Price seems high in the beginning, but turned out to be an absolute bargain when their results are witnessed. TJ and his team are aggressive, professional, efficient, and highly respected in the courtroom. They were able to achieve more positive outcomes than I ever imagined, and they never promised anything they didn’t over-deliver on. They were also very clear on status updates, letting me know what I should show up to, and what I shouldn’t. I could not recommend them more!

Mr. Helson works wonders. His prior experience as a prosecutor not only allows him to accurately access the legal hurdles against his client, but it also allows him particular insight into any advantage he might have in defending his clients. I cannot be more pleased with the results Mr. Helson achieved on behalf of my daughter. I could have lost her to the system for many years. She is home now.

Mr. Helson is a very knowledgeable, dedicated and observant attorney. Even though I received him as court appointed counsel, he defended me and fought for me as if I was a high paying client. I don't think he realizes what a hero he is in my life, but I hope he feels it. He helped me get my life back on track when I thought it was over and done with. If you are looking for an attorney who will listen, work hard, and fight for you then I would highly recommend Ron Helson. When I hired Mr. Helson I was facing a third degree felony, a class a misdemeanor and going against a tough court. He provided me with a immediate sense of relief after speaking with 5 other lawyers who did not really want to help me with my case. After I told Mr. Helson the outcome I was hoping for, he fought for more. I couldn't have been more impressed with his representation and more blessed with my outcome. The only time this office was helpful was when they were getting paid. They are definitely one of the most deceitful and unjust firms I’ve ever used. Three months ago I explained to Bruce that I have a horrid baby mother who manipulates and tells story’s on the OFW app to make me out to be a bad person. I explained she was among my life miserable and that I had spent thousands of dollars already trying to stop her from moving my son away. I told him I needed someone to make it stop and to file an enforcement on the matter. He did nothing. He asked for a $3500 retainer and then proceeded to just drag me along as long as he could. My situation was getting worse and my son’s mom was insufferable and wouldn’t quit. I felt afraid and would call and ask what we were doing and all he did was tell me how much he makes an hour. He wanted me to do all the work and give him dates and times, but he would never get to the point of actually helping me. I became frustrated and called screaming and begging him to help me and he said he would need 5k more. I gave him the money and then waited for three weeks …. He did nothing and never once tired to help me at all. He doesn’t care about his clients or anyone’s situation. He takes money and then just drags em along for as long as he can. His whole office should be punished.

Is an outstanding very professional attorney who cares about all his clients,he keeps you updated on every aspect of your case,,I can recall the time I sat in the brazoria county jail thinking it was the end of the world for me,I was dealing with depression anxiety was in need of my medication,Mr.Gifentaner came to visit me in jail, provided me with consultation that put me at ease and before he left he made sure that the jail personnel got me my medication from that day on he gave me hope and understanding pertaining to my case my next court date my felony was dismissed and I was immediately released from brazoria county jail. I called several lawyers in Brazoria County. Most of them took my name and number. A couple of them returned my call but gave me little to consider. When I called Sandy she immediately pulled the public files and thoroughly reviewed the situation. She told me what she thought was the best course of action. Her
attitude and her compassion seemed real and I hired her right on the spot.
Thru the entire ordeal Sandra was available to answer all our questions. Thru phone and text Sandra was always honest, direct, and most importantly she always returned calls and texts immediately. I can't tell you important that was. The previous court appointed attorney would take days and even weeks to get back to us.
What I learned was never use a court appointed attorney. And if you need legal help make your first call to "Sandra Oballe".

Terrible attorneys they will try to convince you to sign a deal, regardless if you’re innocent or not, they don’t care about whose lives they’re fixing to ruin as long as you sign whatever deal they want you to they will not hear your side of the story. They wanted me to sign a “special probation”for a year on something I did not do, I Have no criminal history. I tried to tell them my side what happened three different times. They were relentless. I tried to convince me to take this plea deal. Do not spend your money on these attorneys if you get a court appointed you better beg You get another Attorney.

I am not generally one to write reviews, especially negative ones, but I find it necessary to share this. We could not be happier with the outcome of the adoption process. Everyone involved was absolutely stunning, with the unfortunate exception of our attorney. Rachel Aguilar has consistently lacked any sense of urgency and has been unresponsive concerning our final official paperwork for over five (5) weeks. Many of the answers given before those five weeks were sporadic, vague, and almost completely uninformative.
Correspondence with Ms. Aguilar is handled almost 100% through email with response times frequently taking weeks. There was nearly zero voice-interaction with Ms. Aguilar other than early in the process. She seemed very capable at the beginning, but as we moved forward she revealed one ineptitude after another. Names on legal documents were misspelled multiple times and had to be corrected by myself and my wife. This caused the paperwork to be delayed then rewritten and then finally wrong again with the need to be written a third time. I found it aggravating as a client and as someone without a law degree to have to read through legal documents looking for basic errors that seemed to be missed in haste or incompetence.
Being that there has been no response concerning our case for such a long period, we also contacted the firm’s other partner Blair Parker to ask if Ms. Aguilar is still employed with the firm. We received no response from that inquiry either. Maybe this is an issue with the entire firm as there is no individual that actually answers phones. Again, in our case almost all contact is handled through voicemails and email beyond the initial consult.
This review only offers a very small peak at the aggravation and frustration felt by myself and the members of my family. Their experiences will be shared soon. I don’t need an explanation or any attempt to defend. I don’t need any excuses either. I have every bit of correspondence and the fact that this happened the way it was explained is easily read and demonstrably true. Even if there was a valid reason for a hold in the paperwork, it is indefensible to not share that reason or give an update to a paying client for over a month. The correspondence and expertise offered by this firm is clumsy at best, but most accurately exceedingly scattered and sparse.
There are many attorneys available, so choose wisely.

I was signed her by the courts. Took nearly 3 months after she was assigned to finally get my first appointment with her. All of my issues with her center around a discernable lack of giving a sh** about clients. I only found out about court dates by calling the court. Case should have been dismissed way early on due to the fact that I was obviously being harassed and there was NO Reasonable suspicion or cause for the stop to begin with

I have recently been represented by Carla Post and her associate. I was an inmate and she was court appointed to me. She rarely came to see me or talk to me about my case. She said she was filing motions and then after a month she tells me she is fixing to file the same motions she told me she filed already. She was unresponsive to my questions and blamed her lack of communication with me on sick family members. I never felt I could trust her. She asked for details of my case and then seemed uninterested in what I had to say. I had many questions and got very few answers. Even though she was court appointed she gave very little effort to properly represent me. I had to practically beg her to lift a finger and when she did it was only to give excuses. A good lawyer is supposed to look out for their client no matter if they are court appointed or not.

This lawyer is a joke. Even the bail bond companies laugh when you bring up his name cause they know he is lousy. He will just take your money and constantly not show up to court. It’s sad that lawyers can even get away with being this incompetent

Had a simple misdemeanor charge, slam dunk dismissal due to clean record.
As soon as I paid him some money, he literally went on vacation. I have text messages confirming this.
Only ever heard from him if I harassed him with spam texting, and he usually asked for money when we spoke. Only time he ever approached me first was for money.
I had to look up all my own court info because he didn't keep me informed of anything at all.
When my determination hearing came after almost a year (I had to look this up myself, he informed me of nothing, including the fact that I was required to show up and would have been arrested if I hadn't), I waited for 3 hours, he was a no-show. The court felt bad this had dragged on for so long and dismissed my case! Even the court felt bad because my lawyer sucked! If I hadn't done his job for me, I'd have been arrested!
So technically, by doing absolutely nothing, he got me the outcome I wanted, just took nearly a year. But Christ, if you want a competent lawyer, don't come to Arthur Sims.
