Travelling from a recreational state to Kansas and was stopped by the police(racial profiling) and had a good amount of edibles and marijuana for personal use. Was detained and received a number from an attorney from one of the staff who worked at the compound where my vehicle was towed who was charging 3X the amount of what I paid for so my wife decided to get online and find an attorney and she found Attorney Leininger and his resume is impeccable. I was stressing so much as I do not live in that state and was facing jail time and was in jeopardy of losing employment. After speaking with him, I was able to set up a payment plan and his assistant Katie is amazing. I was late one time and was able to continue to receive services. I didn't feel the need to worry or really call as my much because my wife wanted me to check in almost every week and there was no need to because that's how much I had faith in him due to the emails and conversations I would have with him and sure enough, when it was time to go to court, all I had to do was zoom in and the outcome was to pay a probation cost and complete a substance abuse evaluation and THAT'S IT.....NOTHING ELSE. He's the truth and this is not my first rodeo unfortunately dealing with this system. Kudos to my wife for finding him and kudos to the whole staff and if he ever reads this, THANK YOU AGAIN.

I was pulled over for speeding (most likely legit), and ultimately arrested for DUI as well. After meeting with the prosecutor a couple times through the court process and reviewing Paul's motions, evidence, etc. the prosecutor dismissed the DUI charge. Paul was also able to get the speeding ticket dismissed via a paid dismissal, and both charges expunged as well (since the case linked both charges, the DUI could only be expunged immediately if both were, so the prosecutor agreed to expunge the whole case). Paul was very knowledgeable, aggressive, and the final outcome was the best possible outcome. Highly recommend.

I have never particularly been in any substantial trouble with the law, but last year my life nearly turned upside down when I was faced with a false sexual battery accusation that would have left me, an innocent law abiding man, with over a decade on the sex offender registry had it not been for the exemplary support of Jerry Merril. Not only did Jerry go absolutely above and beyond to cover every possible issue in my case, spending countless hours going through piles of evidence, conducting investigations and research, coordinating work with experts, filing strategic motions, etc., but gave me an absolute steal of a deal in fees that essentially ended up equaling the value of three lawyers for the price of one. Jerry is a diligent, compassionate, and committed lawyer. I got into some trouble for the first time in my life (I am in my 5th decade) and he understood that the only fair outcome for my case was complete and utter eradication of the charges. He didn't promise that but said in certain cases that could be achieved. I had interviewed another attorney prior to meeting Jerry who I am sure would have been competent, but I don't believe would have gone the extra mile that Jerry went to acheive my goal of expungement. Not only did he achieve that goal but he kept me informed every step of the way so as to reduce my anxiety. He thinks outside the box so that in working the complex and frightening criminal justice system, I was not left to become a statistic but an innocent vindicated citizen. This firm is knowingly contributing the deprivations of rights and it can be seen in United States District of Kansas case 2:23-CV02176, in which Partner Christopher T Wilson is being sued for his lead against the best interest of children. My children. Re:Wilson was just faxed to the State Disciplinary Administrator and affirmative from the Court in Judge ruling 7/14/23 case 18CV03813 shows that Wilson knowingly broke rules of the court. When a second October 24 2022 judge ruling warned Wilson to stop breaking rules of the court. Don't use this firm, that are not only negligent, they are dangerous to children's best interest. I was stopped for a DUI in that state of Missouri in the summer of 2018. I live in Kansas so I was not aware of the process of living in another state while in trouble in another. I was placed under arrest and went to jail. After I was released I found attorney Paul Burmaster through a ton of research on finding the best lawyer for my case. After meeting with him I knew this was the man to represent me and my case. Im glad I did. I had 2 court hearings to overcome and try and win my case. The first was the circuit court for keeping my drivers license. Long story short...We won by a judges ruling and I was able to keep my license and not go on any record or take a insurance hit. The 2nd court hearing I had to attend was for the criminal side of it with the KCMO Municipal Court. Prior to this Paul had came up with the best plan to represent and fight my case before going into the court room. I was always aware and kept in contact at all times of these hearings so I was fully aware of what was going on at all times. The day of the court hearing with the judge, prosecutor, and two police officers I knew what was going on during my trial keeping me in more of a calm state of mind knowing I had a good fighting chance to win. This helped me keep focused and my stress low at a time like this. During this trial I observed Paul being very organized and two steps ahead of everyone in the court room. With his knowledge and aggressive skill set we were able to win my case and was dismissed. I was very pleased with the outcome and would recommend this attorney to anyone. He will stand up for you and your rights to deliver the best outcome of any case that is brought to him. Thanks Again.

Jay Norton is the best attorney money can buy in Kansas City to defend you in your DUI - DWI case. I literally called 6 attorneys in the area based off of online reviews and 4 of the 6 recommended Jay - one even went as far as to say that they would hire Jay if they had a DUI - and this is someone that defends people in DUI cases themselves! Regardless of your arrest circumstances, his intimate knowledge of the law and supporting literature around DUI cases is second to none. He wrote the book of defending DUI cases in KC. In my case, Jay was able to systematically argue that there was a definite lack of probable cause for my arrest even though I blew a BAC over the legal limit. Essentially, the officer had no right to place me under arrest given I had arguably "passed" the field sobriety tests. Any case is hard to win against the state, but Jay made it nearly impossible to convict me given the facts he argued so well on my behalf. Jay won the arguments against the state and the case was dismissed! DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR ATTORNEY. HIRE JAY AND YOU WILL NEVER FEEL UNDER-REPRESENTED.

I've worked with Matt for two different cases. I had a pending DUI charge in Olathe, in which the case looked pretty bad for me. However, Matt was able to convince the judge to not only keep my license with no restrictions or suspensions, but I was also granted diversion. Therefore I have the potential to not be charged with a DUI, given I complete diversion successfully. Luckily Matt had been encouraging through that process so far. Unfortunately I got myself into more trouble, and was arrested for domestic battery. Matt managed to have my charges for that case completely dismissed. I'm really thankful to have had an attorney that was so experienced, and was very cooperative with working with my busy schedule. Any lawyer is expensive, but Matt made this series of unfortunate events affordable for me and I'm confident in saying that with any other lawyer I'm not sure the results would've ended up in my favor. He wants the best outcome for his clients, and goes above and beyond to make that happen. I intend to stay out of trouble, but he'd be my go-to-attorney if need be. Wouldn't think twice. Thanks Matt!
