I was in a pretty bad spot. I had, in hindsight, said some things I shouldn't have said had I known the trouble it would bring. Nevertheless, I called someone out for shady activity online and I ended up entangled in a lawsuit over it.
I went to a list of lawyers who were willing to help people in a situation not unlike mine and found Mudd Law. After speaking with Charles he agreed to take my case at a really reasonable price and let me work out a fair payment plan. This case could have financially ruined me for the foreseeable future and I needed help badly.
Mr. Mudd was very helpful and personable right from the first phone call and I was very comfortable explaining the situation and following the sensible advice he offered. I quickly lost the notion I was dealing with a "lawyer" but was instead dealing with a real person who had a personal and professional interest in helping me solve my problem without trying to fleece me in the process.
In the end we were all able to come up with an amicable solution to the problem and it didn't break me financially. I also learned some lessons from my own actions and the guidance I received on how to not end up in a situation like this again, or, if I do, how to handle it better and more importantly, who to turn to if I need real legal console.
Thanks again for all your help. You helped walk me through a nightmare and come out stronger on the other side. I'll never forget your kindness and professionalism.

As a small business owner that made a terrible honest mistake with IRS taxes, we were referred to Lane Marc Gensburg by our CPA .
After a short call and a reasonable retainer amount of 3k Lane started working on my case, getting information about our situation, we were positive we got the right guy! ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is the type of lawyer you need to stay away from, he transfer our case to Michael Gutting from his office, this guy was a total joke, he made us provide all the paperwork we provide Lane again, and of course he charge us for it again, this time the bill come back more than twice the retainer amount, we immediately called Lane , overwhelmed by the bill amount, Lane told us that the majority of the work was done and we should not get anything significant bills, but of course we did!!! Not only that the bills kept coming he also wasn't informed at all of our case progress, I remember we had a conference call between Michael, Lane and my business partner and he didn't have a clue on what's going on with our case.
Not only he was just a very expensive way to transfer all of our business financial information to the IRS agent, we end up worse then before we hired him, the tax agent was pissed and before his office start working on this case, the tax agent was willing to help us with payment plans and was going to recommend reducing the penalties, but that was not the case anymore.
At the end of the day if Lane was honest with us he should take our case as an adviser and get the CPA that freered us to him to provide the paperwork to the IRS.
Again we are a small business and almost 20k fees are not proportional.

Doug Johnson requested a $5k retainer to perform services for my company. After several months - Doug Johnson informed us that he doesn't have the skillset to present motions in court, and that he primarily only works on settlements. He told us he was not willing to take the matter further. He refused to provide a log of hours worked on request, and kept the $5k retainer. As an attorney myself, I would recommend highly that anyone seeking assistance look elsewhere for a more skilled attorney.

I am 80 years old and met with Mollie Whitehead to update my Will as well as review my other Trust documents. I also wanted to have Powers of Attorney set up. Mollie was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She provided a great analysis, answered my questions on estate planning & I agreed she should send me a draft of the items we agreed upon. That process took very little time & with a minimum of editing, we finalized & formally signed all the documents.

Not because we have anything bad to say about this firm, but because we cannot do so without crying. Like many of you, Diane struggles with a debilitating disability. In addition to the struggles that that brings, she’s been burdened with the financial implications that such a struggle entails. After my dad passed away in April 2024, my mom and I filed for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) through the VA. Despite working with a VA liaison and following up for 10 months, we received no real updates—just that the claim was still pending. Then, my mom received a notice from the VA, which she mistakenly believed was a denial of the DIC claim. Unfortunately, even the local VA liaison misinterpreted it, causing a lot of confusion. Given that my dad’s passing was clearly linked to his disability, we realized we needed legal representation and turned to James Comerford.
From our first conversation, James took the time to listen, understand our situation, and guide us through the process. Initially, we thought we needed to file a rebuttal, but after investigating, he discovered the VA had actually misinformed us—the claim was still being processed. He assured us he would follow up, and shortly after, he called with the great news: the claim had been approved. Last year, a company took unauthorized payments 4 days in a row I didn’t know what to do, who to talk to, or if that was even legal. I researched lawyers that deal with such problems and found this law firm. I was a bit skeptical to say the least, mainly due to the fact that I’ve never dealt with a lawyer before. All my fears and worry disappeared after the very first conversation. They walked me through the whole process, collected as much information as I could find, and kept in contact with me. Even after 4 months of no contact they still reached out to me to tell me they have been continuously working on my case and have came to a settlement. Best part was I didn’t have to be burdened with anything so it was no stress involved. Based on my previous legal cases, lawyers from law firms don't seem to do much other than draining my money. So I tried to hire an individual lawyer, yet every one of them I contacted wasn't sure if my case was a consumer protection case or something else and wasn't able to find anyone who's willing to take my case even though I was being accused of something I didn't do. At this point, I was mentally exhausted and stressed out about what I was facing and how nobody was even willing to help me. Until I happened to Google the phone number of the company that was accusing me just to contact the company myself again and somehow "Agruss Law Firm" was the first thing showed in the result and I briefly left a message on the website thinking it wouldn't work anyway. Unexpectedly, I've got a call from Erin who was friendly and passionate about helping me; once she checked out on some more information with me, an attorney Jim Parr took my case; since then everything has been resolved in the way I recommend this law firm to anyone.
I don't know how to thank Jim and everyone who has helped my case. After the experience with Agruss law firm, I feel like there are still good law firms who are willing to help people to resolve their problems.

I am very glad that I came across this agency, they were very professional and most of all able to assist me with my issue It is nice to know that there is help out there for the consumer who is being harassed and treated less than human. At first I did not think they could help me, I thought this was just another gimmick, but I was wrong. My experience with Salvador is that of hope. Salvador was referred to my family and it honestly added hope to a situation for too difficult cope with. In 2015, my parents along with my sister, seemed to had been fighting a losing battle to save a home. Salvador took up my parents' foreclosure case and ensured that he would do anything in his power to secure the best possible solution. Mr. Lopez did an outstanding job assisting me with the foreclosure sale of my home in Illinois although I lived in another state. He was very thorough explaining every step of the process. I especially appreciated the fact that the process was completed in 30 days. I communicated with him via phone and email. I was concerned about having to come back to Chicago for closing and that was not necessary which was a tremendous load off of me given my financial state at that time. I recommend him because he loves working with people and does not belittle his clients or make you feel rushed to make decisions. In thinking about Tom Burke, the three words that come to mind are integrity, character and brilliance. I am in the Construction Industry and had been trying to receive payment from a customer for over 15 months.
