Today was a day I was both dreading, but also looking forward to as I had to appear for a preliminary hearing regarding an accidental discharge of a firearm that resulted in the projectile passing through the wall of my dwelling and into the adjacent one.
I say dreading because of the implications it would have on both my life and career. Conversely I was looking forward to it because I had attorney Alan Ross in my corner defending me.
I cannot say enough about how professional Alan was in how he presented himself and my case during the hearing, and the amount of time and effort that he took to prepare for it. In the end, his thorough research of case law, legal statutes, and presiding opinion, and presentation of such before the district justice was impressive. He was prepared for, and countered the opposing arguments of the district attorney and ended up swaying the judge in our favor to dismiss the case on all counts.
I cannot thank Alan enough for all the hard work, and compassion he showed towards both my case and myself, prior to and including today’s hearing . While I hope to never have to retain his services again, should the need arise he will always be the one I look to engage on my behalf, and if anyone is out there reading this because they are seeking outstanding service and representation, I highly encourage you to call him.

After hiring and PAYING another lawyer, Natalie was hired and actually DID THE JOB the other attorney was paid to do. She had VERY little time to prepare, but you would never have guessed with how well she was able to handle the case. Shawn is a great attorney I was facing 2 years minimum for charges I didn't commit. He was available anytime I had questions, responding to them promptly. Shawb is undoubtedly professional and competent. I took a plea deal to a misdemeanor in a case that started with felony and 2 misdemeanors. But honestly if the legal system wasn't such a hassle I believe whole heartedly that he would have got the charges thrown out entirely.

I hired Attorney Galloway to represent me in a criminal matter. I was charged with assault, harassment, and theft. It was a big misunderstanding and when I tried to clear it up, they wouldn’t reason with me. I was going to hire a public defender but I seen Roy recently in action, and decided to hire him. Roy will fight for you, not against you. He won’t sell you out behind you’re back like a lot of attorneys do. Representation really does matter, He was able to get all the charges dropped at the preliminary hearing stage. If I would have went with a public defender my case most likely would have been still open. As soon as Roy got there he talked to the DA and they decided to withdrawal the charges. Synopsis:
Was found guilty through representing myself. Hired Kayla to represent me on appeal. Kayla did her due diligence in securing the necessary information to prove my innocence. She litigated flawlessly and raised necessary doubt as related to the prosecutions case. The judge stopped the prosecution to point out that Kayla had embarrassed the position of the state, that reasonable doubt was rife throughout, and that the prosecutions witnesses were riddled with holes and doubts as to the truth and validity of their claims. We are extremely pleased with her performance.

Frank was wreck amended by a friend (in the firm) and the interview was set up by him. So we thought what do we have to loose we went to the office and had a conference with Frank. We explained what happened and gave Frank all the information and he said he thought he could something. So we left it in Frank's hands not knowing what the out come would be if anything. I cannot say enough about Shaffer and Engle law practices. At the time I was being accused of something I did not even do by Pa state children and youth services. The case was given to the Pa state police who conducted an investigation into the allegations and closed the case without any charges being filed.
Although I was never arrested or charged of any crime in this case that did not stop Pa state children and youth services from placing me on a state sexual offender list.
When I first met Alyssa Knisely and Jeff Engle they were both very professional and easy to talk with. After reviewing my case they were able to sit down with me and go over all my options. While doing this they were explaining everything in a way that made it easy for me to follow without being caught up in all the legal talk.
Jeff and Alyssa worked as a great team. As Jeff took the lead during the court hearing being able to bring so much into the open about this case.
