He, of course, provided advice and all of the required legal documents but was very good at providing and explaining the instructions for all of the steps we had to handle going forward (the things that an attorney can't just do for you). Mr. Dahl has been helping me with an employee benefit matter, specifically a disability insurance claim. I was diagnosed with a severe illness and was receiving long-term disability benefits. My benefits were terminated and I had to file an Appeal or lose the benefits. Even if I filed the Appeal, it did not mean I was going to win. In fact, I had been told that a very large number of Appeals are rejected, no matter what the circumstances. Mr. Dahl helped me file the Appeal and we won. My benefits were reinstated. I was referred by a friend to contact Ted Santos regarding a Deceptive Trade Practices Act case with a local car dealership. Ted returned my call quickly and outlined the process in terms I could easily understand. He explained both the upside and downside of filing this claim and process/costs of moving forward.
What impressed me most was his honesty in letting me know that a case like this might be settled quickly or, if the dealership decided that they believed they had done nothing wrong and fought back, the time and costs could spiral quickly upward. Based on this sound advice, I went back to the dealership and negotiated a settlement on my own.
If Ted had not taken the time to explain all my options, I would have not pursued a more reasonable settlement with the dealership. The next time I need good legal advice, I will call Ted.

I recently moved into an apartment unit that had a lot of maintenance issues such as mold, pest control (roaches and ants coming out with the water when turning on the tub facet), and missing/broken/dirty equipment (no bedroom window blinds, dryer plug, running toilet, yellow stained toilet seat, etc). The main issue tho was the mold that wasn’t handled properly by the apartment complex. What turned out to first be black spots on the bathroom a/c vent cover and window, became areas of mold throughout the a/c ducts and system. I had to schedule a mold inspection to find out the apartment management tried to cover it up with a simple spray treatment. Even with all this, the property manager wouldn’t let me leave the unit without paying the early termination fee. I felt hopeless trying to find any information or call someone about tenant rights. That is until I reached out to Ms. Palomin. She was such a relief to talk to about my dilemma and having her there on my side with her knowledge was a HUGE comfort. Thankfully, I was able to break my lease with that apartment complex.
