I hired Greg Hildebrand as my lawyer when my husband filed for divorce. I had done significant research and spoke with other lawyers before deciding. My husband has a complicated pension through the City of Milwaukee that required expertise that not every lawyer has. I chose Greg for his professionalism, knowledge, skill and mediator background. The mediator background was important to me to be able to make this process as amicable and painless as possible, while still having someone looking out for my best interests. While my situation did not end in divorce, but rather reconciliation, I feel it is important to leave a review. Greg and his team did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations! They were very responsive to emails and questions. They were honest and compassionate regarding the process and decisions that needed to be made. I never felt pressured or unimportant. My husband and I hired Jonathan after having a dispute with a contractor. This was the first time either one of us had ever hired a lawyer. Jonathan was highly recommended by a colleague and we immediately understood why. I texted him requesting urgent help on a Thursday night as our issue was time sensitive. He responded that evening and by Friday morning, we had hired him. He was able to efficiently gather enough information to start addressing our urgent concern that Friday afternoon. Within the week, our situation was resolved to our satisfaction. His responsiveness and professionalism was outstanding. He helped set expectations and educate us. He was upfront about expected costs for our case and when we ended up exceeding that, he honored his initial quote. We are in the middle of an adoption and he told us to take the difference of the quote and actual cost of his services and apply it towards the adoption. It was not expected and he certainly was not obligated to do this but was greatly appreciated. If we ever need a lawyer again, we will not hesitate to reach out. I have already provided his information to another co-worker.

My job was eliminated after 18 yrs. I was 1 of 3 over age 60 eliminated. Since there were new employees and less seniority employees , i felt i was let go unfairly with age discrimination. Jonathan fought for a new severance contract against the medical corporation and won. He achieved double the severance i was offered per "their protocol" that was unfair. Jonathan was kind, calm, explained what i didnt understand ( which was most legal terminology!) And worked with me as my own advocate. Advising and suggesting. Timely , tenacious ( did not let down his drive to succeed in our goal.) Smart , timely, direct. I consulted and hired him within 2 days of losing my job. Highly recommend Jonathan.

Chad helped me with a speeding ticket. I originally had 4 points taken off my license and he got it down to 0. Through the whole experience he was very reassuring and answered any and all questions I had right away. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to handle the situation professionally. I've had other lawyers before and nobody compares. Attorney Brittain didn't tell me to take a deal because I would lose. Instead, he listened to me and told me we should fight and go to trial. He did a psycho-drama with me and it was amazing. After the psycho-drama, I understood how he was going to win my trial. He is a fantastic lawyer!

Shawn is a phenomenal attorney. When nobody else could help us, we hired Shawn. He conducted his own investigation and upturned the findings of the health department. He proved that my company was innocent of causing a foodborne illness outbreak. He is a class act, honest, friendly and smart as a whip. He understands the food industry better than anyone I have ever met. Even the paralegal he worked with was smarter and more well informed than most of the other attorneys we have hired. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Instead of having to pay millions, which was a foregone conclusion before we brought Shawn on board, we ended up settling for less than $5k. We were innocent and they saved my company.

I consulted with Peter Fox regarding a matter with my previous employer. I was able to meet with Peter in person without a fee or retainer which is rare with so many money hungry lawyers out there desperate to make a quick buck. He was busy with a deposition hours away, yet quickly responded. I needed to respond to my employer regarding a separation agreement within 24 hrs. He spent 45 minutes advising me on the phone to look at the big picture, rather than a quick fix (that would make him more $), showing genuine concern for my long term well-being without immediate secondary gains. Because he was unavailable, he have me a list of several other attorneys and encouraged that I get into see someone immediately. I really like the attorney he recommended. I could not have been more impressed with Peter and would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat.

I was charged with my 2nd OWI back in 2021. John handled my case for 3 years. It took a year for my trial/hearing for the first ticket I was issued. John fought non stop to have my case dismissed due to lack of evidence, and witnesses. The case was indeed dismissed w/out prejudice. The ADA a few days later reissued my ticket. John did not hesitate to continuing handling this matter, and yet again fought endlessly to have this case dismissed due to lack of evidence and witnesses. John was very thorough and caring during this matter, due to myself also going through a serious DV Trial which was the reason for my “OWI.” John worked diligently on my case until yet again, it was finally dismissed with prejudice. John also helped me in navigating how to have this removed from my criminal record/fingerprints. He shared all evidence/information with me, kept me updated, along with always being available to call, text, email. I highly recommend John and his law office, he will fight for you! I had a wrongful termination suit for which I hired Victor. My first question to him was whether it was worth going forward. His judgment was that it was--as it turned out he was wrong in that. But I had to pay for his miscalculation not him. I know there are no crystal balls that can see the future, but what was worse than his poor judgement is that he claimed an exorbitant number of hours which he did not discuss with me and I did not authorize. So not only did he lose my case, but he was consistently slow to respond in a fast moving situation, and I ended up getting over $6000 bill for his unauthorized work. I would only recommend him as a lawyer for somebody you dislike.

I contacted Eric about 4 years ago maybe he was just barely starting but he was the most useless lawyer i have everrrrr met with he dodnt even nnow what to say when he was speaking he took about 20 seconds to respond to their questions and he did nothing in my prt to defend me, he did absolutely nothing, i was devastated because i trusting this man, and i see so many good reviews but why didnt he try even 20 minutes of the court day with my case. While I strongly dislike writing poor reviews, I feel an ethical obligation to warn the public about this law firm. Simply put, John Machulak has no communciation skills. The reason I am giving him 3 stars is ONLY because of his administrative assistant. She is his saving grace. She has fantastic communication skills and an amazing work ethic. However, there is only so much she can do.
There was no strategy meeting, no set goals/deadlines, emails/phone calls were constantly ignored and I was never coached for arbitration. The day before arbitration (while I was trying to board an airplane to attend the arbitration) attorney Machulak expected me to be able to review and go through evidence for the following day. How am I supposed to do this 33,000 feet up in the air? Everything with him is extremely last minute and then he expects you to drop whatever you are doing and respond to him immediately after ignoring you for days. He clearly demonstrated a lack of respect for my time repeatedly.
Billing is extremely confusing. Invoices are very difficult to read, not itemized by hour and not provided in a timely manner. I asked for a current balance the morning of arbitration and he was unable to provide me with one. I asked for paid receipts for bookkeeping and still have not received any. I finally received a huge invoice that I was unprepared for (because it was never communicated with me what he was working on) weeks after arbitration was over.
This past 1 1/2 years have been the most stressful of my entire life and working with attorney Machulak made it twice as stressful as it needed to be. It was a favorable outcome, however, a lot of last minute stress could have been avoided, many billable hours could have been saved, and the arbitration could have been MUCH shorter had he simply held an hour strategy meeting with me well in advance to go over evidence and properly prepare for the day.

I hire ms. Bailey because I have reason to believe that my employer was discriminating against me for using FMLA leave and still believe so. I was Charged $300 just for the consultation. I was told I had to make an immediate decision as to weather or not to hire her. I was told I would not be Charged for such insignificant things as reading emails or phone calls, And that I could make payments of $100 a month for up to a Year.I was charged $1000 for a 3 page form letter to my employer. Like that really took hours? Then They started to charge me by the 10th of an hour for every little correspondence exactly what she said she would not do. $30 to read a 3 sentence Email? $118 for 10 minute phone call $29.50 to save and forward a file That took 3 or4 clicks of the mouse button. $29.50 for for a 1.5 minute phone call. $29.50 for another 2 sentence email. and on and on more worried about squeezing every dollar they could out me than representing me, to the point that I could no longer continue with a viable case. To make matters worse it seams that $100 a month payments that she said would be fine was not. Nola Cross Law firm began to immediately harass for the entire amount. Which had ballooned to almost $2000. Well I got things payed down to $454 dollars when I get a notice from collection associates saying I owe $720 .What kind of math is that! So now I have to File a complaint with the state bar and file for arbitration. So take my advice and never trust your employment concerns to The Cross Law firm or Danielle Bailey. They are only in it for the money and do not care about the client!

A friend recommended Nola as the best but she seems to have declined. From the first phone call I was told repeatedly consultation would be $395. Told this 2 times by Nola and 3 times by various office staff on phone and before and after consultation. Our first session ran over 1 hour as she asked questions sending me off into tangents rather than getting the story out. After 1 hour I asked about what I would have to pay for additional time. She told me "Don't worry about it," but later sent me a bill for an additional $395. She took notes but the typed summary she sent a few days later was full of factual errors. Moreover she refused to give me a straight answer when I questioned how she would proceed or what my chances of winning would be. Rather she made vague assurances that after I signed a contract with her she would reveal her plan. I grew increasingly suspicious of her professional capabilities and after careful consideration decided to look for someone else.
