Doug Johnson requested a $5k retainer to perform services for my company. After several months - Doug Johnson informed us that he doesn't have the skillset to present motions in court, and that he primarily only works on settlements. He told us he was not willing to take the matter further. He refused to provide a log of hours worked on request, and kept the $5k retainer. As an attorney myself, I would recommend highly that anyone seeking assistance look elsewhere for a more skilled attorney.

I found Peggy after googling and reading about 100+ reviews. She was very helpful in making everything very straightforward and simple. Many times I wanted to put super specific language in there to address potential fears of mine but 99% of the time, they were items that weren't enforceable, were already covered by law, or were things she encouraged I keep a more open mind about. She spends a ton of time in the courtroom, is familiar with all the Cook County judges, and has decades of experience so I appreciated how black and white she made things. Peggy is very direct and concise. In our initial interview, she cut me off a time or two because I was apparently talking more than listening. At first, I was turned off by it (even though it was true lol) but I immediately saw it as an advantage with opposing counsel and I was 100% correct about that. If you're a person who likes control or is long-winded and isn't used to constructive feedback, consider this an opportunity to work on that because I actually quickly grew out of the experience. She has only 100% of your best interest at heart and I could tell that during the interview.
She was also very personable, and I really appreciated how well she could relate to my situation. We had several really good discussions not only as attorney/client but also as single parents; she's further ahead in this process than me and really opened my eyes in a few areas (*cough* giving them mobile phones when they get older *cough*).
As a techie, I was looking for more digital redlining, PDF editing etc but we did most everything via email modifications. It ended up being ok and made it super easy for me to search for emails with any changes that were made. She's always available via text but please don't misuse that or else she'd never have time to get things done; she (or her paralegal) is super responsive via email as well.
Cost-wise, pay the flat fee upfront and you will save $10K minimum easily and my situation was pretty straightforward and easy in comparison to most people.
I had a great experience and outcome in my divorce proceedings and would recommend Peggy to handle things.

I was connected to Alex Moskovic through an Employer referral service at my work. I hired him regarding a no contact staking order against a former employee who harassed me and my family electronically and exerted multiple threats. This was an emotionally very draining time. In short, Alex helped me to obtain a 2 year plenary order by agreement, a rare achievement thanks to his great knowledge of the law. With the order in place I feel protected from the harasser and can continue living my life. As someone who never faced any legal situation, Alex guided me through the process and was available to talk when I needed him. He calmly answered all my questions and explained happenings in court, their implications and next steps in a way I could understand, which was important to me. Alex also multiple times provided his professional opinion on a parallel criminal case against the same individual that was ongoing. With his dedication, I wish Alex could have represented me in this case too. Overall, I’m very happy with Alex service and will recommend him to anyone seeking representation for an order of protection. I hope I will never need such legal services again, but if I do I will surely get back to Moskovic Law!

Alex was my attorney handling my post-divorce action for college expenses. It was a very difficult situation with an uncooperative co-parent and unorthodox opposing attorney. I was very happy with how Alex handled my ex and his attorney. He was always responsive to me and knowledgeable about the law, the judge and provided excellent advice to get the matter settled. He understood my case and what my goals were. He knew when to 'play hardball' and when to tell me to make concessions. I highly recommend Alex to anyone. He is a great attorney.

To support my statement I will tell you why I feel this way...
My legal needs started in Florida when I was going through a high conflict divorce. I had two lawyers in Florida before moving back to Illinois where I needed to basically go through the mediation and divorce process all over again in order to transfer my child support guidelines and parenting plan to the state of illinois where my Ex and children relocated to and I moved to to be closer to my kids.
Going through this process again (Mediation, Parenting Plan changes, etc) was extremely stressful initially beacuse I feared it wouldn't go well, as that was my experience in Florida. I soon realized because of Alex's experience, care, and insightful and timely communication, this go round was going to be different for me.
I felt hamstrung somewhat, due to my actions in the past and the previous outcomes of emergency motions, relocation hearing, awarded child sharing time previously, etc, that things would not work out in my favor again. That was not the case this time around. I had made changes in my life to better myself as a person, however in the legal field / court room the past will always resurface. Mr. Moskovic has exceptional skill in the divorce / Family Law field. Wether it be his attention to detail, timely response to client communications, ability to work through tense and sometimes high conflict situations with my EX and her counsel, Alex is top notch, well prepared, and did not let anything slip through the cracks. He literally helped me achieve what i thought may not be possible, additional time with my kids without the unnecessary drawn out legal fight.
These processes are never a walk in the park. But I honestly feel with Alex Moskovic - Moskovic Law at my side supporting me, fighting for my rights as a parent, I gained back what I missed so much, time with my kids. I am forever grateful for what he has done and will continue to retain Mr. Moskovic for all my Family Law needs as long as he is practicing.

Does not acknowledge emails especially when concerns are raised in regard to how an estate is being handled. One other thing, when confronted with the issues, the receptionist is very rude and she can yell at the client. The lawyer is out of the office however, both of them have acknowledge messages. I’ve been sending them for over three weeks in regard to serious issues to my mother‘s estate. I will now file a formal complaint against this lawyer. Beware, they don’t care about you especially if your mother’s estate isn’t worth much.

Jason took me through my bankruptcy case. At such a difficult time, he was extremely understanding and compassionate about my situation. He also made sure I was prepared for all the things that would or could come up throughout the process. Because of this, nothing in the process felt like a painful surprise, which made it much easier to get through psychologically. He was readily available to answer my questions, made me feel comfortable even asking potentially dumb questions, and had tremendous patience. With other professionals, you can sometimes feel like the lawyer etc is trying to keep your appointment as short as possible and they want to move on already to their next client. Jason took his time, never made me feel rushed. He also went above and beyond in so many ways. For instance, he drove all the way out to the south suburbs to meet me in person for our first meeting. He also called ahead to the courthouse because I was concerned that they might not let me bring my laptop. I had no expectation nor had I asked him to do those things - he just offered/did them for me.

Sharon helped me through a very difficult and long separation and divorce. She was honest and direct and because of her years of experience was able to advise me no matter what arose. She always returned my emails and calls in a timely manner, and was very conscientious of the fact that my time was limited and we mainly were in touch via email, saving me both time and money. If I could this law office 100 stars, I would. I found the law office of Mr Steven Grace after I had spoken to 10-15 other law offices, legal advisors, online research, and countless free consultations. I almost just gave up as I was trying to battle a very complex lawsuit against myself and my company in the state of IL, and I live in TX. From my first call with Mr. Steven Grace, I immediately knew he was the one i was going hire! Not only that he was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and clearly knew exactly what to do, but he also listened and genuinely cared about me as a client. Listed to my full story, presented several options, and settled my case with great deal of confidence. While he was clearly very busy, I truly felt that I was the only client that mattered to him. He reached the resolution that I wanted and kept me informed the whole time. I honestly felt that a friend was helping, not a lawyer. I was sued by a debt collector. I must have called and inquired over a dozen law firms in the Chicagoland area. Many did not want to take my case and others wanted an hourly rate or a sum up front. What was different with Michael Goldstein's practice vs. any other firm I had contacted is his payment structure for his representation was based on percentage of savings making it affordable for me to hire him as my attorney. He was professional and understanding with my situation. Throughout the entire process he was diligent in preparing me for court. I personally did not have to step in the court room because he had my case dismissed. I highly recommend Michael Goldstein to anyone in a similar situation.
