Carol was the first lawyer I ever hired. She was truly interested in my case and compassionate. Making the decision to divorce someone you still care about is hard enough, and not knowing what to expect compounds the situation. When I would get tearful, Carol was very support and inquired as to why I was emotional and would talk with me about why I wanted the divorce in the first place which helped me stay focused and keep my wits about me. My family retained him to find and receive compensation from a deadbeat tenant in the late 1990's. Dwight always returned our calls quickly. He was extremely thorough in the courtroom. He quickly negotiated a fair settlement that helped us avoid more legal fees. He didn't bill us needlessly and returned a portion of his retainer, too.

Jonathan Scott Smith is the most professional and knowledgeable attorney I have ever met. After a few months of research, I drove almost an hour to ask him to take a case previously held by another attorney. I knew after our first meeting he was the only person that I would trust going forward. The case was capped by my coverage and full of complications. Not only did he take my case, but he also won my case! He counseled me throughout, made it very convenient, fought for me no matter what came our way, even during Covid, and stood his ground. I was consistently kept in the loop of information and prepared for deposition and settlement. He was always 10 steps ahead and prepared for everything, even the unexpected which did arise. His confidence and knowledge gave me confidence when speaking in settlement. Linda in the office is amazing! She kept me informed and answered my questions, along with making me feel better on even my worst and most painful days. I was a victim of a slip and trip accident at a prominent casino. 4 other firms turned down my case. Mr. Smith was my last chance. I am glad I made the call to him when I did. He fully explained that cases like this are a hard win, because the property has to accept liability. He took on my case and was diligent with acquiring all document from my medical providers. This was a long case held up by my very own medical providers, but Mr. Smith persevered and kept after what was needed. All of this while he experienced office staff changes, various paralegals errors combined with a strong caseload of his own. The fruit of the tree came to pass, he secured me a settlement that exceeded my minimum acceptable settlement.... SIGNIFICANTLY.. exceeded. I would recommend this firm and Johnathan Smith to anyone who feels they need a real advocate and someone who will do the work for you.

My girlfriend and I got involved in a domestic violence case a couple of months ago.
We both were foreigners and have no such experience before on how to find a good attorney and how to win the trial.
After some research online and word of mouth, we decided to trust AVVO and trust David.
David was a helpful listener and man of wisdom. He can always point out the key points of our case.
Finally he convinced the state of attorney office that everything was just a misunderstanding and they dismissed the case then.
We both are very happy and appreciate the life we are having now.
David promised that record expunge will also be done in another couple of months.
We really trust him and happy with our choice.

I was seriously injured in a severe car accident last September. Jennifer Matthews Is a phenomenal Lawyer. She worked with me on my Traffic (DUI ) case, and helped guide me every step of the way. She was very patience and understanding of what was a very sensitive case for me (Due to my secret clearance and military background ) . I was worried, and nervous about what was going to happen to me, and I also thought it was going to hurt my career. Jennifer was very discreet while working on my case, which was very reassuring.
Before I decided to look her up, I visited quite a few lawyers to talk about my case, and needless to say they were less than helpful. Most of them made me feel more like a number than they actually cared. I was running low on time and I went to go this one lawyer who was going to have me just take the quick and easy way out (take a deal / Plea), and was going to charge me an astronomical amount to do so. Needless to say I was thinking about just representing myself that is until I came across Jennifer Matthews name on a review website. I was going to give one last person a try, because it was starting to become draining seeing so many people and explaining the case. I started by giving her a call and talking to her on the phone, I already within 5 minutes of talking to her felt a little more at ease. To be honest I was still skeptical though, most of the people that I spoke with on the phone sounded nice and like they cared... at first. I went to meet her in person (still skeptical and nervous) and as she introduced herself and I sat down I felt more comfortable than I did with any of the other people I talked to. We reviewed my case together and discussed what my options were at that time, and what I needed to do to get the case moving forward. She was straight forwarded with me from the start. She didn’t sugarcoat anything, and she put everything on the table. I knew everything from our first meeting, which was nice. I never felt like she was going leave me hanging or charge me extra later. I really liked how she talked to me as a person, not belittling me or treating me different because of my case. I can honestly say I trusted her.
As my court date came closer, she kept in touch on a regular bases and making sure we had everything we needed for the case. I never felt unprepared nor unimportant. The day of the trial she met me at the courthouse where she was fully prepared for the case. She knew what she was doing. She kept in contact with the court the whole time. Oh and not to mention her attention to detail, she found some inconsistencies in the reports on my case, which was for my benefit. Needless to say I would consider my case a huge win and I don’t think it would have ended the way it did with any other person by my side.
I’m sure this goes without saying I would most certainly recommend Jennifer to anyone who needs an amazing defense lawyer. She will be by your side every step of the way, and will not leave you hanging. She is the best, and It would be in anyone’s best interest that is in need of help to look her up.

My son was arrested for some pretty serious charges. I had never had to deal with anything like that before and didn't know where to begin. A friend who had Jennifer for a DUI recommended her. She was amazing! She helped us find a bail bondsman in the middle of the night. Met with us as soon as he was released. She really listened to us and took an immediate interest in the case. She took all the time necessary to explain the process, the court system, everything until we felt comfortable. Bonnie helped me with a misdemeanor offense in 2010. It was a petty first offense and I got off with community service and a small fine. Her fee was reasonable and although she is not normally a criminal defense lawyer she knew her stuff and saw me through to the end with a positive outcome. She followed up and helped me expunge the record. She is a meticulous, helpful attorney who genuinely cares.

My husband and I had trouble finding a reputable attorney, we had met 4. Wayne was the first one willing to put us on a payment plan for the retainer.
