We didn’t know we were being scammed as it was all so confusing. Brian returned my call and said don’t follow their instructions regarding a new “Failure to show up in court scam” He then called the sheriff impersonator who would not give his badge number and hung up confirming the scam. David went the extra mile to make sure I was defended in my lawsuit. He was realistic about setting up my expectations for the outcome & walked me through the entire legal process. He did research on previous lawsuits of this type & fact checked all my documents to ensure I was fully ready for the deposition. David was compassionate towards my situation & worked hard to understand my side of the story. He was able to get a better outcome for me than I had anticipated which I am fully satisfied with.

I was first introduced to Mr. Tafelski years ago as my court appointed attorney. For anyone who doesn't know, a court appointed arrangment is not profitable for the lawyer at all, his fee couldn't have even covered his fuel expenses. It was basically pro bono. Anyway, I was facing a felony possession conviction and did not even have the money to bail myself out. Paul took my case all the way. He brought me a suit to wear to court so I did not have to wear jail "clothes". Paul not only tracked down a witness for my defense, he drove 30 miles one way just to remind the witness of the court date and make sure he would show up. When we went to jury trial Paul was a straight up stud. This guy is money in the courtroom! It was awesome. It was like watching a movie. I couldn't believe it. The bottom line is, Paul won the case for me and I was found 'not guilty'! Haha,Then Paul told me to keep the suit. The absolute best part was the look on the prosecutors face when the verdict was read. It was certainly different than the menacing sneer that she continuously shot my way throughout the entire case. The look on the face of the police officer who testified against me wasn't bad either.
My life has since turned around dramtically for the better and I have hired Paul for everything from my divorce to restoring my license. Someone at Paul's firm is reachable at all times and I have never felt better represented. I have never once felt rushed and people I know are amazed at how much time Paul always spends during consultations.
I will never need any other attorney for as long as Paul practices law and I would recommend him to anyone who needs help.

My case was quite unique in a sense that it was over a decade old. I had a previous lawyer and also represented myself to the Secretary of State without any good results, year after year. Long story short, Paul was able to clear me from the mess I had created in my underage days as I had moved from the state of Michigan and reside now in California. He was very professional and knowledgable with the little information he had on me long distance and handled my case very well. All in all he got me out of my bind and cleared my record. I recommend him for any OWI or DUI case you have.

I hired Chloe for a DUI incident that happened in June of this year. From that day she has kept me updated with the entire situation, kept me calm (which is very hard to do), stayed positive, and above all was a friend through the entire process. She helped me know what to say to the judge, presentence investigator, and probation officer so that my case could be brought to the best resolution. Not only did Chloe slam dunk my case (without a trial), she was at my side with hardly any notice. Family court stuff, in my case, custody/parenting time, is never fun to go through. I was convicted of a white-collar crime and charged with a felony. Mr. Fanego has a thorough knowledge of criminal law and was determined to defend my case. Many years ago I went through an extremely difficult time in life; I interviewed and even worked with several attorneys because of my complex situation. Once I hired Mark, everything shifted to my favor. I was not "off the hook" and still faced consequences. However, Mark worked in my best interest in a fully professional and compassionate capacity. My cheating ex was attempting to file a bogus PPO against me for revenge, as well as initiating a criminal investigation against me for 2 felonies which each carried up to a 5 year sentence and a $2000 fine.
Mark was instrumental in getting the PPO, which was already scheduled for a hearing, dropped and dismissed by the plaintiff. He was also able to work with the investigating police detective in getting the felony investigations dropped by the plaintiff as well.
If you want to win, I would highly recommend Mark for any criminal matter.

Mark represented me on some very serious charges, in a very difficult case. I had been a "model citizen" for my entire life, and now in my 40's I was wrongfully accused and overcharged by the prosecutor. Mark provided an aggressive defense, as well as an honest real life look into the realities of my situation. He worked well in reaching an "acceptable" outcome on the case.
I had worked with a number of different attorney's in my professional life on business issues. Mark came highly recommended. Even though my case was a bit "outside" of Mark's backyard of Oakland County, he had prior positive experience with my judge which I think helped the situation.

Mike has represented me on multiple felony cases where prison time was an option on each case. One case I was looking at a maximum of 14 years. Every case he kept me out of prison and usually kept me out of jail. He will fight for you and is well connected with Oakland county courtrooms due the fact he was a prosecutor there many years ago. We hired this law firm to assist with guardianship and conservatorship. The law firm was wonderful...to start with. This law firm does not help with the entire process. We were asked to withdraw counsel before the first and final hearing for conservatorship. We were told that the law firm does not help through the whole process because conservatorships can last 7-8 years, despite ours lasting less than a year. They left us to complete the legal paperwork on our own. Also, they suggested to create a trust to avoid probate. This was frowned upon by the court because they did not ask the court's blessing before it was done. The law firm told us the trust was not funded, which was not accurate because it was funded with the house, which by the way, had a lady bird and the trust messed this up. We also tried calling Rutkowski about help with probate, despite being a client, three weeks later we had not received a call back. This law firm was originally referred to us. We would not recommend this law firm, unless you want to pay alot of money for bad advice.

I was charged with a felony DUI. I met with attorney Neil Rockind. He explained the seriousness of my case and that his whole team would be working on my case. The state prosecutor was asking for 1-3 years of prison time. The first hurdle was I needed to travel to Europe for a month after my arrest. Attorney Samar scheduled an emergency date with the court. The judge allowed my travel and told me, "The only reason I am allowing your trip is the outstanding reputation of your lawyer, Thank him." Neil's team kept fighting for me several times when court dates arose over the next year. Attorney Colin kept me advised of the strategies, and Breanna constantly kept me updated of any dates and changes in my case. The communication from the firm was outstanding. The prosecution kept coming up with sentences that Mr. Rockind would not accept. After more than a year of battling for me, I ended up sentenced to 24 days in county jail. While incarcerated, I noticed people doing substantially longer jail sentences for charges that were much more minor (misdemeanor offenses) than mine. Neil Rockind and his team have an outstanding reputation in the court room, from the judges to the prosecutors. I felt it while going through the process. Mr. Rockind's fees are high, but the results of freedom are worth every penny! I have been sober for over three years and never plan to need Mr. Rockind's services again. But if you need the best criminal defense lawyer and want the absolute best results possible, please contact attorney Neil Rockind.

Called to defend against a domestic violence case, without delay this law office was on top of everything, I was nervous and worried but they reaffirmed me everything will be fine and handled my case with the upmost care. David Goukassian is exactly the sort of lawyer I needed. Without violating my child's privacy, I can tell you that his guidance and knowledge of the law kept me from making stupid mistakes that would have hurt my cause and pointed out where and what I could do to improve my standing in Court. I received a far better outcome than I expected, my family expected, or my friends expected. If you have an sort of Family Court issue, I recommend him whole heartedly. If you have a case that addresses the cutting edge of some the new problems in Family Court, I recommend him even more. I was in good hands. TLDR: Great Lakes employs attorneys that are not only terrible at their job, but who will overbill you and treat you terribly.
You are doing yourself a tremendous disservice taking your business to Great Lakes. Kim Browning in particular is the single worst attorney I have ever had to deal with. She is both not very good at the legal aspect of her job, nor the customer service aspect.
She ended up billing me 3x higher than her initial estimate despite the fact that the case proceeded exactly as anticipated without any sort of hiccups.
What's more, despite the case progressing exactly as anticipated, she never gave me a clear understanding about what the next steps would be.
Worst, she WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOU. Despite paying her over $10k, she could not bother to respond to simple "yes" "no" emails without me having to send them to her 3+ times.
Please take your business elsewhere. With Great Lakes and Kim, all you'll get is a massive bill and disappointment.
