Specifically her work for me had been in conjunction with her representing my wife in a very messy and scary divorce from her previous husband, a sadistic narcissist who was stalking, harassing, and slandering her at every turn. He would threaten anyone who helped my wife with legal action, which included trying to get a protective order against me to keep me away from her and our two minor children. I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

I had a nasty divorce, it took 6 years and in the process I ended up getting a stalking injunction against my mother in law for breaking into our home, vandalizing my property, visiting with our neighbors and spreading rumors and slander. I did that myself and ended up with 8 counts of stalking against her.
She is so vindictive she ended up waiting about a year and then used the some of the same incidents that were counted against her... to try to get an injunction against me. She submitted it in one district court outside of Utah County where the judge flat denied her request. He wrote "This does not constitute stalking!" and underlined it... He wrote denied right on the front cover.
2 weeks later she filed the same thing in the fourth district. The damned judge did not even let me and my divorce attorney present or defend me. He just gave her the Stalking Injunction she asked for. (I think judges are afraid if something were to happen... and they did not give one out... they would be in a jamb)
I hired Dallas to appeal this. He did... and the writing was BRILLIANT... really. If you really want to look it up... Appellate cases are not closed in Utah and the case is public. My name is John Andrew Armstrong. Hers is Candace Peterson... just google it.
It took forever it seems, not for Dallas but for the State Appellate court to make their call. Needless to say, we won and were awarded attorney fees.
Dallas is top notch, I have referred him before to others as well who have had positive experiences. He is safe, effective and smart. Well worth your trust.

I had already met with other attorneys, but I felt like Spencer listened to me. He took time to become familiar with my situation, and then presented several options or strategies on how to proceed. He kept me informed throughout the whole divorce process. Mr Dickinson and his office were amazing! I am embarrassed to say it was shocking what an emotional time this was for me. I felt like I had no control of what was happening to me and my daughter, and how to best save my future. Grant made me feel like he truly cared what happened to me and my daughter. I retained Matt for two reasons, his prices were reasonable and I was broke. To make a long story short, in a divorce with no assets, the entire process, including sitting down with my ex and her lawyer on three separate occasions, absolutely nothing was accomplished. In the end I went from being a FT father to seeing my kids on wednesday and every other weekend. Matt argued for nothing in my defense, and that worked out just the way you would assume it would...I got screwed. In the end we paid for a 3rd party to do the work (for 200.00) that Matt should have done. Still can't figure out how a guy like this keeps his license and makes a living at what he does....some people were born to work in food service, Matt should be one of them...

This attorney avoids returning phone calls, text messages, replying to emails, and has a tendency to disappear when you need help.
This attorney is quick to believe non-credible people and non-credible information about his client and jump on the bandwagon / false narrative without getting the other side of the story or prematurely before getting the proven facts.
If you communicate to him how you feel things are going with his "services" and improvements you would like to see, he is quick to dismiss your concerns, act in a rude manner by calling you a name and/or make false assumptions about you based on no evidence. He doesn't like getting constructive criticism.

I was in an extremely messy divorce process with a spouse who was making false allegation. I went from having supervised visitation to joint physical and legal custody, defended me successfully in mediation, he got me a good deal in spite of the negative experience a divorce is. Mr. Cahill gave me lots of advice before the divorce filed which was a huge help for me as a client in the legal issues I faced in the process. Highly recommended.

Trent Cahill seemed like a nice professional guy when I first met him; however, during the process of him representing me, there were many times where I felt he was representing the opposing party. He tried pushing me to make decisions that would help the opposing party. He would sometimes send time sensitive emails later than I would expect something of time sensitive nature to be handled. I tried to communicate that I would prefer to receive emails sooner. But I continued to receive emails late. I would recommend Trent Cahill if you want to spend a lot of money for subpar performance and results. I would not recommend Trent Cahill if you want to be strongly represented.

Our experience with Dean Zabriskie was very disappointing. The Zabriskie's were very promising and attentive, until they got the retainer check, and then the grand promises began to erode. Phone calls were refused even at previously arranged times. They never once visited to discuss the case or defense strategies, relying on very brief meetings outside the courtroom right before a hearing, and then primarily to demand more money(even though the agreed-upon retainer was promised to be enough to handle the case until resolution). Retaining the Zabriskie's was a terrible mistake and he would not recommend them to anyone.

Dean knows his way around a courtroom and is very good with the judge. However, he proved to be pretty unreliable when it came to keeping me informed. He also didn't keep his word with things he told me he would do. He would ask the judge for time extensions on numerous occasions, so he could do more things, then by the next time we went to court he hadn't don't anything and had to ask for more time. The judge was angry about it. He was able to pull off some things a public defender wouldn't have, but for the price he charges I would not recommend him.

Do NOT waste your time and money with Jere. We hired him to represent us in a DCFS case, not a divorce. Regardless, he absolutely does not have the best interest of his clients whatsoever, and puts in zero effort. Even with the smallest, easiest things such as asking our judge a very simple question regarding visitation, he did not ask because that would require he actually do something! Every meeting with him did not include conversation regarding our case, only conversation about our family member he romantically obsessed over. The final straw was when he made us completely miss our hearing because he was too lazy to set up his computer ahead of time then blamed it on “routine internet problems.” Even if there was internet problems (which idk how that’s possible when he didn’t even have a computer turned on) he was 20 minutes late, and showed no hustle when I told him everyone was waiting on him! We finally fired him after that. He then sent us an invoice which did not AT ALL match the price we agreed on. Not only did he put double the time he actually spent, he charged us for TEXTING. Even when he was the one who text us to see how things are going. He is lazy, and crooked. Don’t make the same mistake we did by giving him the benefit of the doubt. Take the advice from his reviews and find an attorney who actually has your best interest.
