The best lawyer hands down! David helped me navigate aspects of a particularly aggressive and non-standard non-compete agreement in light to new Massachusetts law. He broke down the legal problems into manageable chunks and considered them on a best case and worst-case scenario. He shed light on the legal grey areas particularly where the interpretation of the law is still evolving. David stuck to the problem, was open and friendly to discussion, and answered questions with a great degree of expertise. Further discussion and follow up went beyond the call of duty. While I am on a budget and was initially hesitant to spend money on attorney, after I hired David I am better oriented to the legal situation and feel more secure.

I highly recommend Alan Cohen. We were faced with large (for us) overdue accounts and after many efforts to collect we consulted with Alan. He called us back immediately; he listened to our situation and asked pertinent questions. He provided advice on how our late fees procedures should work (we were posting these correctly) and how we should proceed. The upshot was that we were able to get the client on a payment plan that resulted in payments without going to court. I cannot say enough about the great advice (on how we should approach the matter) and his advice. I would recommend Alan's and his service to anyone needing help in collecting money from a client. We did it without damaging our relationship- yet getting the money we were owed (over $ 180k). We plan on using Alan whenever the need arises. Collecting overdue accounts is painful- don't put off calling Alan and getting advice.

I spoke with Mr. Alan Cohen in regards to collections on an out of state judgement that I have. I have had 2 attorneys working on this case and they can not find a way to collect funds. In my consultation with Mr. Cohen I found him more knowledgably than any other attorneys I have spoke with. I wish I had worked with him from the start. He listened to what I said and then advised me. He is extremely knowledgeable in the law and how to go about things legally. I highly recommend Mr. Cohen to be your first call in legal matters. As a controller for a mid-sized company, we had sent some delinquent business accounts first to a collection agency and then to a lawyer. No luck. We then sent the accounts to Attorney Levine and received full payment on all three accounts within 3 weeks. She was amazing. Now we go directly to her and rarely a problem. Per her advice, we bring the smaller stuff to small claims court ourselves and avoid unecessary collection/legal fees. We highly recommend her.

Carla is kind, professional, and smart. She helped me get out of my bad marriage during the height of covid with grace and intelligence. She was absolutely a rock when they tried to pull some shady things, like stealing all my stimulus checks and trying to make me share my husbands extremely high credit card debt. The opposing lawyer started screaming during one of our Zoom meetings and Carla was absolutely cool as a cucumber. I got my stimulus money back and I did not have to take on paying back his CC debt. I hired Carla Halpern to assist me with a no contest divorce. She was clear about what to expect, made the process much less petrifying than I'd thought possible, and I felt confident with her on my side. We experienced a complication when my ex moved to Asia and failed on a part of his divorce obligations. Without leverage to work with in terms of international law, Ms. Halpern deftly managed to help me get him to make good on those obligations. I recently faced a daunting array of charges, including Assault & Battery on a Family/Household Member, Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Improper Storage of a Firearm. With mandatory minimum incarceration looming, my freedom hung in the balance. Attorney Estes proved to be an invaluable ally during this challenging time. Through his skillful negotiation with the prosecutor, he orchestrated a plea arrangement that resulted in the dismissal of a majority of the charges. Remarkably, he secured a Continuance Without a Finding (CWOF) for the most serious offense, effectively avoiding the mandatory jail time that seemed inevitable. The resulting disposition was probation for one year, a far cry from the harsher alternatives I was initially facing. I cannot overemphasize the significance of having Attorney Estes as your defense lawyer when your freedom is on the line. His expertise, strategic approach, and unwavering dedication make him the advocate you want in your corner.

Attorney Wilkie was successful in recouping a loan I had made to a publicly traded company when I was employed as its CFO/COO. It was no small feat given the company is undercapitalized with its only true asset being intellectual property. Many other attorneys with whom I consulted refused to take on the task, but Counselor Wilkie was intrigued by the prospect stating, "This is a very unique case the likes of which I haven't seen before. I want to do it." The CEO of the company schemed to shield the company's patent and software development from the judgment we eventually obtained. Attorney Wilkie then tracked the intellectual property which was fraudulently transferred through two shell corporations in different jurisdictions and perfected my lien on the corporate assets. Once my lien was perfected, the CEO still stonewalled from paying our judgment. Counselor Wilkie then drafted a motion in an effort to put the company into receivership. The CEO subsequently ignored our service and failed to appear at a status hearing. Attorney Wilkie then succeeded in arguing that the CEO had abdicated his fiduciary duty to the company by failing to appear and got the court to attach the judgment to the CEO personally. Then I finally got PAID !!! I got back all my principal along with interest and legal expenses. I've been involved in a wide range of litigation over my forty years in business. I have nearly three years of law school as part of my education. Attorney Wilkie's complaints and motions were extremely thorough, well researched and expertly drafted. At no point did the judges and magistrates challenge or doubt his arguments. My only regret is not having met Stephen Wilkie years ago.

Mr. Cohen was thorough, kept us informed of all the steps involved (and even asked us if we wanted to know all the steps!), good communication. Always willing to answer our nervous questions - very patient and calm. I thought litigators were going to be vicious from the start. Three years ago, I bought a car from a shady dealer. It ended up being a lemon and costing me thousands of dollars out of pocket. Not knowing what to do, I was referred to Mandy Spaulding Law. She quickly took action. Even though we could have gone to court and got damages, I really didn't want to drag it out. She was able to completely rectify the situation and make me whole, within a few short weeks, without litigation. Fast forward to a new bind I found myself in with a former employer. Although I infrequently write reviews, I knew I definitely had to take the time to write this one. It was personal. A while after my Father died, my husband and I were assisting my Mother in buying a car. It was at this time that we discovered not just how financially illiterate my 70 year old truly was, but also how ill-prepared she truly was with regards to end-of-life planning. As one of my siblings is a successful CFO, my husband and I mistakenly assumed that he would be guiding our Mother through routine financial management, Living Will and Estate Planning, etc...How wrong we were! After searching for the right fit for my Mom, we luckily hired Mark Swartz. Mark had been a customer of mine actually for years, and having been in town for years myself, I had heard of Mark’s fabulous legal reputation. I also knew what a solid, professional person he was. I recently had the pleasure to work with Kristina Yee Vitullo. Unfortunately, I got myself into a situation where I had made, what was for me, a large deposit, much of which was not refundable. As time went on, I realized I did not want to go forward for a variety of reasons. The situation was complex. Kristina is extremely bright and personable and was quick to understand the situation. She wrote a brilliant letter to the organization I had contracted with, and within a few weeks, was able to obtain an 85% refund of my deposit for me. I was incredibly delighted and relieved.
