I found Thomas in a moment in my life when I felt like things were going downhill for me. I got arrested for my second-time DUI, the first which I got just two years before.
I realized I had one more day to find an attorney so I did some research on the internet and felt like my time was running out. I came across Thomas on Yelp and called his offices. He answered and we spoke on the phone for a little bit and he decided to represent me which felt like a huge relief. He treated me like a friend and reassured me that everything would be okay if I pray and get my life together, which I did, and then he would do the rest.
He attended court for me, and he was able to bring down the second-time DUI to only a wet reckless driving charge!
That saved me a whole lot of trouble and money and I didn’t have to serve any time in jail, do any volunteer work, or have any punishment. It really did save me from disaster and now I have completely stopped drinking and driving which has made my life better in a lot of ways. Thomas was there for me and pulled off what seems like a miracle for a second DUI.
I am so thankful for him. He is truly the best, very honest and faithful, and a great attorney. If you’re in the Bay area and need to be represented for a DUI, Thomas is your guy.

I was arrested for DUI, involving an accident and blood alcohol level that was much higher than the legal level, more than a year ago. It is one of the most unimaginable and unthinkable event of my life. I reached out to Attorney Thomas Fleming, who is the best DUI lawyer around. The moment I talked to him I knew he’s a heaven-sent.
He guided me through the process and gave me incredible recommendations to help me get on with my situation. Took all his time to represent me on both hearings, from the DMV and the court. Flawlessly convinced the DA to dismiss my DUI charge and dropped it to a wet and reckless, with no punishment or penalty whatsoever. He also had the judge find me not guilty of the DUI. The court then ordered the DMV to not suspend my license. He miraculously made the impossible to be possible.
With all that being said, I am beyond thankful, grateful and Blessed to have him by my side all this time. Miracles do happen and he is a miracle worker.

We really appreciate how Oath has a system in place to move through the entire estate planning process. At first I thought it was a bit fast how smoothly and quickly they handled the process. I realized that Living Trusts are all they go, so they have the system down and know Trust Law extremely well. Why procrastinate when so many families/people already lag on getting their Living Trust completed.I realized that so much of the process was knowing what we wanted in detail and that took us some time, but it was great to know that OATH gives their clients 3 months to make any changes. There is also a no charge 3 year follow up or
a yearly follow up and revision option for a reasonable fee. Usually once a Trust is completed you never look at it again, but Oath has made this process simple. We worked with Jody for an eviction case during Covid. He was to the point, quick to answer and easy to communicate. The ease of communication and quickness lasted all through the life of the case. However, there were several oversights, or little mistakes that cost us money and time. Also be aware Jody doesn't have an assistant or paralegal so you are still charged the higher attorney fee for the tasks that can be done by an assistant for a fraction of the price. Overall, we had a bittersweet taste and honestly Jody will not be our first preference if we have to work with an attorney for real estate issues again.

Derek is the kindest man you’ll ever meet. He honest and humble and he genuinely wants to help people. I was facing 3 Felonies that I was 100% sure I couldn’t get out of. The public defender had told me that there was nothing I could do but accept a plea bargain and serve 2 years instead of going to court and potentially getting 7-10. Derek was able to get it reduced to the 30 days I had served and all 3 felonies became one misdemeanor and it was over. I have recommended Derek to everyone I know who is looking for a Defense Attorney for 9 years and will continue to do so as the 2 individuals I referred to him had the same experience as I did. Derek cares, he won’t sugar coat anything but he is positive and kind, trustworthy, caring, intelligent and compassionate. The number one thing for me was that he was so communicative and transparent. He always took my calls or called me right back and answered every question I had. If I kept a public defender I would have spent 2-10 years in prison. I ever saw the inside of a jail again after I called Derek.

There were several factors that I considered when hiring an attorney to represent me for a DUI charge, which included being local, having extensive experiences with DUI cases, understanding his fees, and most importantly, treating me with dignity. Mr. Ewin previously worked for the Contra Costa County DA office, and this experience and his connections was necessary given that I do not reside in the Bay Area. I decided to contact Mr. Ewin after doing extensive research about where he went to law school (UC Davis), types of cases he represents, and reading many of the online reviews. Several consistent themes emerged from his online reviews that prompted me to consult him: he is personable, aggressive, well connected, knowledgeable, and handles cases with the utmost professionalism and dignity.
During consultation over the phone, Mr. Ewin explained in layman’s terms the paralleled process of the criminal court and DMV administrative hearing for DUI cases. He then interviewed me about my personal background and ascertained the facts of my case, which led to his advice about the best way to proceed. After this consultation, I decided to hire Mr. Ewin.
The first thing he did was schedule the DMV administrative hearing to coincide with my court date, which allowed me to drive for three months legally. Next, he represented me at the initial court hearing that I was unable to attend. After the initial court hearing, Mr. Ewin negotiated with the DA’s office to reduce the charges. It is necessary to understand that Mr. Ewin was upfront and never promised me an outcome, but suggested based on his knowledge and experience he would aggressively work with the DA’s office to get my charges reduced.
Mr. Ewin prepared me for the second court hearing by walking me through the documents and what I should expect. He made sure I understood the legal ramifications of my options. The morning of my second court case, Mr. Ewin was able to move my case to the front of the docket even though scheduled for a later time. While in court, I understood how important it was to have hired Mr. Ewin. Other folks in my situation were meeting their court-appointed attorneys for the first time. In fact, I was astonished to bear witness to one court-appointed attorney publicly call her clients by their names, introduce herself, and briefly talk to them about their cases for the first time. Also, while in court, Mr. Ewin called DMV to see if they had made a decision about my case.
Mr. Ewin successfully got my DUI charges reduced to wet reckless. As a result, I paid lower fines, and the court did not suspend my license. Although I did not win the DMV administrative hearing (from what I have read and confirmed by Mr. Ewin only 9 – 10% of cases are won), Mr. Ewin aggressively argued my case based on a discrepancy he found in the police report.
I highly recommend Mr. Ewin if you are seeking a talented, aggressive, well-connected, and personable attorney to represent you in a DUI case.

Six months ago, one of my children was arrested, and the charges were very serious. We immediately contacted Mr. Burak, who was incredibly supportive, and caring. During this difficult time, Mr. Burak always made sure that we were understanding what was going on with our child, as we had never been through anything like this before. He never ignored our questions, (we had many) and he was always open to listening to anything we had to say regarding our child's case.

On the several occasions that we had to attend Court, we noticed that Mr. Burak is very well respected, amongst his peers and other officers of the Court. Blackie defended me in a DUI case, which ended in a mistrial. We went back to trial a year later and Blackie convinced the DA and judge to dismiss the charges, and I was exonerated. Blackie is a hardworking and honest lawyer, and his wife Jane is understanding, caring and a pleasure to work with. I did quite a bit of research before retaining Blackie and also recently sat on a jury for another DUI trial. Put simply, I don't believe there is a better DUI legal team out there. All the other lawyers I talked to recommended I plead guilty. I'm glad I didn't listen to them and retained Blackie instead.

I was arrested for an alleged DUI in the county of Napa. Despite having fully cooperated with the arresting officer and performing the FSTs satisfactorily, the arresting officer didn't tell me that the PAS was optional and had me provide blood samples in an unsanitary area. Peter was quick to act, he had the blood samples thrown out and all of the extra charges that the DA manufactured into the case nulled and voided. In the end a serious DUI charge was reduced down to a single speeding infraction. Peter and his team were extremely helpful throughout the often frustrating and ambiguous ordeal. I hope you never need the services of a DUI lawyer, but if you do I unequivocally recommend Peter Johnson and his team. He literally wrote the book on DUI defense.

Incredible. Peter had my blood sample thrown out which led to the DA dismissing my case for insufficient evidence. As he said in my initial consultation, results are far from guaranteed but he thoroughly explored all possible weeknesses and put pressure everywhere possible to capitalize on anything possible. I can't possibly imagine better representation. I wish you the best of luck with any lawyer you choose to hire, but I hope for your sake that you choose Peter.
