I hired Kelly to represent me, and this decision was validated every time I spoke with, emailed, or met with him. I would leave his office, hang up the phone, or read one of his email responses and feel instantly better. He was helpful, direct, and respectful throughout the entire process and gave thorough answers to my questions in a relevant way. No games. Straight answers, anticipating I'd make the decisions I needed to make based on my own judgement system and respecting whatever that might be. He was also very personable and sincerely seems to like his work and helping people. This is important!
You'll be doing the work (gathering documents, going through the budget courses, keeping track of communications from creditors, etc.), and you will want someone you can communicate well with and who welcomes your questions. Our conversations would always leave me feeling more optimistic and clear. I'd know what to expect from him on his end and what I needed to do on my end for whatever step was next in the process. His fees are reasonable, and he is clear when explaining them.
Right from the beginning, when I called to inquire about a consultation, the time I spent with him on the phone before even coming into his office was already more valuable than I had anticipated and gave me insight where others had left me with more confusion. While the work seemed daunting and could get emotionally overwhelming if I let it, Kelly was able to put me at ease every time I had any concerns at all. We traveled internationally in November 2019 and had $11,000 of fraudulent transactions made on our credit card. After trying to resolve this directly with Citi for 6 frustrating months without success we engaged Michelle. Michelle and team were responsive and transparent. I felt like I knew what my options were at every point in the process and had enough information to make an informed decision on next steps. Michelle started by trying to navigate similar channels we had tried (lower cost option for me) and when it became clear that wouldn't be effective, we changed course to take legal action which fully resolved the matter within less than 6 weeks. I was happy with the settlement - we were reimbursed for all fraudulent charges, legal fees and a couple hundred dollars for statutory damages.

Unfortunately Bret is the only attorney whose services I have retained, so now the bar has been raised so high that I doubt I will have the pleasure again of dealing with someone so honest and genuinely concerned for my well-being. My son found himself in a terrible situation that neither he nor I ever imagined he would be in. It was devastating, and we didn’t know the best way to proceed. I called two other Oregon attorneys about a YOYO scam I got stuck in buying a used car in Portland and didn't know how to get out of - neither bothered to return my call. I got a return call from Hansen & Walgenkim a few days after leaving a msg briefly explaining my situation and that I was trying to end it without losing more money (I'd put $1700 into a car that became double the Apr and over $125 more per month in loan costs from what I initially agreed to I.e. YOYO scam.
His nice paralegal took my info, he got back to me and offered to advise me on what my legal rights were and what I should do to not be victimized by the scam shop Lot 99 LLC further. So nice!
And, he also was going to help, if his final decision after receiving all my documents/communications was that he would be able to, at no cost to me since I am low income. SUPER nice!
THANKS to Young's help the SCAM YOYO dealership in Portland Lot 99 LLC backed down and RETURNED my $1k loan deposit when I returned the car.
VERY happy to have had his assistance with this issue, and did not have to go to court.

During Vacationing in Las Vegas, my Wife Suffered a Stroke.. Fortunately she pulled through and was able to start a couple of different rehabilitation program.. Unfortunately she was unable to go back to work, however we were very grateful that she had been paying for many years for a supplement Long-Term Disability Insurance... Tom represented me after a bad car accident. I had injuries that required surgery and several months of physical therapy, and was also in the process of moving and starting a new job when the accident happened. Tom served as a kind and patient adviser during a stressful time.
When my medical insurance repeatedly billed me in error for treatment related to the accident, Tom's firm was able to resolve the issue and get my insurance to bill my PIP plan instead.
He negotiated the best possible injury settlement in my case in spite of low policy limits. The driver who caused the accident was covered by a notoriously cheap and difficult insurance company, and I doubt I would have received a settlement without a persistent and competent lawyer.
Tom was respectful of my priorities, in particular making sure that my settlement agreement was not harmful to the passengers in my car, who were close friends of mine who were pursing their own settlement from the at-fault driver's insurance.
Because of the policy limits involved in my case, it was never going to make a lot of money for Tom's firm, but they still provided me with excellent and thorough representation.
I highly recommend Thomas Adams.

Joel has helped me through a very difficult time when I became very ill several months ago. At the time, I only had a general idea of how I would like my will written how I wanted to allocate what I had acquired.

When contacting Mr. Banks I had already been told by another firm that there was very little if any hope for our case...I knew our case was different in that it involved not just investment fraud..but real estate property. I purchased a used motor home and was promised it was in perfect working condition. It broke down the next day due to numerous mechanical problems. I was also told that is had been gone over by the mechanics and was told no repairs were necessary. Even though I knew it was used motor home, Adam Hanson was able to prove to the Judge that I was mislead and there was misrepresentation of the sales person and thankfully, I was able to return the motor home and get a full refund. This was an very unusual case, and thankfully, I had the right attorney that did a lot of work before the court date and won the case.

Jeremiah was amazing, helping me with every part of my case.
