My husband and I put off our estate planning for a long time. We didn't know how to find someone we could trust. Thankfully, some friends of ours told us about their experience working with TJ. TJ was very responsive. We initially contacted him through his website and he responded to our inquiry within hours. My husband is a pilot, and it can be difficult to schedule meetings with him. TJ worked within our time constraints and quickly rearranged when needed.

He lacks communication skills, and attention to detail. Every form he worked on had multiple errors, for months. He would make the same error multiple times. He failed to extrapolate key information from our communications which cost me more money when he came asking about it later. He did not communicate by phone but forced everything via email and struggled to explain things in ley terms. He lacked confidence and decisiveness in front of the judge and appeared wholly incompetent.

I appreciated how Ron educated me on the dissolution process. I appreciated that he understood my desire to come up with the most fair, cost effective legal dissolution possible. He was accessible as a person. He has an excellent paralegal who is timely and attentive in her assistance.
Divorce is a very painful process. Ron was sensitive to that fact given his decades of experience. He provided the excellent legal services I needed which made it as easy as possible. I have recommended Ron to others and will continue to do so, if the opportunity presents itself. I was so grateful that a friend referred me to Ron. Mr. Ousky represented me as my divorce attorney using a collaborative approach. After 28 years of marriage I was faced with divorce which was a very stressful and mostly an "out of body" experience. I hired Rod Jensen on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had also gone through a divorce. He made a difficult process a lot better by handling the issues in a professional, calm manner. My ex's lawyer was pushing to go to trial (which would have made her a ton of money at our expense), but Rod knew that would be a waste of money in our case. He worked hard for us to settle the case with mediation. His associate is also very professional and pleasant to work with, and very mindful of the details of our case--she caught some important errors in the other lawyer's paperwork! If you are going through a separation or divorce, I cannot recommend Rod highly enough.

Professionals often come in 'as needed', do their jobs & at the end of the day take home pay for the work - but they don't always know the lasting benefits they've left behind. That motivates me to post this review - as this is a lawyer who went above and beyond in the care he took with my case. The grounding Greg wisely coached me into set the stage for a solid long-term future after the case was over. My experience with David runs counter to Laurie’s. I went through an amicable divorce recently and from the very first call with him I had concerns about keeping costs down. David kept a detailed log of time and never seemed to ramp up costs. In fact, he discounted a small amount of time because we were starting to exceed our higher cost estimates.
David did a good job of balancing minimum required “lawyer stuff” with watching out for my rights and counseling me on protections I could take.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on divorce lawyer fees, make an effort to get along with your soon-to-be ex... or better yet, don’t neglect your marriage in the first place and stay married.

When first working with barb I felt confident cause she took the time to listen to understand my case or so I thought. After 3 -4 weeks it became clear she did not review anything I had sent her and did not have any legal strategy for my case. She will take days to respond to emails if at all, if she responds via email you only get answers to half the questions or more vague responses.
I even got 2 emails from her that were clearly intended for another client on another case. I understand mix ups happen so it was not initially a problem. That is until I responded asking if this was intended for someone else and pointed out how the recommendation made no sense in my case which is why I posed the question. The problem is instead of just admitting to a honest mistake she tried to play it off as if it was intended for me. We of course discussed later on the phone where she admitted it did not make sense in my case. However, this is just one of many examples where what she says in writing does not match what is communicated verbally. I would also mention Barb was not proactive on my case and would only provide updates if prompted but they were so vague and lacking in detail there is no way to verify if anything was done.
Ultimately she was happy to spend time on the phone saying whatever and letting the customer run up a bill but when it came time to perform anything beyond talk like filing appeal or motion or scheduling with the court or mediation ,etc... she did not do much and when I was finally able to get her to perform anything work outside of talking it took a good deal of arm twisting. The experience was absolutely horrible and it felt more like barb was fighting against me then fighting for me. She was the first lawyer I have ever hired so I was not sure if this was typical but I can say after procuring a new lawyer that it most definitely is not.
My recommendation if you hire her is to get everything in writing and if you feel like she is not familiar with your case or not thinking about how to proactively prepare your case or just not living up to what you expect from your lawyer then you should trust your gut.

I retained Niecie M Strand after having 2 previous lawyers in my high conflict divorce. I wish I had retained Niecie right from the start, for she was given a tough situation with a lot to cover in a short amont of time. She went to work, and work she did. There were several times when Niecie and myself would be on the phone discussing my divorce, and she would have an email sent out to me, the Judge and the Petitoner’s side, ready to review, before we got off the phone. I know that sounds unrealistic but it the truth or close to it. She is Sharp, and on top of it in mediation, court or any situation that came up. Niecie also has the ability to negotiate hard on your behave, she’s not just a middle man. She is tough, Gritty, and will go to bat for you. I now set the bar at her standards if I ever need a lawyer again. I highly recommend Niecie M Stand to anyone in a divorce and hire her early.

Not only did my fiancé not get what he wanted! But they clearly seem to favor the opposing side! And to think we paid 3,000 up front for what ?! He didn’t even get what he wanted. And they’re asking for an additional 900$, do not go with Cordell! Was not worth it only thing that can happen is if they can actually give my fiancé his money worth! Doubt that’ll happen though.
