I contacted Attorney Utley in 2021 to see if he would be willing to represent my fiancé on his mission to be released from prison. I can remember googling lawyers in New Orleans, calling everyone listed and being insulted and hung up on so many times until finally I spoke with Atty Utley. I told him a little background and he told me didn't do post convictions, but with some more detail he'd be interested in looking at it. I can be honest and say there were a lot of odds stacked against my fiancé, which made sense as to why Utley was skeptical of the actual possibility of winning and my love being released from prison. No matter what was stacked against us, Atty Utley faced it head on with patience, integrity, honesty, humility, tenacity, and diligence. For 3 years I witnessed Utley and the DiGulio firm go above and beyond what we could've ever thought to ask for utilizing their time and the necessary resources and contacts to get a favorable outcome for not just the one incarcerated, but for our family, and the other parties involved. With God's favor and the DiGulio firm, the outcome was beyond favorable and better than we could have expected. Community, I would like to give a huge thanks to this attorney. Almost a year to this date I paced together that I was being targeted by law enforcement. She handles DMV matters and our tickets. This is a hybrid review addressing both.
5 stars for texting
5 stars for emailing
5 stars for returning phone calls and actually answering her own phone lines.
I am so happy to have paid her to sit through that unnecessary wait at the DMV.
Got my paperwork, got the registration and everything mailed over via USPS just like the confirmation and tracking number provided.
To be honest, I felt silly because she really knew how to handle the whole situation and nothing fell short and she did everything expeditiously. I was worried for nothing. Okay, not nothing but I needed new documents before traveling and it was done flawlessly.
Regarding the ticket piece:
Got several tickets??? In New Orleans or the NOLA???
Just call or text and get Attorney Ford in the loop on what's going and on watch the numbers drop.
I can't guarantee anything for anyone but I can say we got all our moving violations AND ALLLLLL the CBD parking tickets taken care of for less than HALF of what the city wanted.
Go on vacation...don't leave on probation! Just call Attorney Ford and please say Joyce sent you as I might just need her again in the future since we will return for another convention and try to run off to Baton Rouge. I pray not to get any other tickets but this is the way to go if you do.
Why?
A) Professional and Fast. She said she'd do something she did.
B) She even texted us when she got the voicemail twice.
C) Took no time in following up and getting an agreement in writing after telling us the price.
I said, "Okay" and "I'll pay on the next payday."
She said "No worries. Just tell me the date and time you can meet."
Impressed she didn't try to make us show up when she wanted us. Look folks life happens. You'll get tickets just like everyone else. You'll need someone flexible and can take payment in various forms (e.g. cash, card, Chase Quick Pay) BUT NO CHECKS.
D) Got official paperwork everything was resolved and no holds or suspensions on the license.
She also handles notary work like most attorneys yet I know she will travel or commute within the area.

She also helped me with some traffic problems. I appreciate that I can always call her for advice or a question. If she cant talk to me right away then scheduling a time to talk is always easy. Working with Elizabeth Carpenter and her law firm has truly saved my life, which in the past was entirely unmanageable. In 2020 while I was in active addiction I made the grave mistake of falling into the wrong crowd of people that unfortunately involved me in a high profile case in Jefferson Parish. By some miracle she and her law firm were able to help me retain most of my freedoms and continued to fight for me through the process of probation and ensuring that I got the help I needed to achieve a sober life. This is long and i apologize, but this needs to be seen.
I received a ordinance violation ticket last year and hired Elizabeth after an issue with our previous attorney. She said she would do some research and let us know our options. She never contacted us back, so unless we called her there was no communication. Everytime we asked what was going on, she had nothing. WE did the research, WE did all the footwork. When my trial came she was still not prepared. The DA questioned the officer involved and he had no clue who I was and then assumed I was actually someone else. When Elizabeth went to question him she did not ask any questions regarding what the officer said and bumbled through the entire questioning. Ultimately I was found guilty for a charge that I never did.
My husband in his frustration through this
( his review is here as well anthony beck) contacted her several times regarding the fact she never did any research, or contacted us, she would get short and overly defensive with him. He did tell her flat out that during this time she did nothing which is the truth.
In court she told me he was a "scary, horrible abusive man" and she "feels sorry for me".
She responded to his review with half truths and messaged me demanding he remove his review, again saying that she feels sorry for me living with "such a horrible abusive man" which he is definitely not.

From day 1 to the end of my trial, I could not have pictured a more perfect experience or attorney to help me battle through the criminal justice system. From the initial consultation I could tell right away that Mr. Hufft was going to be the right choice. Throughout the entire legal process, Mr. Hufft was always responsive with detailed answers to every question-and I had many. Before practicing criminal defense, Mr. Hufft practiced as an assistant District Attorney. This provides him with a unique and knowledgable perspective that not many criminal attorneys can provide. He is able to look at the criminal justice legal process from both sides, providing a better chance of success for his clients. He was there for me every and anytime I needed guidance, a question answered or my nerves calmed. The day before my trial, Mr. Jufft went out of his way to go over every piece of information and evidence that would be presented. Even though extremely busy, he spent hours with me until well past both of our bedtimes to ensure that there was nothing uncovered. During the actual trial, Mr. Hufft did a masterful job of presenting the evidence to the judge and tying it to together to reach my eventual not guilty verdict. I live far out-of-state and had an old (but minor) traffic violation ticket that needed to be cleared from my license *in-person*. Obviously, this was not going to be possible for me to travel to NOLA, so I contacted Seth about appearing for me in court to resolve this matter.

My case against me from alleged nursing issues I was accused of took over 5 years for the board to even look at apparently so I must have really been a menace to patients and my profession.
