John is an exceptional attorney, and you can make out working with him that he is an expert in his field. He is patient with you and is compassionate. He left no stone unturned to get the best outcome for my case which was a dismissal given my multiple collateral consequences. I am so glad I made the decision to go with him 4 years ago. When you find yourself in a difficult situation, Mr. Coniglio and his office is the one to call. I went through an absolute nightmare that I thought would never end, and his office guided me through it all, always reassuring me that i wasn’t alone with all the chaos. He fights for his clients until the end, and although I hope to never find myself in a difficult situation again, I’d recommend him 100%. Very attentive, and literally always there. Anytime of day! John is an outstanding attorney. He listens intently, and comes up with a sound strategy to defend you. And methodically executes on it. Hire him, and wholeheartedly listen to his recommendations and follow through what he asks for, and you will get justice on your side. I was in an unfortunate situation, and was arrested for DUI needlessly. John was thorough in his work, prepared a case and fought for over 8 months to get my case dismissed 10 months from the incident.
He is calm, collected, and has the vision for evolving the case in a methodical way, which is a surefire way to win if you are in the right.
John is also a great human being - I have come to know him through these months and truly enjoyed working with him. He deeply understands the laws, the Monterey county system, law enforcement officials, judges and the district attorney well. He is also well respected by everyone as I have come to witness.

I could make a guess at what his IQ is, but either way I am sure it is off the charts. Matthew might be one of the brilliant persons I have encountered in my lifetime-I feel like I found treasure in coming across his information. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his profession, but unlike some lawyers who are just book smart, he is someone who is friendly, personable, listens to you very well...and is an absolute total shark to boot.
This is someone you want on your side; and boy, do I pity the person who is on the opposing side of him. He took time to listen to my situation in entirety (I called on a holiday that many local attorneys were unavailable on, nonetheless) and he provided me with sharp and insightful feedback. At the end of the call, you almost want him to keep talking, because you learn so much from his wealth of experience.
I told him he should write a book! I would unreservedly use him for any future legal needs. I have worked with dozens of attorneys over the years in a career spanning finance and tech, and he is a gem who stands out amongst them all.

After doing extensive research to find the best lawyer in Monterey County, we decided to choose Lawrence Biegel. He was referred to us by a few other attorneys who revered him as the “best around.”
Not only did I receive a much better than expected result after a lengthy trial, but Larry was extremely upfront and transparent about the costs involved which was extremely reassuring.
I highly recommend Lawrence Biegel as he is an outstanding lawyer who is extremely personable and cares a lot about his clients and getting them the best result possible.

I was a client of Lawrence Biegel during a political conflict with a local politician.
I was, and am, extremely dissatisfied with "Larry" Biegel both as a person and as an attorney.
I believe that "Larry" sacrificed me for his own personal political/monetary gain.
Avvo is a protective site and limits the discussion of debacles.
Suffice it to say; I felt that I did not receive the services I paid such a considerably large sum for.
Nor would I ever again trust Mr. Biegel's honesty or integrity. I believe he violated not only my civil rights but also violated the client/attorney confidence and facilitated injustices and injury upon me.
From my perspective, "Larry" behaved in a deceitful, disrespectful, harmful way and was destructive to me and my interests.
I felt threatened by not only his actions & words but in retrospect I think he manipulated me thru fear and his arrogance.
I would suggest the services of a true quality attorney and not those of such a lawyer like "Larry".
