Our son was arrested by the Atlanta PD one evening in August 2019. I got a call at home at 1 am from the University Dean telling me he was in the Fulton County jail and had been charged with a felony. My son's entire future, reputation and education was at stake and we had no details of the events that led up to his arrest. After searching online for the best defense attorney I could find, I contacted Mr Weintraub at 7 am the following morning and he immediately went into action. He was able to get my son released the following day on a signature bond so that he would not miss any more classes. Over the next several weeks, Mr Weintraub and his fantastic private investigator gathered exculpatory evidence, interviewed witnesses and expertly navigated the case through the court system. Before the end of the year he was able to have the case entirely dismissed. I have no hesitation in recommending Howard Weintraub as a criminal defense attorney and cannot imagine what might have happened to our son if I had not made the call.

Following an accident involving a SUV and 18 Wheel Dump Truck on an Interstate my husband and I were both simply glad to be alive. We were not interested in a settlement just our medical bills, item replacement and reimbursement for the expenses associated with the event to which we were traveling as I was driving a company vehicle. Nick worked with Paul Bartels on our cases. They really went the extra mile in our case. We hired them for a drug / controlled substances case. Well, it was more like three different cases in two different counties, including a probation violation case, a new controlled substances violation case, and a different controlled substances case (where a gun was also found, though it wasn't his, but the DA might have said who knows what). So, this was an extremely difficult situation, with three felonies in 2 counties all being processed at the same time! It took a lot of juggling! And on top of all that, our goal was to get the person into rehab, in order to get better, versus just to have time in jail. They had so much work to do to make this happen, helping to identify rehabs that the judge would approve, that the probation officer would approve, that the DA would approve. Nick and Paul were professional, courteous, and hard working. We are very appreciative.

I was in a bad situation at one point in my life, the Federal Government brought criminal action against me and i knew i had to be accountable for my action. I was looking for a good lawyer who specialized in criminal law, one who has professional experience in a court room and could give me good advice on what i needed to do. Paul was recommended to me when I took my sorority sister to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist for hallucinations. She lived two hours away, had no family and had never been to any doctors, so there was no one to catch the problem early . I looked at the Doctor and said, "ok what do I do now?". He handed me Paul's card and said that he thought I should call him.
Well, this was a Godsend. After talking with Paul, I knew exactly what I needed to do. I now have full responsibility for her and he has been with me the whole way from getting her diagnosed with dementia, to helping with all of the legal paperwork and consolidating the finances (after having to find all of them first!) and getting her moved in to an assisted living home where she is getting topnotch care. Mr. Black took an extraordinary amount of time and preparation with my husband and myself to prepare our Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, and Advance Directive. Brian represented my closest friend in a criminal case where if convicted of her charges she could have faced 15 years in prison.
Through vigorous investigation he found evidence that basically exonerated her .
Brian shared everything with the prosecutor assigned to her case and convinced her to significantly lessen the charges .
In the end my friend plead guilty to a misdemeanour and was not sentenced to any period of incarceration. I was busy the visiting my friends when these developments were unfolding and met Brian at his office with my friend. He seemed to be the most dedicated, professional and actually genuinely caring lawyer I have ever met.

Jerry is a terrific lawyer. My son was questioned by Homeland Security agents on a Sunday of a 4th of July weekend. He found Jerry on the internet and called him. Jerry answered the phone, he was in his office. He met my son that day. My wife and I met with him later and he seemed to understand the process very well. We hired him. What a great attorney. He was knowledgeable, a skilled negotiator, very good in court, and dedicated to my son's case. He made himself 100% available, the guy answers his phone at any hour! We knew that my son was guilty, but after several meetings with the prosecutor and court hearings he struck an agreement. My son was looking at 8-10 years hard time. He is serving 18 months in a prison camp. We paid Jerry a good sum, but it was well spent. I would recommend him highly.

This has been such an experience. The media has an overwhelming amount of personal injury ads here in Atlanta. Even with all that, you never think you’ll need one. I’m glad when I had my accident that the Angell Law firm was there for me. From day one, I have felt that they were always there for me.
