I made the mistake of using a public defender when I caught my first case. That taught me that public defenders dont care and are really just there to process you thru the system. Please don't make the same mistake I did. When I ended up catching a bogus second dui case, I hired Chudnovksky Law and they assigned Kareem to defend me in airport court. He was a bull dog and did not give up.
Retaining Kareem Aref was well worth it. He got my case dismissed and I didn’t even have to go to court. Kareem had my back!!!!

I was driving 120 MPH when I was pulled over and arrested for DUI. It was passed midnight when the lights of the cop car flooded my rear view mirror. I knew I had one too many drinks and I knew I was going to jail. Still, I was hoping I could talk my way out of it. I answered their questions. It didn't help. My speech was slurred. I did their tests on the side of the road. I almost fell over a few times. With each second I could feel the jail closing in on me. The cops didn't care about me. They were so pissed I was driving so fast they couldn't wait to take me to jail. I was arrested and blew .12 twice into the breathalyzer. I thought it was over.
I knew of Derek from other friends that had used him. They had their cases dismissed or walked away with very little. He wasn't cheap, but my friends swore by him. I saved every nickel and raised every dime I could to hire him. It was the best decision I've ever made.
When I met with him he explained everything. He told me "you're paying me to do the worrying for you" and I truly felt he cared. I know he cared.
The Torrance DA (Some woman named Gillian) wanted to send me to jail for months because of some rule that says if you're driving as fast as I was you do a minimum of 2 months jail. I couldn't believe it. Derek wasn't having it. He fought with them, but they wouldn't budge. It was take the jail or go to trial.
We went to Trial.
I was scared to death when the jury was picked. Then Derek started doing his thing. He showed the jury another side. He showed the cops didn't know what they were doing and that they were lying. They didn't need to lie, but they did. Derek was clearly the smartest guy in the room. Everything they threw at us Derek blasted.
More than anything, Derek cared. He put his heart and soul into the case. He really cared what would happen to me. I wasn't just a client. He treated me like I was a member of his family on trial. The jury saw that and I won. MY CASE WAS DISMISSED!!!!!!!

We hired Derek on 2 separate occasions for a family member. One was a DUI and the other a DV charge. Despite being handed many difficult situations by the client, the judge and D.A., Derek was able to literally pull out a few miracles. The client was able to get very lenient outcomes. Derek is a fighter and likes to win. Even better he doesn't like to lose, so if you need a good lawyer who will fight for you, hire Derek.

I had a great experience working with Bibee. That was my first legal issue. It was small, but I never involved in any similar issues before so I was scared. He was all professional, knowledgeable, willing to help and cared not only about making money. I first talked with him on phone which gave me enough instructions and made me feel lighter, then in person, which was an efficient time also.
My case had a happy ending and as it supposed to be. Bibee contributed a lot In this. He was helpful when needed with a reasonable charge I think, so I recommend him.

Mr. Bibee was great! I got the traffic survey and Mr. Bibee noticed it was expired, so he got my ticket dismissed on that basis. I would never have known this because the city traffic engineer told me it was current. Mr. Bibee responded to my emails quickly and drove over an hour to meet me in court exactly when he said he would be there, which was 30 minutes before my trial. Can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to have a lawyer who is pleasant, competent, and professional. Would highly recommend him!

I had two traffic tickets that had gone to warrant because I ignored them for years. He went to the two courts (Long Beach and Torrance) and successfully negotiated with the courts to reduce the fines and remove the warrants. I was even allowed to pay part of them with Community Service.
I would not have been able to drive if he hadn't accomplished this. His fee was very reasonable for the amount of work and travel that he had to do. And he was polite and helpful along the way. Very professional but also down to earth.
I highly recommend Wayne Bibee if you have a similar case to handle.

Pamela Tedeschi has to be the exception for all attorneys. Shes exactly who you want on your corner. We had a case involving 4 people caught in a medical marijuana grow and she made sure all our cases got dismissed.. nothing more is needed to say. we have as a group been through numerous attorneys and none were remotely close to Pamela Tedeschi

My friends and I are in the medical marijuana business and are sometimes in need of an attorney. The one day that I found myself in a bad position my good friend suggested Pam. I must say that I will never use another criminal lawyer again in California. She was honest about my situation and didn't charge me a full retainer until charges were filed, which they weren't, and that saved me thousands other attorneys would have just kept.
She defended a couple of my friends since and before and has done stellar jobs every time she is called into duty.

I got in to a fight with a man and I beat the xsit out of him. The DA wants to send me to prison for 11 years ridiculous. Through Matt's help, I was only stayed in Jail for 2 days. So you understand the difference. Matt is always on time and prepared. He is strong in front of Judge and he makes his points and the judge had to agree with. He really get along with everyone involved with the case and all my friends likes him. I communicate with Matt during court sessions and we successfully caught the fake evidences the witness brought to court and the judge loved what we did we could tell.
Before the last court session, Matt wrote a 9 pages long description of my life to the judge and that really helped too. He is definitely a great professional lawyer and he deserves what he got paid for!

Mr. Rounds came through for me in a variety of cases, he was able to get a multiple count traffic ticket dismissed, and when I again asked for his services, he also assisted me in my DUI case that was much more extensive than I had known at the time of my arrest. It was simplified and charges were dropped while others were reduced. I appreciated his thorough communication with me on my cases, which was something I had heard many lawyers in this city did not practice. I cannot recommend Joshua Needle highly enough. He is an excellent appellate lawyer, expert in criminal matters and a fine writer, a trait not shared by many of his peers.
I engaged Josh three years ago to step in and write an emergency appeal for a case that was already on the appellate court’s calendar. The first attorney I hired completely bolloxed the appeal both in conception and execution. Josh was able to step in, review the (extensive) trial record, write a compelling brief and present oral arguments in an efficient and timely fashion.
Subsequently, Josh provided immeasurable assistance when we found ourselves in arbitration with our original appellate attorney in an effort to retrieve a fee we felt wasn’t earned. The OCBA agreed with us and ordered the fee returned.
Our relationship with Josh was extended when this attorney, rather than return the fee as ordered, instead sued us for breach of contract. Josh represented us through a ridiculous thicket of motions, discovery, expert witnesses, idiot judges, arbitration and resolution.
Even though my relationship with Josh sprang from one appeal, circumstances enabled me to see Josh at work on three different actions. He demonstrated considerable legal breadth and helped rehabilitate my confidence in the legal profession.

This man has the shrewdness of a fox and the kindness of a dove. You will not find a better lawyer than Mr. Brooks. He throws himself into a problem seeking to solve it, not simply rack up billable hours. My son had a legal problem and Mr. Brooks responded quickly and was able to understand, advise, and reassure me in short time. His background is extensive. He graduated from Hastings Law School of San Francisco, which is one of the best law schools in the country. He has worked for the California State Attorney General and was the attorney for the City of Santa Monica, California. Now he works the "other side" for the defense and he is brilliant. As I understand it, Mr. Brooks was a debate champion in both high school and college and it shows. Every lawyer worth his/her salt will avoid trial court, but, if you must, Mr. Brooks is exceptional with a calm, rational confidence that wins hearts and minds. Fortunately, Mr. Brooks was able to give me sound advice; he has my profound gratitude and appreciation.

Avi was great in helping us get our earnest money deposit back. We cancelled the escrow due to inspection contingency, but the sellers refused to return our money and lawyered up. Thanks Chris Ingram law office for a smooth and straight forward process for my EB1 case. Let me breakdown my experience with them:
1. Intake: detailed breakdown of the categories that I could apply for. Tim was my intake specialist and he answered all the questions I had and gave me confidence to choose this lawfirm to support my case.
2. Onboard: pay the lawyer fees accordingly. I started end of Jan 2024.
3. Paperwork preparation: the team was available to talk to me via conference call appointment a few times. Majority of the communication will be via email. For my case, I focused the energy on 3 categories + Merit. The team shared the template for the recommendation letter for me. However, from data gathering and writing recommendation letter for signing, I had to all do it by myself. Once having all the approved document for each category, then they would proceed with having the category for writing by the legal team. Things happen in series so my entire case was not ready to be shipped out till end of August 2024, so plan your time wisely.
I was hoping the team could be a bit faster, and they got back with additional charges if I wanted to expedite the case filing. 1. Intake: detailed breakdown of the categories that I could apply for. Tim was my intake specialist and he answered all the questions I had and gave me confidence to choose this lawfirm to support my case.
2. Onboard: pay the lawyer fees accordingly. I started end of Jan 2024.
3. Paperwork preparation: the team was available to talk to me via conference call appointment a few times. Majority of the communication will be via email. For my case, I focused the energy on 3 categories + Merit. The team shared the template for the recommendation letter for me. However, from data gathering and writing recommendation letter for signing, I had to all do it by myself. Once having all the approved document for each category, then they would proceed with having the category for writing by the legal team.
