Even during “normal times” the death of a parent is difficult enough. Our mother passed away during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made dealing with her death and financial issues even worse. Since our family had previously sought the counsel of Stephanie Townsend-Allala when my father passed away and we were very satisfied with her legal services we sought her expertise again. When we talked to her about our concerns she took her time to answer all our questions and concerns. She made us feel at ease by her caring and compassionate manner. My family consulted Ms. Allala concerning our Mom's estate after her passing. The State of Texas sent us a Texas Estate Recovery Program questionnaire to determine if the State of Texas had any claim against our Mom's property. Ms. Allala was extremely patient in helping us answer the questions correctly. She answered all our questions with precise knowledge of statutory claim exemptions. I personally had a great experience with both Wes (representing me) and Vanessa’s (assistant) assistance throughout my court case. I don’t recall who I did the initial meeting with, but it was very professional and I couldn’t beat the price. I believe this was the most reasonable pricing for anything that I have needed legal service for in El Paso. I will say initially, I felt as though communication was “far and in between” and I am a person who prefers frequent communication. What helped with me was emailing them both and they would respond to me in a timely manner to my questions. Any questions I had they were both able to answer, and though at times I thought I may have known best Wes would come to me with great reasoning. In the end, it all worked out in my favor. Thank you.
I will add:: We do have to remember that the legal system goes at its own pace and as much as we want things to speed along, the ones who represent us can only do so much in that regard; they are also at the “mercy” of the courts.

I was arrested on 3 felonies in TX(I don’t live there) during the height of Covid in 2020. I called a few lawyers but Brock Benjamin took time to listen, then went over how he would defend me. He has roots & lots of experience in El Paso. He did a thorough investigation of the facts and communicated every detail with me. Whenever I was in doubt or scared or confused, I’d call him & he never sent me to voicemail. It took 4 long years from start to end of my case. Bryan Herrera, took over my case about midway through(Brock is a busy guy & state hadn’t picked up my case 2 1/2yrs in!)& he is nothing short of amazing also! Bryan kept me informed & got me thru anxiety attacks, breakdowns & never was mean or frustrated with my endless questions & concerns. In the end, I didn’t go to prison. State dropped 2 felonies & I plead guilty to 1. I got probation and completed all conditions 6 months into probation. I was able to end my probation time 1 1/2 yrs early! They may not be the most inexpensive attorneys, but when you’re faced with felonies that carry sentences up to 99yrs, is bargain shopping really in your best interest? I’m happy my case is resolved and would recommend Brock Benjamin Law office to anyone who needs a lawyer who knows what they’re doing and will fight for you.

A couple years ago when I was 19 years old I was in an abusive marriage. He beat me in front of my children and that was the last straw. I called this women for help, told her I had no idea what I was doing, that I was young and was being abused. She started yelling at me going off saying I was scamming her and asking for free services. I broke down crying, I felt so alone and defeated. I in no way was looking for “free services” i was young, confused, distraught, and trying to find someone who could help me figure out the process of divorce. She made me feel so awful and alone, I almost stayed in an abusive marriage solely because of this woman. I doubt she remembers me but I sure remember her and now that I am almost 30 I see even more how absolutely vile what she did and said was. I was a child being beaten and when I reached out to her for help all she did was yell at me and belittle me. Ms “Adkins”, I whole heartedly hope you are ashamed of yourself, you definitely should be

I've hired my fair share of lawyers over the years but none of which displayed this level of confidence, resourcefulness and dedication. I like to believe that some people have gifts and are born to be great at certain things naturally and mark t Davis is one of those people. I mean from my perspective he reminds me of sherlock Homles. The way he thought outside the box and handled my case was nothing less then inspiring to say the least and if you actually met him in person he has the demeanor of sherlock homes too, which I found to be comforting in a sense. His staff was also resourceful, great with communication and straight forward. I admire that. In the end I was able to take home a victory in which I wasn't expecting, given the fact of being a man in today's society fighting to be in his child's life and having custody. I can tell you from personal experience mark t Davis and his staff are nothing short of extraordinary.

Mr. Morales was a court appointed attorney for me. When I requested a bench trial, I revealed to him that I have mental disabilities and at high risk for suicide. He told me not to tell him about it, but to seek professional help. I was arrested for a minor offense that has destroyed my ability to work in my chosen profession. He failed to link what my mental disability was like at the time of the charged conduct, and how this limited my reasoning and judgment. He didn't stress to the judge the certainty and severity of my impairment at the time of the incident, in an effort to pursuade the judge to acquit, dismiss or reduce the charge, so that I didn't lose my ability to support myself and retire from my career.

I came to Harvey due to a custody issue. From the start he seemed somewhat competent so I paid over half of the fee up front. I later paid nearly the entire remainder plus over $250 for subpoenas. He was able to get an emergency custody order for me, however the hearing for that was rescheduled and he informed my ex that he should get a lawyer. Little did I know that because the hearing was rescheduled my emergency order expired. Harvey claimed this was my fault and I should have known this. the only reason I would hire a LAWYER is because I don't understand custody laws. My ex got a very aggressive attorney which Mr. Erexleben seemed very intimidated by. We went to two or three cases all which were rescheduled by Harvey. The last case Harvey made every attempt to blame me for the outcome. "I should have know the protective order would cease after 30 days; I should have known I couldn't attempt to modify a divorce decree before a year;" Again, why would I hire an attorney if I knew any of this?? I promptly fired Harvey Erexleben and have since gotten much better legal representation. My new attorney informed me that Harvey CLOSED MY CASE and re opened it without my knowledge! Which has severely delayed my case. I will be doing everything within my ability to at least report him to the BAR. I only wish I had not paid this individual anything up front.
