I had a unique case in that my divorce filing was was over eight years old, along with the added compounding difficulty of working overseas as a military contractor. The distance, time away, and time zone differences were definitely challenging. I felt that I received excellent counsel from Martin from what to expect and what would be involved. Martin and his entire staff provided timely updates and rapidly responded to my enquiries and questions. On the day of mediation I felt well-prepared, well represented and was very satisfied with the eventual outcome.
Law services are never inexpensive, but cost is only one measure of value, especially when considering the possible long-term monetary ramifications of a divorce. In that sense, I feel I received excellent value for the cost. This is THE primary focus of his practice, and Martin knows the players involved and the court system around the Nashville area. I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I thought she was great and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'd definitely recommend Tara.

I am so pleased with Ms. Hawley. she is concise, and is truly knowledgeable in her profession. As a woman handling my Mother's estate I started out with an attorney that kept raising the fee. I engaged Ms Carter of the Higgins Firm, to handle the estate of a deceased family member. She was very diligent in resolving all the issues in this complicated estate. It goes without saying that going through a divorce, child custody battle and determining child support is an emotional time that can cause both parents to act irrationally. I remember the day I was referred to Mrs.Gordon I was in a very dark space, 100% depressed, and ready to just give up. Mrs. Gordon listened to my concerns and situations. I had multiple child support cases that were very expensive causing me to constantly fall behind. Not to mention I suffered a major injury yet bills and child support continued to pile up. I didn't know what I was going to do. Needless to say Mrs. Gordon had a plan and she began work on a long and lengthy process. I'll spare those details, let's just say I have never had the experience of having a lawyer that was compassionate, caring, and an just an all around good person. I highly recommend hiring Mrs. Gordon. Not only did she help me get through some very tuff times she got my payments reduced to some thing I can manage. I came in to speak with Mrs. Gordon about a case of mistaken identity on a DNA test. She was extremely understanding and very empathetic about the whole situation. When it came time for court we spoke briefly then she spoke with the judge. When she came back to speak with she informed that I would have to take one more DNA test and she explained my situation to the judge. She assured me that this would be the only time I would have to take another one. Fast forward to the next court date and after the judge does roll call and spoke with the clerk she tells me everything has been dismissed and I'm free to go.

I was maliciously attacked by a room mate that knew ways in which to manipulate the boundaries of the law for his personal spite towards me. Having been referred to by a neighbor I sought out Mrs Gordon for legal help after this room mate filed a false order of protection against me. Upon meeting and reviewing my case, I had instant confidence in her ability. That confidence showed in the court room as in the middle of proceedings, the judge stopped the hearing and dismissed all allegations that had been placed on me calling all charges against me ridiculous.

I hired Megan Zarling to help me with a few family law issues--including an order of protection--in Davidson County (Nashville), and she was outstanding.
First and foremost, Megan was committed and dedicated to my legal cases and was in constant communication with me about them. She responded to my emails and phone calls right away, and always updated me on the status of my cases.

I have gone through a hard year of trying to get a divorce and while my divorce is still not over I would not have wanted to go through this without Tarsila in my corner. She is always fair and has helped to keep me grounded ( even during my many melt downs and freak outs). She always keeps me up to date on all information and is very fact based which I love as I believe a divorce should be about the facts. She will even respond to my many emails after hours and while away on vacation (again even if it's just to calm me down or help me understand something). We hired her because of her reputation for providing the best work for making sure children's best intrests always came 1st. She failed to contact eye witnesses, did not keep us updated on court dates, and became hostile to us in the middle of a hearing. These failures caused a child to be separated from her family for a minimum of 14 weeks. Upon hiring a new lawyer, we discovered paperwork she had never given us and undisclosed meetings with opposing counsel.
