Posting on behalf of my friend:
I have nothing but the highest regard for Stilley Law Firm, and especially for Jay O’Donnell. When Jay was first recommended to me, I was in a legal bind which was totally fabricated, and was quite complex due to it starting in one state, and then ending in Missouri.
The state that originally charged me had dropped the charges that were initially brought against me, but my attorney in that state failed to communicate this with me. He also failed to inform me that Missouri had decided to pursue these same charges which resulted in a warrant for my arrest, and then resulted with me in handcuffs while I was traveling with my children. Had my original attorney informed me of the changes in the case, I would have turned myself in and avoided the trauma my children endured and a boat load of attorney’s fees, bail, and other expenses. Although I didn’t know it at the time, none of this would have had happened if I’d had Jay as my attorney in the first place.
When I met Jay on the recommendation of Baptista Bond following my arrest, I told him my story. Jay was engaged, and seemed to really care about my situation. I was reluctant to put my money or trust in another attorney, but a month later, at our next meeting, Jay proved that he had listened and remembered the details of my situation. He had also conceptualized his understanding of my charges and the entirety of my situation. His understanding and knowledge of the law and the legal process would have had me writing a positive review, but he didn’t stop at listening and caring about my situation. He actually understood that the charges brought against me were based completely on the story of the actual guilty party, a known criminal, who fabricated this accusation towards me in order to deflect his own guilt. Jay was a competent and diligent attorney who was able to get every charge against me dismissed. His experience, generosity and professionalism was life changing for me, and for that I will be forever grateful.
I highly recommend Stilley Law Firm, and Jay O’Donnell to anyone with any legal problems. The experience restored my faith in justice and the belief that there is help. They were extremely reasonable, financially speaking, and I can’t say enough about how Jay showed up for me and took this situation of impending doom, and made it a memory I can look at in my rearview mirror. Now I can move on with my life with positive expectation.

Brian represented me on a couple of bullshit ex-parte violations after my previous attorney (Dylan Thomas in Pineville) had done absolutely nothing but kick it down the road for 19 months, hoping it would disappear. Within 4 months of hiring Brian he had the case scheduled for depositions and a jury trial. When the "victim" found out she was being deposed under oath she dropped the charges.

Timothy met with me personally to go over my story. He did an excellent job with my case and took care of things for me without me having to worry about the nitty greedy details. He was able to get my case deferred for a year as it was my first time ever getting a ticket.

I contacted Anita Oakes about injuries I got in a car wreck. She got me policy limits from the guy's insurance who hit me, got my medical bills reduced, and I still have plenty of money for my pocket. Why would you talk to anybody else. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!

I had an appt with Anita about an injury I had at work. Come to find out, I was a lot more hurt than I had originally thought. Ms. Oakes fought for me to get my doctors care and every penny I had coming. She was very patient with me,because many days I did not need legal advice, but I called her anyway because she made me feel better. She also helped me to understands the steps required for a full blown workers comp claim. I am going back to her next week to talk to her about my recent car accident. She is a real lady, who knows how to get the job done!

Hired Hunter after we spoke as he had portrayed a caring and invested attorney who was appalled by the actions of my ex. He was hired to domesticate my order and file contempt for the numerous violations of the order.
He domesticated the order then that was it. He never filed any contempt he allowed the violations to go on without addressing them. He chose to handle the case the way he wanted and not how I had advised him. He did what he wanted and then complained there was a communication failure.
He tried to take credit for setting up a mediation that he had absolutely no part in setting up nor did he do anything of value in that mediation. He then had me sign the order even though I told him there were multiple errors in it. He said it would get fixed afterwards which it never did. He is absolutely incompetent in the area he claims to have experience in

Mr Roberts did a really good job on my case when I called he would answer every question I had and not once try to blow smoke up my skirt, when I like about the man is he would look you straight straight in the eye and give you a good firm handshake when you talk to him, to me that went a long way, hopefully I don't have to use him again but if I do need a lawyer I will be getting back a hold of him, his secretary was very polite and always put me through when he was there and took down messages if I need to leave one. I feel you can't go wrong using Mr Roberts as a lawyer.

Hired Dean for a divorce in April. Ive had nothing but problems getting them to contact me or provide requested documents to protect me in my medical care. Im disabled and was abandon by my wife who took everything including my bed and couch. For over a month Ive called and left voicemails, sent emails that all go unanswered. After researching laws and ethics for attorneys Ive found him guilty of several violations. Even after informing his office in a voicemail I would file complaints with the state Ive still not recieved a call. So Im not very impressed with this man and his staff. I only pray the complaints will get him to represent me PROPERLY and his record reflect the complaints.

Hired MR. Briggs for a criminal case which was a huge mistake since it wasn't his best part.
here is how it went.
1- explained the case.
2- Asked for the fees and was hired.
3- he talked highly of how he's going to win the case and what his plan is and I went home with the idea " he's the best in town'
4- got to court case gets pushed and pushed and pushed.
5- gave him every shred of evidence to have the case dismissed and cleared. but no I was wrong.
Communications is really bad. you won't hear him him Period.
shows up late for court and you have no idea what's been said and done.
Now MR. Briggs offers you to go ahead and take a plea and that's how it will go.
you ask him what have he done so far guess what ? No Answer
what's next Court about ? no information
what going to happen ? no response

In my experience with this attorney and in my opinion, Mr. Briggs's legal advice was horrible for me and I thought his representation in court was even worse. I hired him for a divorce case and he threw me under the bus, I felt, and made a pathetic attempt at negotiating in my best interests. He never fully went over everything with me and he rarely communicated with me. He failed at forwarding documentation to me that was vital for the case. It felt like he was just wanting to get everything over with, regardless of what happened with me, so he could take his money and run. I would not recommend him for anyone.
