you examined my former husband on the stand, much to my ex-husband’s dismay, you were able to prove, based on a report from his doctor, that he was no longer ill nor incapacitated as a result of his illness. You were also able to prove he was far from penniless, and had, in fact, spent lavishly on apartment renovations, his dogs, restaurants, travel and other luxuries. You were able to prove he had just received a substantial payment from one of the companies with which he is actively involved. You thus proved he had the means to pay me the court-ordered alimony on which he had been in default of for over two and a half years.
Georgia, you turned a judge slanted to the other side into seeing the true situation. As you know, I have had other attorneys in my lifetime, but never have I had one who did the magnificent job you have done and never have I had an attorney or known a person who is as compassionate and as fine a human being as you.
I feel so lucky you came into my life and I honestly cannot imagine what would have happened to me without you.

After my husband and I went to a mediator for a separation agreement, a lawyer friend insisted that I go to Georgia Kramer, and ONLY Georgia Kramer, before I signed it. Am I glad I did! I cannot imagine what my post-marriage life would be like had I not had Georgia as my advocate and divorce attorney.
At Georgia's suggestion, I faxed the agreement to her, and when I arrived for our first meeting she was fully prepared to help. Her calm and personable manner alleviated much of my anxiety, and her suggestions and advice inspired great confidence in her ability to manage my case.
