Vicki and Barb were amazing throughout my divorce. Vicki will not waste your time/money with pointless meetings or calls, but she will show up for court prepared and organized. She made my spouse's attorney look incompetent and unprepared when she walked in with a binder for testimony with color-coded tabs for each section that we covered. Vicki was able to find a case law that got my foot in the door in a court system that otherwise would have refused to hear my case and continued to let my financially dominant ex continue to exert power and control through financial manipulation. But mainly, Vicki and Barb truly care about you on a human level and will treat your case with care and compassion. The family you created being legal broke apart is NEVER an easy thing but I am sure that having Vicki and Barb's support made it so much better than it otherwise would have been. Thank you!

I cannot express how extremely happy I was to have Vicki Francios as my lawyer during a very long 2+ year custody and child support battle. Vicki was not only extremely knowledgeable, but she explained everything to me with extreme detail and on a level that I would understand. I never felt rushed in a meeting or on the phone when discussing the details and strategies of my case. Vicki answered every question I had and provided reasoning behind them. However, the main thing that I was overly thankful for was Vicki’s compassion, caring, and concern for not only my life, but my child’s during this difficult time. Mr. Damico helped through the process of working through a difficult custody case and a frivolous criminal charge my ex brought against me. I ended up after the lengthy amounts of arguments and cases with custody of my kid almost half of every month and found not guilty if the ridiculous charge that was brought against me.
He doesn't pull any punches and he'll give you his no BS opinion on things.
I greatly recommend him, and thank you Mr. Damico for getting this father time to spend with his daughter. She recognizes and now.

I had a very lengthy custody case. Mr.Damico handled all the paperwork in a very timely manner, he was honest about expectations and always able to find time to talk about the case leading up to it. In the courtroom, I couldn't have been more impressed. The evidence was presented in a precise manner. His experience and expertise in law was an amazing display. Matthew Liller represented me after I received a speeding ticket for reckless driving in Virginia. Since I was an out of State resident, Matt took all the steps to ensure that the case could be handled without me returning to Virginia's General District Court. He requested information from me and that I take certain actions before the case was heard before the judge. As a result, I received a minimal fine and he made what was a stressful situation much more easier. His fee was reasonable and he delivered the services that I sought. John was great. I am from out-of-state and he handled everything for me. The thing I liked best about John was that he gave me a very realistic expectation as to what the outcome would likely be given my infraction. No "pie in the sky" promises. He was able to fulfil his promise and although I was not overjoyed, I was ok with the disposition of my case. Apparently going 10 MPH over the speed limit is considered reckelss and a criminal offense in Rockbridge County and could cost you up to $2500!!!. Who knew! John was able to get my "reckless" reduced to a a regular "speeding" and in Virginia, that's huge. I paid $200 in fines and court costs which I was ok with. No points would have been great, but I know he did the best he could given the climate regarding traffic infrations in Rockbridge County.
Also, John's fees were reasonable. I had talked to several other attorneys who quoted me as much as 3x's what John charged and I would be hard pressed to believe they could have gotten a better outcome.

How have I not reviewed Mr. Spencer on this website already? Mr. Spencer is incredible. He truly gives so much time and attention to your case and tells you exactly what his expectations are. To be honest, he has never steered me wrong in any of the custody cases (there have been way more than I’d like to admit, unfortunately) he has represented myself (and now my husband) in. In fact, he has never even been wrong in his expectations of the outcome of any of my cases thus far. He is capable of dealing with complex situations and suggesting the best approaches to difficult subjects. He is down to earth and very personable/knowledgeable. If you’re hesitant to hire Mr. Spencer, my suggestion to you is simple: Don’t be!

David Lawrence is a professional and takes his cases very seriously. I have used him twice in cases I had in Roanoke and Bedford and both times it went in my favor. I was I charged with theft in Roanoke. I explained my charged to Mrs. Federico she listen and told me up front what my story sounded like and believed me. I did not steal anything, but she told me it was going to be very hard or to even get this dismissed. We went to court did the whole process. In the end she got the case dismissed. I admit I have do many things in my life and have never took anything from anyone before in my life. When I hired Mrs. Derrico I had been clean from drugs for 18 months. When I was using for 2yrs of my life I never took anything from anyone. Mrs. Derrico was upfront and honest with me and even put up with high strung fear of this charge. She believed me and I placed my faith in her. Believe if want to complaint about the cost of a lawyer then go with court a appointed lawyer and take your chances. Hiring a good lawyer is worth your future. To Mrs. Derrico is that lawyer. She was wonderful and did not play games. She was stright forward and did not tell me something to give me false hope. My family and I were very pleased with how Mr. Kurtin handled everything in our case (not guilty on a literal made up charge, and malicious prosecution). Our court/justice system, is not what we are led to believe, and without people like Mr. Kurtin, real attorneys, that will push back, enforce protocols, and the law as it is written and legislated, none of us have a chance at real defense against the corrupt among us. Mr. Kurtin genuinely cares about his clients, he cares about the integrity of the system, but is not ignorant to its shortcomings and corruption. I hired Lugar Law of Roanoke, VA on May 4, 2020 to represent me in regards to a speeding ticket I received in Roanoke County. At first I was pleased with their responsiveness and they quoted me a fee of $150.00 for them to represent me, which was considerably cheaper than other law firms that I had spoken to. I paid the fee and sent them a copy of my insurance verification and a copy of the ticket. At Cerid Lugar’s instruction I had my speedometer calibrated and emailed the firm a copy of the results. They in turn sent me an email showing a letter that they sent to a judge, noting that my speedometer was inaccurate. I was content that the matter was being taken care of.
On Friday, May 22, I received a call from the admin at Lugar law stating that they had erred, and that they thought the speeding ticket had been issued in Franklin County instead of Roanoke County. I found this to be a bit incredulous given that they had a copy of the speeding ticket and it states clearly in boldface red letters ROANOKE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT. The admin advised that since the offence happened in Roanoke County instead of Franklin county, that the fee would be $700 instead of the $150, which I had already paid. I was shocked to say the least. I had spoken to a few other lawyers in the area and the average fee was $360.00 and if Lugar Law had stated that ballpark figure, I would not have been that dumbfounded but an increase of FIVE HUNDRED and FIFTY DOLLARS??? The admin stated she would talk to Cerid Lugar and see if she would consider a compromise given that I had already paid the fee and the ERROR was due to Lugar Law, but she called me back and stated that Cerid Lugar would not lower the fee. At no point did Cerid Lugar call me to offer any detailed explanation or apology. I FIRED the law firm on the spot and demanded a refund, advising I would seek representation elsewhere.
The fact that Lugar Law made such an egregious error and the fact that they were unwilling to acknowledge or accept responsibility for that error speaks volumes to their unprofessionalism. Attorneys are supposed to act in their client’s defense and a lot of trust is placed in them. Having that trust violated is a serious betrayal and what Lugar Law did to me felt like a SHAKEDOWN. If you are considering hiring them, I would advise you to FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Who knows how much they might SQUEEZE you for.

At the end of 2017 I purchased a vehicle and learned a couple months later after having some issues with the vehicle, that the odometer had been rolled back. I called at least 10 attorneys in the area and was told by a few that there was nothing I could do and then by the rest that my case was too complicated to pursue.... Luckily I found Cerid just before I decided to give up. Not only did she get my settled for a fair amount she also showed that my Fair Credit Reporting Rights had been violated and that became part of my settlement. Cerid is a straightforward and honest attorney who doesn't say what you want to hear but rather says what you need to hear. She is an amazing attorney and my family and I are very grateful to have found her! She is also great with communicating the case details! The did far more than I could have hoped. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an attorney in her area.

I had an out of state traffic offense that I needed help with. I searched through the law firms in the area and read some reviews, and decided to take my chance with Attorney Lugar. I could not be happier with the outcome!
